Ultimate all inclusive holiday
"Have just returned from a ten day holiday with my family of six (my husband and i, my 20 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter as well as my 65+ parents) We had an amazing time, great food, terrific variety and quality. Breathtakingly beautiful resort, immaculately clean and all of the staff committed to you having a great holiday.Quality entertainment in the evenings and an amazing choice of activities during the day should you wish to try something new. We would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to families of all ages. A word of warning on the rooms though, beware of booking a twin/double room in the 'annexe'also known as park view rooms. These are definately not 5 star (2/3 star at best)and are located across a busy road from the main hotel. Check with the hotel to ensure that your tour operator has not booked you in to these 'economy rooms' which are cheaper than the 5 star rooms in the main complex (As our tour op 'On the beach' did with my parents. A quick e-mail to the lovely Maria in guest relations should confirm this to you. Try out the sultans hut for the day - so worth the 40 euros, a real treat!!!"

"Stayed 11 nights. 5 star hotel but 3 star rooms in the main building. Shower turns hot and cold; should definitely not happen in a 5 star. Garden rooms are spacious and fine. Noise is the worst. Disco party right at your balcony until late night. Even someone likes disco won't like it at your doorstep with window glass shaking loud till late night. If you want a quiet and relaxing holiday (with a good night sleep), stay away! "

"This was me and my boyfriends first holiday together and we very much enjoyed it, the staff were very friendly and the hotel was very impressive, the food was brilliant and they had some amazing restaurants, we went in mid October so it was the busy holiday season but it still was rather busy and if you wanted to go to the restaurants in the evening you had to book very much in advance. its a very relaxing and lovely place to holiday the only thing I would say that wasn't to good is that for people of our age which we are 18 and 21 there was no1 really our age and there are not many English at all they are mainly Germans but either way the people were lovely and the entertainment was great. would definitely go back. I would recommend if you are planning on going, i would suggest going with Thomas cook they made it brilliant and the rep was lovely and always willing to help. "

"The hotel was absolutely immaculate they cater to every need you had and always willing to help if you were in a bind. Food and cleanliness was a 12 out of 10 second to none. Kids club was excellent had a lot of activities for the kids giving the adults a break the only downfall was our rep, she was never around so the hotel helped us out a lot when we needed it. I would recommend it to anyone who are a couple or family."

"This was our second visit and on both found it was exactly as the brochure stated. Good food and helpful staff. Plenty to do and well worth every penny. We have booked to go back in October. The facilities are excellent the rooms are very spacious. The garden areas are kept immaculate. Public areas are cleaned regularly and well maintained. The entertainment team are superb and the gala evening and fireworks were fantastic."

"Our problems with this hotel fell into several categories. AIR CONDITIONING The only nonsmoking rooms are on the top floor of the main building. Due to the open-air design, all the not air rises to this floor and hence the corridors are hot like a sauna. The air conditioning in the rooms is very weak and you cannot get the temperature down to a comfortable range. Moreover, they turn off the air conditioner from 3 to 6 a.m. They claimed that the Kemer government required this but I don't buy it, given the other complains here about similar problems. I think they are just trying to save money. And this is a 5+ star hotel with a room rate of $300 per night! It's simply outrageous. Also, the public spaces are not adequately air conditioned, even down in the lobby where the cool air should accumulate. The air conditioning in the public areas is turned off at night until 10 a.m. So it gets very hot in the morning until the turn the AC on. Is this the Kemer government too? I don't think so. FOOD The food in the buffet is very run of the mill. They use very cheap ingredients - no fish or steak, just chicken, noodles, vegetables, hamburger, etc. SERVICE The waiters do not care about guest satisfaction. For instance, my wife asked a waiter a question about what kind of meat was in the salami. He said he did not know. When we asked him if he could find out, he actually refused! On another occasion we asked for a bottle of mineral water (which was present on a lot of the other tables) and the waiter refused to bring it to us. They don't know anything about service here."

