the worst vacation of my life
"Florin, from Bucharest, 43 years old, family man with 2 children, 2 and respectively 6 years old Very shortly, I have been there between July 27th â August 8th, 2014 and I lived the worst experience in my life in the field of touristic services. The hotel cannot be cataloged with maximum 3 stars as regard of the rooms (the old building), the food no more than 1-2 stars, the resort personnel 1 star, the services generally 2 stars maximum. Some examples: I waited 2 hrs. after the official time for check-in in order to get the room, they gave us room in the old building and not in the new one as I had reservation since January 2014, the food is horrible, we had to wake up at 6.00 hrs. in order to find a chair at the beach and even earlier for a chair at the main pool, it was asked to us to leave from the beach at 19.15 claiming that the beach was closed, everything is organized in such a way that the tourists can consume as less as possible, a mockery towards tourists. It happened to me there things that simply shocked me. Thatâs why; I sacrificed some of my time to write a 10 pages review about all this stuff in order to help other not to have the same experiences. I selected about 50 pictures that support my affirmations of the long review. As I am not sure that this site accepts so many pictures I downloaded them on Google drive for those who want to be informed in detail. I notice that google drive arranged everything different than I saved there and the 10 pages review is at the end after all pictures. For the interested people please see the link https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BwX3PLxFD41kSUlLUzFuSGhFMWc&usp=sharing I wish you only great vacations! PS. Last days, I found a press article from UK about a British tourist who used the water slide from Didim Beach Resort and, because the pool is too short, he hit the wall and his leg was broken in 6 places. It is unbelievable what suffer had this man to go through. The images of the wound of this tourist published in this article might affect emotionally the viewers. Best animation team by far.
"One week wasn't enough for us.The animation team were fantastic, never stopping their antics. The 24 hour all inclusive really was 24 hr. The outside bar was usually served by Cafar [Jaffa] who has to be the most pleasant, happy and efficient member of staff at the hotel. The maids decorated the beds with towels in the shape of swans.Sunbeds were never a problem as the hotel was far from full due to it getting close to the end of the season.Weather was fantastic and the transfer to and from the hotel was acceptable. Now for the complaints, the food choice for someone as picky as me was great but PLEASE learn to keep it hot,too much was allowed to go cold, including meat dishes, soups and chips. JET2 rep was very poor."

"this was a lovely clean hotel, room was big enough for the three adults in our party, the food was ok but if you dont like chicken youve had it didnt no you could make as many dishes out of it . Could do with trying to sort out evening entertainment everyone we spoke to was complaining about the lack of it. On the whole it was a canny holiday"

great fun for kids
"hotel looks great but at closer inspection is in need of a revamp in some of the rooms tired is a good word for it.wall paper coming off showers with a bit of mold but all in all the room we was in was very big .2 seperate rooms 2 single beds achair that made into another bed then a double in the othet room. large bathroom tv ann kettle with coffee and tea.fridge and 2 air conditioners.public areas are good .there is a bar that never closes and serves beer ect and coffee ect all the time.food is ok but ive had alot better could be improved .the water slides are great and will keep the kids and the big kids entertained open 2 hours in morning and 2 hours after lunch.main pool is a nice size .2 kids pools 1 with little slides. just out side the hotel the is a fun fair great fun and very good value.so alll in all we had a great holiday and would go again .so dont be put off by this review .try for yourself you will have a great time."

brill holiday, to much hussel and bussel and free for all in dining room. glitz and gold of hotel does not match hotel services.
"stayed 4 june 2012 till 15 june 2012, stayed in elegance hotel, glitz and gold does not match the free for all experience in dining room from morning till evening, could go into eat at anytime no clear tables and most of the time all food counters empty, if you went in at twenty to nine for evening meal and started with soup you had no chance for main or dessert, it would have all been cleared by the time you had eaten your soup. Felt sorry for the staff, could not cope with all the people in both hotels and has for bar staff slamming glasses on the bar when they served you your drinks, it got quite annoying after a while, especially when you say please and thank you. Some of the cleaners could do with a personal hygiene lesson. Would recommend the turkish bath and massage. Location was near all facilities.Besides the hussle and bussle in dining room we enjoyed our holiday and i dont normally complain and i am not fussy. The large green cushions around the elegance pool are fantastic to lay on, because if you werent up before 7am you had no chance of getting a sunbed, despite a notice around all pools saying no towels on sunbeds before 8am. Has for the adult pool only, it was full of children, which is not a problem for me but i know some adults didnt like."

"Went to Didim for the first time in Aug 2011, loved it so much returned again in Oct 2011. The animation team are brilliant and provide great day time activities and great shows in the evening, food isn't amazing but it's acceptable, salads were lovely and fresh bread everyday. The staff are very friendly and hotel was always very clean. Had no complaints and am planning to return again in may 2012. If you venture into the town Romeos bar is a must! Amazing people running it, so friendly and welcoming."

Take note of bad food rating.
"Went August 2010.2 adults 2 teenagers. Dodgy bellies after 2-3 days, Restaurant way too hot as hardly any air conditioning, food not covered properly and went cold. Cold food went warm, The smell made us feel sick, ended up in burger king twice and a local kebab stall twice at the end of a 2 week stay. A child had diarrhea at the pool side and the staff did nothing. Too packed, sunbeds hard to get, a steep climb to and from beach. No advertised pedalos. Drinks restricted even though they were soft drinks. Ice cream only for young children for an hour in the afternoon. Not enough for any age group to do. Staff overworked and a bit rude at times even though we were really nice to them. Charged for an alcoholic drink in the room that was definitely not consumed. (will get hotels to remove in future)reception staff very unhelpful. Turkish visitors rude. Evening bar room very hot and smelly. Music around the pool blaring out all day (so unnecessary and really annoying) Slides only open for a total of 4 hours in the day if your lucky. However, market fun, local shop keepers pushy but nice. sea lovely, take or buy a snorkel. Rooms lovely and you can have air conditioning but goes off when you are out so will be hot on return. Maids were good but annoyed at charge for drink. Will never go again and it has put me off Turkey for good. But not tour operators fault."

"thought hotel was nice place but rooms were quite small. Thought there could of had a better choice of food same things every day could do alot better in that department, and there is a problem to get a lounger anywere unless your willing to get up at 6:00 am every morn when your there to relax. entertainment at nite could do better nothing much to keep young kids amused which i thought was quite lame."

" We went last year for 2 weeks and had a good time, we returned this year even though the food wasn't too good last year because food isn't wot makes a good holiday really. The day we arrived an english lady, who has been employed by the hotel to see why the reviews of guests about the food were so bad, asked us about the food and explained she was there to advise the chefs on some english cuisine, seems like they have taken on board her advice because we found the food to be a 100% better plus now its an ultra inclusive so food and drink are on offer for almost 24 hours a day. My partner is the fussiest person i have ever met and we ate out most days last year but didn't this year. The pool has also improved its a lot shallower couldn't stand in it last year plus the slide pool has gone from 3 slides to 8 and a smaller slide pool for the little ones. The maids kept our room immaculate and were very friendly, rooms done every day and free fresh bottles of water for the mini bar. We only had one complaint and that was the pool was freezing but doesn't seem to bother the kids. We are booking to go back next year, and we are fussy!"

It was ok but bad food
"Didim Beach Resort was a good hotel in general but the quality of food was bad. If you want a family holiday it gets a bit boring after a while so i would advise you to book trips outside the hotel."
