"This hotel has many good points. First, it's very well situated for central area especially the old town. It's only a couple of minutes walk from the main town square and lots of shops and cafes. We found many places nearby for a late beer and tapas when we arrived at about midnight. It's also easy to get from the airport and the cab is only EUR 15. If you want to be right next to the beach, however, suggest you stay near the port area rather than at Hotel Vincci Lys as it's about a 20 min cab ride to the beach. Make sure you have lunch there along the promenade! The rooms are a bit small though adequate and the mattress was comfy. Perhaps better to have larger rooms and duvets instead of a bit of a grim looking bed cover. The bathroom was fine, though, and the room was quiet as it overlooked the back of the hotel. Make sure you book online and in advance as we got a very good deal for about EUR 95/night. There is no pool or anything but if you are looking for a clean, comfy, central hotel in Valencia, this is great."

"Excellent location in the Old Town of Valencia meaning that all the main attractions are in walking distances, as well as a good range of restaurants and bars. Also close to train and bus networks for longer journeys). The hotel is very elegantly furnished and the rooms are a good size (although they could do with some coat hooks!) and clean. I always found the staff to be polite and helpful with a reasonable amount of English (which is uncommon in the city). The hotel has a spa/health suite that usually has offers (check with your tour operator or the reception). The hotel also features a small bar in the lobby and a restaurant which I heard good things about (but didn't try personally). There are some competitive off-peak offers to be found on the web. "

"Stayed at the Vincci Lys hotel for 4 nights - spacious, modern bedrooms, fab power shower, great central location. Perfect for a mini break in Valencia."

"Just back from Valencia and four nights at this hotel. The Vincci Lys is very centrally located, being only two minutes from Xativa metro station, two minutes from the main square and two minutes from the main shopping area of Calle Colon. The room we stayed in was of an excellent size and was spotlessly clean. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the centre of Valencia."

"Fantastic location, quiet but very central. Rooms spacious and clean. Great tapas bar around the corner, frequented by locals. Really enjoyed our stay- wish the same could be said for our hotel in Barcelona!"

Great location, good hotel and some restaurant tips....
"Vincci Lys is in a great location which is both quiet and central. The rooms are nice, modern and comfortable, the staff helpful but one black mark is ironing - you can't borrow an iron/ironing board, instead there is an ironing service that is unfortunately very poor. Of 4 items we had ironed two were very poor, one shirt still creased after being re-ironed - iron before you go! The rest of the stay was great. If you want to eat out near the hotel I would recommend El Timonel on Félix Pizcueta. For more upscale dining Torrijos on Calle Dr. Sumsi 4 was also good if you like classy, minimalist cuisine and donât mind small portions. The restaurant find of the holiday was La Pampa an Argentinean restaurant which can be found on a road one block back at the harbour end of the beach, just south of Les Arenes Metro (Blue Line) - Eugenia Viñes, 111. They speak little English but charmingly have pictures and an English language menu â itâs cheap, full of locals which is always a good sign, simple food done well, they specialise in meat and steaks"

Absolutely great Vincci Lys
"We booked to go to Valencia because of very cheap flights and didn't really know much about it. What a fanatastic city! The hotel was fabulous, rated as a 4 star and it was. Smack bang in the centre of town, about 15-20 mins drive from the airport which was around £8 in a taxi, and right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants, of which there are legion. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, and despite reading beforehand that because it's not known for it's tourism the Spanish there are rude nad make no effort with you, they do and are far nicer in some repsects than Spanish in tourist resorts. The room was lovely, very spacious and clean as was the bathroom, which looked newly fitted out in marble effect. The only thing was they didn't have tea & coffee making facilities in the room which was a pain. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again if we went back, it was fantastic value for money, you'd pay double in other cities. Valencia is also fanatastic and well worth a visit."

"My sister and I stayed in the Vincci Lys March 20-22 and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff (especially Paula) were extremely helpful and gave us great recommendations on where to go to dinner. The hotel was very centrally located to the beautiful train station. When I go back to Valencia, there is no where else I would even consider staying. FYI: For great Pallela go to a restaurant called La Fonda."

"I chose this on the strength of its reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. Cannot fault the service, rooms, location or price (I booked through a Spanish web-site and found their prices were far more competitive...). Really top hotel."

friendly, central hotel
"Just spent a long weekend at the Vincci Lys (Feb 2005). Friendly staff (especially bar and restaurant - gorgeous food, but avoid the curry flavoured almonds at the bar!!). Very clean hotel, neutral, fresh attractive decor. Really nice bathroom with powerful shower! Situated on a side street, lined with orange trees (real oranges in February!!), very convenient for shops, the many sites and not too far from the park. Good value for money in an unforgettable city. A walk through the park (a former river bed!) down to the museum is recommended. The modern architecture is beautifully space-age (although there is still building work going on in places) and the easily walkable city centre is dotted with stunning old buildings, churches, squares. So many surprises hidden away. The covered market is also fantastic! Looking forward to a return visit..."

Beautiful hotel - wonderful rooms! great location
"We stayed here in December 2004 and the hotel was one of the best I've stayed in in Spain. Great location - good for shopping and the old city is not far away. Only advice would be to not eat at the restaurant across the road as they are quite pricey and food only average."
