"had a great holiday here in a very quiet neck of the woods. in arkyarlar on the bodrum peninsula, there is not too much outside the hotel but there are plenty of buses to run you into bodrum about an hour away. the food was always good with plenty of choice and also there were three a la carte restaurants. the staff here cannot do enough for you and it is spotlessly clean. one small complaint, the animation crew here were not too good and when i suggested a squash tournament she curtly replied "that is nothing to do with me". i was disappointed with her attitude. "NEC PLUS ULTRA"
"DIFFICULT TO FIND NEGATIVE POINTS. Amazing location, fantastic infrastucture, no "haute cuisine" but believe me more than decent food. One little problem to mention: majority of the personnel does not speak a few words in foreign languages...their kindness anD smile is compensating it. The front office manager ,speeks perfect French and English . He's full of attention for the customers and you feel his presence in permanence. HOPE TO RETURN ASAP"

Fantastic hotel - would definately return
"Arrived at 3am and had a very efficient check in, our bags were taken to the room while we went to the bar for food and drinks! Hotel room was excellent, mini - bar well stocked, comfortable beds and fresh fruit and flowers in the room. The staff were all extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure you had a pleasant stay. We very much liked dining in the different restaurants, again the service was superb. Evening entertainment varied from live music (very good) to Rep shows (not my cup of tea) but the entertainment team worked hard to include anyone that wanted to get involved in the daily activities. The hotel was spotless as were the grounds. There are lots of little touches that made this hotel extra special. The only downside is that you are in the middle of nowhere but you should be aware of this when you book. This wasn't a problem for us as the hotel offers a huge array of activities. The transfer from the airport is quite long and uncomfortable as the roads aren't the best but this was a small price to pay for this excellent hotel."

A little bit of heavan in a desert.
"Having spent 30 years selling in many parts of the World, We found the Kefaluka to be one of the best Hotels we have ever used. If you could give more than ten out of ten, they would certainly rate it. The staff were so very helpful, the selection of foods was incredable. If there was anything to complain about it was the poor quality of Entertainment, and the isolated position of the Hotel. Other than that, the absolute value for money is paramount. The last thing I would mention, which is no fault of the Hotel, is the state of the roads around the Hotel, they are at least ten times worse than any I have ever seen on my travels. Freddy F."

A very good hotel, but not one we would return to.
"This hotel is a 4* but not a 5* The food bland and served warm. Three al a cart restaurants- were ok Beds far too firm Entertaiment-none during our first week and until the final two nights remaining. Then....very good. All areas very clean. Experienced some very unpleasant older women aged around 60+(very odd) behaving as if they were nasty gang members.- Hotel delt with them promptly. Pool area & bar good ( Pool water too cold) but this was expected for time of year. Beach was having sand delivered and was not open with sunbeads or parasols, frequent deliveries of sand during our stay, with lorrys and diggers coming and going. A good many people will love this hotel. But since we enjoy a hotel with good variety of food, comfy beds, good entertainment, and a beach area we can use ect...we probably wouldn't return. A short walk to security is a bus stop for Bodrum and Turgetries- the service for Turgetries was not available unless you walked in to the village, but then during the 2nd week it began dropping off and collecting at the hoterl."

Not for middle age couples wanting peace and quiet.
"Returned from a 7 nights holiday in Kefaluka resort last night, resort was not 5 star as to English standards but I think the activities probably were, It's ideal for families with children ages 2-18 yrs and the young at heart, great pools but a little chilly, free beach towels as often as you like. They have tried to cater for everyone including ramps and a hoist into the indoor pool for disabled guest's which I found impressive. My husband and I went for the diving as listed in the brochure, but the dive boat at Askin diving at the water sports centre had engine failure so our first dive was off a speed boat (not ideal), the next day we were picked up outside the resort and taken in beaten up old dive van and driven to Bodrum, this was quite a journey as all the roads were dug up having had mains water pipes layed. The diving was fun especially visiting the plane wreck off Black Island (30mtrs). Underwater temp was 19c. Didn't get much sleep as the disco which was below us on the ground floor and we were on the 4th floor thumped away till 3am, other than that it was ok. Food fairly ok, didn't find the Italian or Seafood resturants that special (didn't try any others)."