"I visited Limra hotel this month, the food and the entertainment was good. However I must add two remarks â 1) SV room â Our room order included additional remark: SV - Sea View room, but when we demand Sea View room at the Reception, they explained us that SV means:" Side View" and not "Sea View", as we ordered and as the tourist agency "The Flying Carpet" promised us. 2) Air conditioning â it is published that the rooms are with air conditioning. When we complained that the air condition is not working. The answer was that the air conditioning system works only A few hours during the day: 6-8 am, 5-7pm and 11 pm -1am. You will all agree with me that it is unacceptable to pay for a 5 star deluxe hotel in the summer, and receive a room without air conditioning during the hot hours of the day."

Limra Great Value All Inclusive
"Have just returned from this resort hotel. We stayed for 14 nights and had a wonderful time, there is so much to do within the complex, the swimming pools are very large and very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, it is easy to find your way around despite the fact it is a large complex. We were in one of the fame garden rooms which was very nice, it was a large room with a good size bath and power shower, hot water was always available. There are not many english people in this resort, mostlty russian and germans, which for us was not a problem, especially as the staff all speak english, and are very friendly and like the english people. If you want a typically english holiday this is not for you, it is different, but in a good way. The food is brilliant, you can try anything, and food is available all day, it is fresh and very clean in all the restaurants and the staff are very attentitve. The beach is mostly pebbles, they have just renewed the pier, which is useful as you can walk from the complex along the wooden planks on the beach straight on to the pier and you can swim straight from there. There is family entertainment in the large amphithetre at night, we saw two good shows, but preferred the live group playing after the amphithetre had finished. You can use the indoor pool, turkish bath (which we did twice), and sauna as part of you all in package. If you have any queries or problems booking restaurants for the eveving just go to the guest relations office, they will sort it all out for you, and are only too pleased to help. There are trips available, a boat trip along the med coast which goes straight from the hotel beach, we thoroughly enjoyed this. You can go quad biking in the mountains and scuba diving from the hotel. To sum up it was a great value holiday at a great resort, something for everyone and May is a great time to go, temperatures ranging from 23 - 29 degrees. Janice and Keith"

"Where do I start...... This hotel is great! I have been to many destinations and sampled various board types but the Limra Park has by far surpassed my expectations. The hotel itself is huge. Has lovely guest rooms and plenty of space. The pool scene is excellent too with a choice of quiet, Kiddies or lively pools to sunbathe by. The beach is literally by the main swimming pool (however is a shingle beach so shoes needed at all times!). The surroundings are simply beautiful and so much attention has gone in to the layout of this hotel. Nothing is too far away. The buffet and the food is excellent. Of course you do get a little bored after a week but the quality is excellent and the choice massive. There are A La Carte restaurants too and snack bars....in fact food is available pretty much all day. The entertainment team are called the Animation team. They are so much fun and friendly and will encourage you to try all manner of games. A gentle no is good enough but there is always an embarrasing one at 12pm so get in the pool at 11.45am if you wish to avoid being pressured - worked a treat! They also host nightly shows for approx an hour which are great fun. This is not a party place but the entertainment team do twice weekly trips to nightclubs should one wish to go. Despite this hotel being near perfect, I will share a few handy hints: 1- All monetary transactions are in Euros.....taking Turkish LIra made it difficult. They do accept but is deemed a bit of a nuisance and you are converting 3 currencies in your head constantly. 2 - This hotel has a very mixed bunch of Nationalities staying there. Few British. mainly German, Dutch and Russian but this is nice to see new cultures. Although being a one language Brit, it was hard to mingle without trying to latch on to a fellow Brit. Take a good book for the pool as you are out numbered 5 - 1 3 - Book early for the A La Carte restaurants as they fill up quickly, these only cost a cover charge and are a welcome break from the buffet. 4 - Pool side bar - takes ages to get served. It struck me on day 5 that it doesnt matter who was next to be served, its merely who gets his attention first. 5 - Get up early and place those towels on the sunloungers before breakfast !!! If you cant beat them, join them. 6 - The evening meal buffet opens at 7pm. If you can wait it out, go approx 8 - 8.30 and avoid the stampede because it was dog eat dog. Plenty of tables but this hotel is huge so you can imagine how many people are trying to eat at once and take the best pieces of fish etc. This hotel offered me everything I wanted - Nice food, convenient drinking and eating patterns, lovely swimming pools, close to beach, amenities (Sauna/Gym/Shops etc). It had it all. If you wish to go somewhere low key and relaxing but fun, classy and fullfilling, this is def the place for you."

