"Having stayed in sunset apartments for the past 5 years. These are looking very tired now . A link of paint and some bleach would not go a miss. We stayed in July 2016 . On arrival we asked for a fan as well as Airton no fans available all broken. There was only enough cup plates cutlery and chairs for 3 people we were a family of 5 we only had enough bedding for 4 people there were many empty apartments. Soon filled up with Turkish people. 6 people to apartment they were 11 and 12 Turkish to each apartment. Our last week we were the only British there 3 manager is as many years. There was really loud Turkish music played from morning till night that loud they blow the speakers. This use to be a Thomson all English apartments but now jet 2 have taken over and they only have a few apartments there so they let out to Turkish. I love Turkish people and there country that's why we go every year but I was not good at all this year a really big let down"

"Our first visit to this resort was an excellent experience! The hotel lobby was large and airy with plenty of places to sit and relax. Our apartment was basic but clean, and with sea view, although at a distance. The pool was by far the best feature of the whole stay. The barman, Iillios, was always there with a smile and a joke, and we made a good friend of him. He even came out with us on his night off to show us around the bars... lovely chap..! We went to this resort for a total chill out holiday, and we were not at all disappointed. Best restaurant was 'The Sagittarius' Donna and Manos are lovely people, we had breakfast there most mornings, and ate there a couple of times at night. Seriously think we will be back in the not too distant future. ! BEV and Jackie."

such friendly staff
"we stayed at sunset in july, the staff were so friendly and incredibly hard working, the bbq was so funny especially Galip's dance routine. The turkish lads really know how to move! ! Mustafa was great getting the pool ready by 8 every morning so i could have my early morning swim. The pool is not large but adequate and lovely and clean. The rooms are spacious and kept clean by the extemely hard working ladies. It is in a fairly quiet area but only a short dolmus ride from the main resort. The local third beach is ok but got very busy. It became very hot while we were there, 48C in the shade so needed the air condtioning which is only in one room but it made a difference so did the dousing with the hosepipe from Mustafa. We all had a brilliant time, the lads will do anything to help, even get up fron much needed sleep. Our kids rated it the best holiday they have had. Our thanks to Mustafa, Can, Murat, Galip, Bekir, Bob and Mahir"

"Stayed at the Sunset Village in late June. Had an absolutely fantastic time. The staff, Can, Murat, Mustafa, Kerem and Galip were brilliant. The owner, Deniz was great too, nothing was too much trouble for any of them, and they made us feel at home straight away. The apartments are large and clean (the cleaners work so hard), and the grounds are kept spotless. The Thursday night BBQ is a must, with all the staff taking part in the entertainment - even the Chef (Galip) and his wooden spoons!! We had the best time, and are looking forward to going back as soon as possible. The location on 3rd beach is perfect, near enough to the resort centre, but far enough away to be quiet and secluded. If you are looking for a relaxed, family holiday this is most definitely the place to go."

Most Relaxing Holiday Ever!
"Loved the Sunset Village. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The bar and pool area were always clean. A good family environment. Great two bedroom appartment. Go to the 'old Town' for better cheaper food than the resort town. Handy for the Dolmus, although it is a nice walk into the resort...about 15 minutes. The third beach is about 4 minutes walk. Would recommend an excursion with First Choice to one of the historic sites. The guide Mahmut "as you know, by the way" is the best story teller in Altinkum. So good, we're going back again this year!"

had a lovely time.....
"Stayed at Sunset Village in July 2006. We had a lovely holiday, 2 adults, 3 kids. The staff were excellent, very helpful and great with the kids. The pool area was cleaned regularly and although not the largest of pools there was always plenty of room in and around the pool area. 'The weekly BBQ night is a must'. The kids really enjoyed the free pool table in the bar area. The rooms were basic but clean and large enough for a family of 5. The location of Sunset is excellent. Out of the way for peace and quiet, but close enough to access all the amenities close by. It is only a five minute walk to the beach and restaurants. The local dolmus service is frequent and cheap! If I was to go back to Altinkum I would most definetly stay at Sunset again."

"Had a great time at Sunset Apartments Sebo, Emre, Res, and Michael were brilliant with the kids and the all round service was fantastic. They could not do enough for you. The rooms were cleaned daily and the maids on the odd occasion left the beds done up with flowers and towel displays. The pool and bar area were always clean. Although out from the main resort there was easy access to the resort. Had our meals at the Marina restaurant (British owned Bob and Jacky, main waiter Jordan) three minute walk from the apartments. The Third beach is also ony a couple of minutes from the apartments. A small shop behind the large Hotel on the left facing towards the sea. Beats having to travel to the main supermarket."

"We booked the apartments through the internet, www.sunset-apartments.co.uk I have to say that this was the best holiday we have ever had. The accommodation was fantastic, spotlessly clean. The kids were never out of the pool, and the beach was only minutes walk from our accommodation. Everyone we met were friendly. We ate at the Istanbul and Pinachios restaurants, the staff couldn't do enough for us. They even offered to drive us back to the apartments at the end of the evening, (could you imagine that happening in a restaurant in England!). I would definitely recommend using sunset-apartments again to anyone thinking of having a holiday in Turkey."

Sunset is the best!
"I went to Sunset Village Apartments late June/early July last year. I can safely see this is the best accomodation in Altinkum. We stayed in Esra the year before, which was nice, but Sunset was a different class. It is only a small place, but this adds to it's appeal. There's plenty of room around the pool for kids and adults alike. The ppl there are the nicest u'll ever meet. Emre, Res, Sebo and Michael are the main workers, but the maids are also very nice. I am still in touch with Emre and we are going back in August this year."

"We, myself, my partner and our 3 children went on holiday to Altinkum (Turkey) in July this year. It was FANTASTIC! We all had a GREAT TIME. The sea was a clear blue-green perfectly calm and our children delighted in being able to watch the fish swimming, while we relaxed and played with them. The food was lovely, from the loaves of fresh bread we bought in the morning from the local store near our apartment, to the beautiful meals we ate at the local restaurants in the evenings. Our favourite was The Istanbul which we returned to frequently throughout our holiday. Whether it was to have a drink or a meal the staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us, making us feel comfortable and relaxed. Even at times when they were extremely busy they always made the time to make a fuss of our children and make sure everything was ok. THE PEOPLE, THE FOOD, THE CLIMATE, BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES, CLEAN/SAFE BEACHES AND SEA made it a lovely holiday. We would recommend it to anyone- the only slightly un-nerving thing was probably riding in the taxis, but it all added to the experience, so much so, that the worst part was having to come home! "
