COOEE Alaiye Resort & Spa Hotel
20 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"Just returned from a 12 day stay with my partner and grand daughter aged 4,the hotel is spotless staff are always cleaning, the swimming pools are great and so are the slides we couldnt get our grand daughter of them, the food was great but catered more for Germans, the entertainment was the best we have ever seen, ever night there was something that would keep you entertained. now for the bad points we went with thomas cook and would never use this company again, the rep was only there for one thing and that was for your money, dont go on any excurisions via the rep walk across the road to the shopping centre and they are a lot cheaper, you never see the rep unless shes selling you a trip so beware, but would recomend this hoilday to anyone the staff are wonderful and the hotel is wonderful ."

perfect for the family
"The first thing I have to say about the Alaiye is that it is spotlessly clean; there are cleaners constantly working through the day and night and they keep the hotel immaculate, the same can be said for the waiters in the restaurants, they are constantly clearing dirty plates etc and never let anything get particularly dirty.
We travelled with 2 young children (8 and 4) and we all had a fantastic time, there was plenty to do for us all both in the day and the shows at night. Most days we left the main hotel complex and wondered over to the Park Alaiye (under the underpass) this was like a self conatined area with entertainment (darts, archery, tennis etc) and a snack bar; it was great there for the children as they could swim and use the slides safe in the comfort that we could see them as the sunbeds are round the edge of the pool - these sunbeds never got busy, you could just turn up at lunchtime an almost be guranteed a bed!
The food in the restaurants was very good, I would certainly recommend the chinese and the poolside BBQ. A few people in previous reviews have mentioned that the the hotel is full of Russians and Germans, it's not quite the case but there are a few there; we in fact found it to be quite nice as it meant the hotel wasn't full of the British 'Coronation street, eggs and bacon crowd' the British people that were there all seemed very nice.
The only comment that I do have is that the hotel is now getting more of a british contingent holidaying there but they haven't got enough english speaking staff, yes the entertainment team are all fluent but trying to converse with reception or security or some bar staff is a bit difficult.
All in all we had a great time and would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing time round the pools and hotel (we didn't venture too far so I can't comment on the surrounding areas). Finally I must big up Ceto, the entertaimnets guy from Park Alaiye, he certainly made the games fun and entertaining"

the perfect holiday!!!
"We have just come back from a week in alaiye resort and spa hotel. we loved it. We have a boy 12 yrs old and a girl 10 yrs old. chalk and cheese! yet this holiday was great for them. At the teenage club my son played in tournaments and competitions and played table tennis, air hockey, snooker, tennis, archery, darts, water polo, volleybal .... the list goes on. We hardly saw him, everyday i asked 'did you have a good day today?' and his reply was 'Brilliant' which from a stropy' grumpy teenager was a miracle! My daughter loved it too on the water slides, dance classes, and the teenage club. I even enjoyed the water aerobics everyday and i am the most unfit person in the world. My husband took part in everything too, espescially the pool party everyday. The hotel is very clean and secure. staff are so lovely and friendly.. The 3 extra restaurants, mediteranian, chinese and otoman are definately 5* and the quality of food superb. The buffet every night had over 30 dishes to choose from and the bbq every night was great too. We felt we got value for money with our all inclusive. The beach was quite small but the water sports were half the price of spain. there was always sunbeds available at pool and beach. We noticed lots of different nationalities which sometimes i have read was a negative thing but we didn't find this at all and we found it refreshing. Not a problem at all. We had a family room which i don't think are as nice as the double room but all said we were very pleased with this choice. We don't normally go back to same place but are seriously thinking about it as it ticks all the boxes for our family needs."

An amazing holiday
"We have just returned from this hotel, and we really enjoyed our time their. The hotel was spotless, the food was great our room was fantastic the staff are brilliant what more can you ask for. The one down fall was the entertainment at nigh because their was little going on if you choose not to go in the ampitheatre. The entertainment is good in the day though with theings such as table-tennis, dancing and volleyball all going on everyday. The staff are very friendly and work really hard and thir is an excellent waiter service we would like to mention Cuma who works as a waiter in the restaurant and Sirin who is a waiter in the lobby bar they were great. We would reccomend this hotel to anybody and would maybe return to this hotel."

The nicest hotel i have ever stayed in!!
"having read the reviews i was amazed with the hotel. I have actually returned to UK early due to illness and left my husband and kids behind to finish off the holiday. One thing i will say is that the comments on the food being the same every night and raw is a load of rubbish, there was a different theme on every night with the themes local food. It was very nice, a bit busy yes but it is quite a large hotel, i didnt get to try the a al carte restuarants as i was ill (due to not being able to cope with humidity and heat) but will finish this review on my families return, i will book this holiday again but will chose sept oct when its a bit cooler for me. if your going to this hotel all i can suggest is that you dont intend touse a low sun factor and i can almost guarantee you will be impressed.
lots to do if your willng to join in the fun!"