"My husband and I travelled to Antalya with 2 friends for our 40th birthday. We were initially looking for a 3 day city break but got a great price to go to Antalya for a week on an allocated on arrival basis. We were very impressed by the Limra hotel, the resort was spotless, the food excellent and although it was out of season the animation staff made sure we were occupied on cloudy days. We were soo impressed that we are returning this summer with our children. There were very few British people there, but we made friends with and spoke to several nationalities including Turkish, German and Belgian people."

Holiday of a lifetime
"My partner and I have just returned from the limra hotel (2/10/05 - 17/10/05) and we miss it already. I cannot stress how brilliant this hotel is: *Our Room* Our room was located in the Limra Park which we already knew, it was on the first floor and we had a fantastic pool view facing the taurus mountains. The room was bright and colourful and large enough for the both of us, bathroom was very nice with a large shower. Turkish sky tv with up to 40 channels, mostly german and turkish but there was 1/2 english channels too. It also had Air conditioning, mini bar (filled daily with several soft drinks) and safety deposit box (free of charge). Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard, left spotless and sometimes our cleaner left flowers on our beds too. *Food and Drink* We enjoyed buffet breakfast at the limra park restaurant most mornings which had a wide variety of food. For lunch you have the choice of staying at the limra park and eating at the pool bar, which we ate at most days. There you have the choice of pizza (freshly cooked from scratch with cheese, tomatos, and ham - Gorgeous!!!!), hamburgers, jacket potato, folded bread with cheese, chips and also a salad buffet. You could also eat a various restaurants in the limra resort, including buffet, pizza and pasta, various snack bars with sandwiches, hotdogs and folded breads. There is something for everyone. Dinner was the favourite part of my day because the food was 5* (sooo tasty!). We ate in the main limra buffet restaurants several times, which had a huge choice, Show cooking each night from spit roasts to sword fish, salad range, pastas, turkish corner, various meat dishes, chips wedges, creamy mash potato, rice etc...... and a HUGE CHOICE of desserts!!!! We also reserved a day in advance to eat in the a'la'carte restaurants which i have to say are worth doing because you feel like your going out for the evening, most have live music, decorated to perfection to the theme and service is brilliant as well as the food. We ate out at Gringos (Mexican) the food was gorgeous, tuna steak, chicken/steak fajitas, etc for the main choice, choice of chrispy salad or soup (warning very very spicy) and also a range of starters and chocci dessert. We experienced the beach bbq which was really fun, You choose your meats and salad and cook it yourself at your own table with your very own bbq overlooking the beach. Also enjoyed the chinese which was situated over the beautiful pond which was excellent and the italian kitchen which served a choice of veal, and salmon etc...all the restaurants were fantastic and had a cover charge from 0-5 euros. *Entertainment* The entertainment team worked very hard to make your holiday one to remember. During the day there was a choice of organised activities and daily tournaments. Evening entertainment was fantastic, professional shows like the Lion King, Moulin Rouge, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid. Various comedy shows which were hilarious, Mr and Mrs limra competitions, Turkish nights and a beach party. After the shows at the ampitheatre there was live music and the disco which was open til 2am. *Overall* This is a very unique hotel and very well run, the staff were very proud of the Limra and have every right to. It is international and you will find many germans, belguims, dutch and russian etc and english is the minority, there were no more than 10 english parties during our stay. But to be honest this wasn't a problem all the entertainment was in english and most of the staff spoke good english. The swimming pools were never full and there was always free sunbeds around the pool, and if your about earlier on the beach. In the evenings we often sat on the pier and beach which was empty. The sea was warmier than the pools during the day and was very clear. I cannot think of anything bad about this hotel and we will definitely return to the Limra again and to be honest stay in the limra park which we found nicer because it was quieter. Sorry the review is so long but we enjoyed the hotel so much and had to share it with you, it is probably the best hotel in the area and better than 5*! P.S Weather was very good in the first week, 30 degrees, and reasonable for the time of year in the 2nd."
