"firstly if you intend to visit this hotel and you are english please be prepared not to receive a room on your first night. if this is acceptable please feel free to book this accommodation, out of 17 english families staying at this accommodation not one had a room available for them. after arriving at the hotel in the early hours of the morning we received a room at 7.00a.m that morning, the other family we were travelling with were given a room with used and unmade beds with wet towels on as their accommodation. they actually got to bed at 8.00a.m. but we were informed that after breakfast our true accommodation would be allocated, do not bother paying extras for sea view, or family rooms as you will not receive them regardless. another good tip in our opinion would be to join your local rugby team for a season or two to prepare you to tackle the restaurant or bar, as you will need the experience to help you through the experience of the rude, obnoxious, russians that you will encounter. if booking the chinese restaurant please pay when booking our bill increased by 40euro within 3 days (even though it was a set price) according to the reception staff it is the affect of the flutation of the currency. the staff except the reception staff where pleasant but extremely busy, please do not say thank you or any cordial greetings because the shock will almost kill them after being bombarded by 1,500 russians demanding their important needs. the entertainment is quite the norm as any other hotel we all enjoyed the fire show the best, except this was performed within the dining room, when the external cooking area caught fire and the staff ran off but luckily after several guests tryed to douse it with a mixture of cola and water (on burning fat) another guest actually located a fire extinguisher on the second floor, the waiters and other members of staff later returned to congratulate the hero........................faulty towers has nothing please try this one"

"I stayed at the Lares Park in Antalya with my wife & 15 year old daughter during August 2007. The hotel itself was very clean & well maintained, although the rooms were in need of some freshening up as they are starting to look a little tatty. We found most of the staff friendly & willing to help (unlike other reports on this website), although the staff in the restaurant were rushed off of their feet most of the time & it often took a long time to get your table set & drinks ordered. The entertainment of an evening was good when they had a professional act on, but very poor when it was performed by the hotel animation team. You also had to suffer the children's mini disco for half an hour if you wanted to get a seat for the main show. We found the food very good & looked forward to the variety that was offered each evening. There was so much choice that you could always find something to tempt you back for seconds. The pool area was huge but the only problem was that other than the children's pool, the depth was constant at 1.4 meters, which is a problem if you can't swim & don't like deep water (like my wife). We had to stay around the kid's pool all the time so that she was able to go in the water whenever she wanted. The only real problem with the hotel is that the English are vastly outnumbered by the rude & arrogant Russians who think nothing of pushing in front of you at the bar or restaurant. On the first few occasions you put up with it, but after a while it starts to irritate you & you start to be as rude to them as they are to you. Not what you want on holiday. The area around the hotel is dead & not worth going out for a walk as there is nothing to do except look at the front of other hotels. This is because it is a purpose built resort & is far from being finished, there is building work going on everywhere (although noise is not a problem). Overall we enjoyed the holiday very much but due to the fact that there was nothing else to do around the resort, and the arrogant & rude Russians (all over Turkey in our experience, not just here) we won't be going back. However if you want a relaxing holiday by the pool, can swim & keep yourself to yourself (as there won't be anybody to talk to you in English), then this is the place."

A very nice hotel
"I went here at the end of august and probably the only thing I have to complain about was the heat. The sun was burning at 10 AM. Getting back to the hotel, I have to say that I had my best holiday experience yet. You can stay by the big pool, you can go swim in the sea (the water is 30 Celsius, very clean and the beach is only for the hotel customers), you can play sports (tennis, football, volleyball etc) and you can eat like crazy. They have very good food and you can eat like six times a day. This is a holiday for those who just want to relax and have it easy. Everything is at your disposal and the people there do whatever they can to make you happy. They are very nice and still very proud. They don't kiss your behind if that is what you expect. They used to be an Empire! In stead you can talk and make jokes. The AI system allows you to forget about the money. In this hotel you have food and drinks at your disposal. There are some thing you will have to pay for but these are extra and you can do without. For instance: imported beer, imported coniac and whiskey and imported champagne. You can still drink: Martini, Gin, local Whiskey (not that great but it will do), cocktails, about 15 sorts of juices and pretty good Efes beer. There are 4 restaurants and if I remember correctly 7 or 8 bars. There is no limit to how much you drink except your own. But still this is not a place for crazy drinkers or usually drunk people. Actually I would recommend it to people with family. There were a ton of kids over there who don't usually bother you thanks to the especially designed activity's and places for them. There is a night life, with shows, live music and disco, but to be honest I never went to sleep later then 10:30 so I can't tell you much (I know that is lame but I was tired from all that relaxing :-) ) In the end I would like to tell you about what the hotel arranged one day. The name, Lares Park, comes from the fact that the hotel has a big park with lots of trees and shadow and places were you can just sit back and relax. So, they arranged a barbecue in this park. They brought, drinks, food, wood tables and chairs and for things to be perfect a live band singing slow music. For an hour it was heaven. Everything was perfect. It wasn't even crowded. The hotel is big enough for everybody."
