Great customer service
"Wonderful Hotel. Customer service was excellent. The day we left, our train didnt leave till early evening and they let us stay in the room with out charge. Very helpful with any questions and helping us rent a car. They delivered the car to the hotel and picked it up. Hotel does have a garage that they let us use at no extra charge. The room was quite large as was the bathroom and very quiet. The area around the hotel was clean, safe and fun to explore. I would go back to Sevilla and stay in this hotel again."

Could n`t have chosen better!
"Ideal location and wonderful to use the pool at sister hotel across the road. Whole hotel was absolutely spotless and the rooms nice and big with lovely modern bathrooms. breakfast a bit of a disaster, just badly organised but there`s a friendly little cafe next door, bacon eggs whatever and half the price, all in all excellent and highly recommended."

Very nice hotel in the quaint older section of historic Seville
"This hotel is very nicely located in the heart of Seville. From it you can easily walk to several very nice resturants as well as some of historic buildings. The hotel was clean, quiet, safe and the staff was very kind. The beds were merely sufficient and could be improved but we did not find them to be a problem. I would stay at this hotel again."

Bounced us to their lesser hotel. Would not recommend.
"We spent hours trawling websites to find a nice hotel in Seville. Based on the reviews here we chose the Hotel Rey Alfonso X. We got as far as the lobby (which was nice!) but they then told us they would have to move us to their sister hotel across the street (I think it's Hotel Rey Alfonso 3). This was classed a 4 star but was really only about a 2 star. Not very nice really. It's pretty disappointing to spend so much time finding a hotel only to be downgraded like this. While they gave us a discount, that's not really the point. We eventually moved ourselves to a nicer hotel that a friend recommended. All in all, this was a pretty cheeky thing to do so I would not recommend this hotel. Check other comments to see if anyone had a similar experience."

Great location and facilities - skip the breakfast
"A very modern, clean hotel with expensively decorated rooms in a great location near to the Cathedral and most of the sights you would want to visit in Seville. The staff were on the whole helpful ..... a bit brusque at times but there were not many of them so they seemed overstretched at peak periods. The breakfast was absolutely to be avoided. The service was very, very slow and it was expensive (EUR 13 pp). They had run out of hot food, croissants and several other items. They seemed unconcerned that we had to wait over 30 min to even receive a coffee. Far better to go across the road to either of the two bistro/cafes where the service was attentive and the cost was great (EUR 7 pp). Would go back to the hotel."

"Recently stayed two nights at the Hotel Rey Alfonso X with my husband. We were very happy with the room as it was very clean and well taken care of. The location of the hotel was within easy walking distance of the major tourist sites and a ton of restaurants and bars. A note of caution to those that are light sleepers or need a completely quiet room, this is probably not the best place for you. While the rooms were very nice, we found them to be fairly poorly insulated from a sound standpoint. The noise didn't bother us as we are both heavy sleepers, but it was one of the noisier hotels we have stayed at recently. All in all we enjoyed are stay, felt the hotel was a good value, and would recommend it to anyone who isn't a light sleeper."

Nice hotel, great location
"The good: fantastic location. There are some great cafes just across from the hotel. Amazing paella. Los Gallos Flamenco Bar is a short walk from the hotel. The room we stayed in overlooked the square and cafes. The room was quite large with a decent sized bathroom. It had 2 small balconies, but we weren't there to use them. There is a pool, although it wasn't open for business when we were there. It was hot (36 degrees), so the pool would have come in handy. There is car parking right next door - it costs 16 euro per day though. The bad: very pricey (133 euro) and breakfast was not included. A little noisy at night but the curtains shut out the light. The staff at reception had a poor command of English."

"This hotel is in a great location and the staff were helpful without being especially friendly. The rooms are good, large for the centre of Seville and cool - the main problem is not noise from the outside as you might expect, as it overlooks a square with several bars/restaurants. Close the window and this noise disappears. However, whoever put in the excellent soundproof double glazing did not also make sure that noise within the hotel was similarly muted. The TV in the adjoining room and their bathroom provided intrusive noise at times and in a hotel of this quality you'd expect it to be quieter. Breakfast was distinctly mediocre and much better value bought in one of the local bars/cafes. However, rooms are hard to come by in semana santa and the hotel provided a great view of the San Bernardo procession without stepping outside."

Nice hotel, shame about the noise
"We stayed at this hotel last week. There were a lot of positive aspects. The hotel is modern and clean and I do not agree with other reviews that it basic. It is a very pleasant place to relax with good air conditioning which was needed as the temperature was high. The staff is helpful and friendly and the location excellent. The beds are very firm which suits us. Unfortunately there was one major drawback - the buildings next door and across the street are being renovated. The banging noises started before 8am and lasted until 6pm. We mentioned this to a staff member who expressed surprise because "there is no work going on in the hotel". She must have been aware of the problem. However she did offer us an alternative room but it was on the street and we were concerned that it would also be noisy so did not move. We had particularly requested a quiet room. Later in the week the constant banging noises were driving us mad so we complained again and this time we were offered another quiet room which we took. At all points the staff was polite."

fine, but not a destination
"Great location, but the lobby and room were so minimalist to the point of lacking character. It was comfortable and clean, and the air-conditioning was very effective -- which shouldn't be discounted in the summer! And location is king, so I would recommend it to those seeking reliable accommodation in the old quarter. Although, frankly, the tourist area is small enough that nothing is really more than a twenty-minute walk away. But we were expecting something a bit more glamorous or interesting -- so if that is your expectation, you may be disappointed. There's no turndown service at night, and the reception space is merely a few chairs and tables. Our room overlooked the square (with "balconies" that don't have enough room to stand on), but the noise that bothered us was from neighboring rooms rather than the outside -- furniture moving and toilets flushing could be heard with much too much clarity. All of that said, the staff was polite and helpful, and the bathroom and closet space more than sufficient."