Fabulous Holiday, well recommended!
"What a lovely hotel, we were sceptical about the place after reading some of the reviews but we were pleasantly suprised. The Staff are very friendly, the place is immaculate, the animation team are worth their weight in gold, the service is great, we didn't have to fight for anything (sunbeds & food). What I will say is, don't get to excited about the Chinese restaurant, it ain't that great! My 10 & 7 year olds had a ball, the animation team were brilliant with them, they were always around having a good time and making sure that we did to. The slides are brilliant, we had great fun! Yes there are a lot of German & Russians but that didn't bother us in the slightest. What we did find rather strange is that we took Turkish Lira, in all the shops they looked at you as if you had just landed from Mars when asking, 'how much' in Lira, it confused them! They want Dollars or Euro's so please be aware of this. Also at first when you look at the prices in the shops around the hotel things look a little expensive, start by halving everything and work DOWN from there. The hotel shop is probably one of the cheapest and you don't get hasselled. There is a shopping place about 20mins walk from the hotel. We went once! It's ok if you don't mind getting dragged into all the shops. We would definitely go again, it wasn't too busy we arrived 29th May for 1week. Weather was glorious."

"ok where do i start...... its a 5 star hotel i would say its more of a 4 star the rooms and every thing is tip top with cleaners all the time and the entertainment people are top guys thats the only good thing i can say about the hotel !!!...... the food is disgusting with cold food un-cooked meat and the same every 2 nights if staying there for 2 weeks like i did its horriable... IT ISNT A 24 HOUR DRINKING HOTEL YOU HAVE TO PAY 4POUND A DRINK AFTER 1AM THE POOL TABLE IS 2 POUND A GAME MOST OF THE HOLIDAY THEY DIDNT HAVE COKE OR FOSTERS OR FANTA... the lifts kept breaking and the guy up the fancy bar after 11pm is a complete rude person and shouldnt be working there you cant complain to any one as they dont understand you even the manger and he just smiles when you complain about stuff!!! book your trips and rental car just out side the hotel as they charge a bomb .. some friends hired the top pent room out for a night and nothing worked and broke and they missed a night and most of the day trying to get there money back.... i could sit here all day and tell you about this hotel i wouldnt recommed this to NO ONE !! food was 2 out of ten staff were 5 out of 10... Really enjoyed out stay
"I stayed in this hotel with 2 of my friends and had a brill time. We stayed on the SC basis so we didnt really have any of the food but there are plenty of places to eat out in this area. Really good location about a 15 min walk to the main nightlife which is situated near the harbour so we were far enough away to get some sleep.
The pool is pretty small but the beach is literally across the road from this hotel and you can pay a littel fee at the hotel to book a sunbed and parasol for the beach.
If anyone is interested in nightlife i would strongly recommend goin to a club called robin hood, its a little pricy but you are guaranteed to have some fun.
we found that if there were german people staying at this hotel then they would tend to leave theie towells on the sunbeds by the pool over night so that they would have somewhere to sit in the morning so be warned.
We stayed in a 1 bed apt which was quite spacious and we had 2 balconys which was an added bonus!!! i would definately recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Louise and Gavin, Edinburgh
Just back today and having read the reviews before we left I thought they were a bit harsh. However, after excellent first impressions it soon became clear that other than lounge around on the beach or by the pool there really isn't anything to do in this resort. The 'nightlife' of Incekum is more than a toddle up the road, but the regular, if not bumpy bus service to the lovely town of Alanya was a saviour as was local Turkish tour guide Berfin Tours who provided some great days out for half the price of the travel agent we booked with.
The evening entertainment could either be quite amusing or really awful but the Animation Team definitley got 10 out of 10 for enthusiasim.
Hotel food was 'continental' and bland and we recomend the Star Bar around the corner from the hotel for sea bass, chips and salad for under £6 and very yummy!
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and spoke resonable English but seemed to be more fluent in Russian and German. It was never something we thought would bother us at the time but there really is no British people at this resort and we did feel slightly ailenated at times.
On the whole the hotel was beautiful, clean and the Turkish people very warm, but there is no way we could have strecthed this holiday into a fortnight"

Hotel 1st Class
"The hotel was really nice and rooms, lobby etc were of a very high standard. The hotel was spotless. There were plenty of beds around the pool and only a two minute stroll to the beach. The food was of a high quality though was a bit repetitive and geared more to the german taste though there were endless fresh made pizzas, chips and pasta dishes, so even fussy eaters should be ok. The service was generally very good and most of staff were very helpfull. Only disappiontment for us was the location was a little quiet if you wanted to go anywhere, Alanya was a bus ride away. We booked one week before we traveled and were alloc on arrival so all in all we were really pleased with this hotel and would definetley recommend it and return."
