"The Silberhorn contributed to one of our best ever skiing experiences. The location is superb, in the centre of the village and within 200 metres of both the mountain railway station and cable car station. Snow conditions meant we could ski right back to the hotel every day yet the skies were a cloudless blue. The food was excellent at all times and we took breakfast at the picture window with breathtaking views across the valley to Murren and the Schilthorn. Service was first rate and seemed to be run with fierce efficiency by the lady boss (I don't know what the femenine of maitre d' is). Nevertheless our Aussie waitress was very friendly and gave us useful information about the resort. Our top floor corner room was also first rate; spacious, with balcony views of the mountains on one side and the village square on the other which meant that we had grandstand views of the Lauberhorn ski race (January) presentations in the square. We even had the Austrian ski team in the hotel who were very friendly so we got the likes of "The Hermanator", Micky Walchhofer etc. to sign our piste map. Brilliant!"

"Hotel rating is worth 9. Ski Miquel rating is no better than 1. A) The package was stated as being inclusive of 5 days Ski Guiding. This was the main reason for booking this package and the guiding fell far short of our expectations. B) The guides stopped for a morning coffee break and then finished completely at lunch time (around 1.30pm). Since most of us were experinced skiers we all usually wished to continue skiing until around 4.30pm. This then is a full days skiing. C) Also the guides did not know their way around the slopes and were forever stopping to check the piste map.. D) Also the guides were forever changing their minds and hence the groups failed to meet for lunch on 3 days out of 5. E) The brochure states that the hotel facilities include a sauna and a plunge bath. These facilities have NOT been available at the hotel for over 2 years. F) Ski Miquel do NOT respond to letters of complaint"