Nice building let down by an awefull service, food and weather.
"The hotel is located on a big hill where runs up to the sea, interior is quite luxiorious with turkish marbles and travertine. except the Lifts can only accomidate 4 guests at a time, so u may endup waiting 15 mins to go to your room (hotel is 10 floors in total) at dinner and breakfast times. Nice plantation around the resort but it lacks shades. The name kefaluka means (wich we learned after we got there) the meeting point of 7 winds which is noticeblly annoying most parts of the evenings. be prepared for strong winds. The food that was served was avarage and many 4 star hotels can be better in quality of the food. only 1 grill per evening and it was often turkey or livers or some fish with no name. most hot foods were pre-cooked therefor either cold or dry or both. Service was poor many staff were trainies you could see many of them chatting rather than helping the guests. Drinks that are served are very cheap choices, only if you specify you will get some known brands, which we discovered last day. the bottles are often hidden so you dont ask for it which I think is very tacky and cheap way of treating guests. Pools are nice with slides for the kids but was out of service last 4 days of our stay which was another let down. Sea is great between 6am 10 am than strong winds takeover. you have to use the deck to enjoy the sea though, the beach has many stones and no sand (its more of gravel/compost) Animation was good if you are kind of person who is up for those kind of pool side games."

heaven on earth
"Simply amazing all inclusive package .Perfect for families with younger and older children.Day and night activities very well organized by the entertainment team. Only few minor issues : they need to work a little bit harder on cleaning the rooms . Turkish Hammam somehow runs out of hot water sometimes."

Clean rooms, incredible food and drop-dead gorgeous views
"We stayed at Kefaluka for a week with a large group of family and friends. We all felt the hotel was excellent, and is surely going to improve over time as the staff gets more experienced and the hotel irons out some wrinkles. Some highlights: 1) The views at Kefaluka are amazing from almost everywhere. The resort overlooks a gorgeous harbour, and the open Aegean sea can also be seen. 2) The food at the buffet was certainly the best we have ever experienced at an all inclusive resort buffet. We are very experienced all inclusive travellers to Dominican Republic and Mexico (Cancun and Maya Riviera) so this is saying a lot. In particular, the vegetables were so very fresh, and the overall selection sufficient for just about anybody.. 3) The rooms were modern and the water pressure was excellent. 4) The setting at the Kebabi restaurant was special in particular There were very few negatives. However it should be mentioned the elevator system can be very frustrating. The elevators are small, and can take a long time to arrive. Also, the wifi does not function in the rooms, so you need to go to a lobby or patio area to get reception. We found these minor inconveniences, and would happily recommend kefaluka to others."

A total rip off!!!
"What a mistake I had made for my honeymoon. We booked this place because we thought that a new openning will bring top quality(the hotel just opened in June 2009). Let me write down one by one all the bad events we experienced. 1-We arrived at the hotel at 15.30 and our room was not ready, eventually they managed a place at 17.00. I wonder how much we would have waited if we had arrived at a normal check in time? 2-The refrigerator in the room did not work properly and many times I complained to the customer services but noone whatsoever took any appripriate action. We had to drink everything warm. 3-The rooms were O.K. and well decorated but for sure they were not cleaned properly.Shoe or slipper stains were clearly seen on the floors. 4- The elevators within the hotel stink very bad. 5-We were told that the resort had 6 swimming pools. It's true, the resort has 6 swimming pools but they are all separated from each other with some marble work and the maximum depth of the pools is 1.40 metres. In other words, they splitted the pool into 6 different pools and they call it as 6 swimming pools. You can not find a pool with a depth of 1,50 metre. 6- The sea is full of stones in contrast to what they say.We were informed that the sea was full of sand.!!!! 7-The food was again terriblle. Most dishes contained turkey because it is cheap. They also served turkish cuisine kebab and doner but you have to wait at least 10 minutes in a queue in order to pick up a portion . 8-The bar was out of date.all alcoholic drinks were the cheapest ones. One night I went for a glass of wine but found out that a bottle of the wine was USD.2,5 so prefered not to drink it. I do not remember the others but for sure there were a lot more. Frankly, I will advise you not to stay at this hotel. I have made a mistake, I hope you would not. Engin Cebi"

very nice holiday with kids
"it's a very nice resort i booked it becaus it was new and it was very beatiful all in all food is great and vary . pools are very nice especially kids slides they are 5 . sea was beatiful but with lots and stones at first entry i think it would have been better if it was cleaned from theses rocks . it is 15 to 20 minutes by bus from turgutreis town but its far from bodrum center . in the gate they would call you a bus or taxi to go to towns but activities are alot in the hotel . the only one problem was the lack of english speaking staff or if they knew would not understand fully my kid ordered a club sandiwch in the room and was asking if the toast would come in 2 or 4 picese but they brought us 4 orders( did not understood) and it was not in toast it was in huge hard sandwiches which was not eaten and we payed for the 4 ??? also the reception did not explain the hotels resturants in full timing and food served because the papers they distributed were all in turkish .ithey did not have a converter for my labtop charger and they did not tell that there was a computers free int the hotel until one man in the reception said so which was one day before my leave ? so some of the staff at reception are nice others are not because we are not turkish speaking ? fitness enter closes at 8 pm and that was too early we wanted to play sqush after swimming and couldn't because it was closed . the taxi has a fixed price from airport 110 lira for one way which was one hour . (far) over all we had a nice time . yes and the doctors there charged us alot 80 euros for check up only without tret it was alot and there was no list price so i don't know this was the real check up price or because we were not turks ?"
