Thank you molinos
"Just recovering from shock of low cost holidays collapse.myself my partner and our son were told 16.7.16 around 11ish on the 7th day of our 14day holiday that our holiday had not been payed for and we needed to see the manager.I'm panicking badly and thinking we,l be on the street with a massive bill.i can't put the feelings into words but I hope to never experience this again.we are now aware there are many in the hotel in the same situation.on meeting the manager we are shown what our holiday cost for our 14 night inclusive stay.we are distraught as we know we paid in February.the manager goes on to tell us we will not be charged but if we remained we would be room only . With no room services and special rates for meals.the manager then offers to allow room services every 3 days.I'm so touched and emotional at his kindness I refuse to take room cleaning .it works out the hotel is not paid for months after our stay.then we as a family chat and conclude we want to go home.James my partner makes the arrangements with the last of our cash.we inform the manager personally and thank him for being so kind and understanding.we stayed 2 nights with a roof over our heads and felt leaving 6 days early allowed the Molinos to let the room ,anything else would have left us feeling we abused there generosity.we went on the Monday lunchtime to have a hotel lunch before our flight and were told everything that we ate was free and the hotel would cover it.i spent the whole meal crying at their generosity.i honestly believe the staff and manager went beyond kindness and showed us support and understanding in a time of shock and fear.the Molinos is a clean down to earth hotel that caters fully to family needs.the staff work hard and long days but always smile.we personally were asleep at 10.30pm as we love cap Salou and it's great variety of things to do.on returning home we found our insurance did not cover by ATOL or ABTA.this is crazy as I clearly heard James call ABTA and be told low cost was an ABTA member.we are out of pocket but feel without the Molinos understanding we would have been in financial crisis.to all the staff and the manager I say a big THANK YOU to you all.i would recommend the Molinos for their humanity in a time of need they offered"

not to bad
"we went to this hotel end of September 2012 for a week there was 11 of in 4 rooms, the hotel is nice and was always clean, the rooms are a bit small but easily liveable for a couple of weeks, there was security on site at all times staff always seemed helpful although sometimes bit miserable, the food is not the best breakfast the best meal lots of choice, food is repeated but you dont go hungry, drinks are plastic cups but that is just a saftey issue so nothing gets broken, roof top jaquzzi are lovely and view is stunning i was on the top floor and it wasnt noisey really others were on the third floor which was a bit louder a couple had a fight and she got beaten up the hotel staff were on seen straight away girl got took of in ambulance partner arrested but they did try to keep the noise down for the other guests the best that they could, the cleaners were lovely even though they never spoke english, when we returned home my daughter had come out in bites which after visiting the doctors were bug bites but the rest of us were fine, entertainment not the best but they do try,my daughter is going back to same hotel in june 2013"

I would rather stop at Fawlty Towers!
"This budget hotel is definately one to avoid. Accomodation tiny, noisy, dirty, food awful, entertaiment shocking, atmosphere uncomfortable. After arriving and being "processed" we entered our room then wished we had stayed at home. Four single beds pushed together and a cot left just enough room to squeeze through to the balcony. Having an eighteen month old son I was concerned with the size of the gaps in the corners, and the state of repair to the floor and sides of the balcony. Sadly we had to spend some time there because, of the aroma of sewerage that drifted from the bathroom. We also noticed that there was only enough bedding for two beds so I reported it straight away to reception along with the other problems. Although the bedding arrived that evening nothing could be done with room size as apparently it was the largest room they had and, they seem to think that a spray of air freshener would stop the smell of raw sewerage. We then visited the "canteen" as we were all starving and left the "canteen" starving as the food was absolutely diabolical, and a high chair that was caked in dried on remnants of pig swill put us off slightly! On entering the bar area we felt we should have a good drink and everything would seem better in the morning, sadly this wasn't the case. The entertainment was inaudible due to the quality of the sound system, and the all inclusive local plonk wasn't up to much, so we had an early night, sadly the noise created on the corridors and the rest of the hotel prevented us getting any sleep till about 4 oclock. All the problems were reported the next morning along with the infestation of ants but nothing seemed to change. We had to suffer another night there and then I found another hotel in salou which I ended paying for to get my family somewhere we were comfortable. Conclusion: Avoid it like the plague!"

Don't go here
"Just come back from this hotel. Two weeks of sleeples nights!! Most of the food was inedable, repetative and plain crap. The hotel staff had no control over guests just let them run riot day and night. Every night woken up by drunks early morning. Two nights the Civil Guarde were ruunung round the corridors with theirs guns and batons out rounding up people. The entertainment was a joke, one speaker for the whole room, barstaff obvioisley bored and ignorant. If you want to stay in Salou find another hotel."

this place ----!
"I went to this hotel with my 11 year old son. It was a last minute break booked on the internet. I started to read some of the reviews on it after I had paid and I was more than a little nervous when it came to going. The hotel looks lovely and is very clean apart from the bar area where drinks are spilled regularly. The room was quite small but big enough to sleep in. That I'm afraid are all the good points. We were put next door to a bunch of very drunk, very loud Irishmen. The noise lasted until around 6am when the kitchen staff then started to add their own brand of noise. At one point the Irish men set fire to something and caused so much smoke I had to leave my room for several hours. The entertainment was non existent. I sat through bingo, a quiz on super heroes names and "Mr Motown". This was a man singing bad karaoke and no one clapping. The entertainment staff (I use that term loosely) seemed to have had a lovers tiff and spent the night making digs at each others sexual performance. Not really what I was expecting for entertainment. The food was disgusting. I'm not a fussy eater and I must admit when I saw that burgers and chips were on the menu I thought we were sorted! Unfortunately, The menu was much better than the actual food. This would be an ideal holiday for anyone trying to lose weight. I lost half a stone in a week. The staff were mostly friendly, however, when my son got his watch stolen at the pool area, the first day we were there no one seemed at all interested in doing anything to help. On the whole, I would never go back there even if it were free. I loved Salou and the surrounding areas but Molinos I could live without."

Great for families
"We arrived at the hotel and we were not booked although the receptionists were really nice and booked us in most of the staff were polite although there are a few who were a bit grumpy at times. The food was great and there was a wide variety and its suitable for children. The swimming pool area was clean and there were plenty of sunbeads and chairs for you to lie on. The area around the hotel is quiet and so we went in to salou during the day a couple of times. The entertainemet was more for children and was on a little late for adults although the entertainers were brilliiant with the children."

"dont book your holiday through teletext with media holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we had so many problems, we arrived at airport and the rep had the wrong name, then had to wait another 3 hours at airport for the next flight to come so could get on coach(saving money for them). arrived at hotel , rep left us at coach n drove off, got into hotel n there was no recolection of our booking, so had be moved to another hotel for a night which wasnt all inclusive!! neway to the hotel, it was ok. the recption area was nice and welcoming, rooms are basic, but u do only sleep in them. the food is just chips, burgers etc. we ate our dinner there for a snack then went into salou for the day. the pool area is the kind where its over crowded and everyone looks at each other, felt too much like a fishbowl. salou is only 5, 6 mins away in taxi, we went into salou everyday n night, u can eitha get a taxi, or bus. the hotel i think is in a nice location, shops , encoved beach and few bars are nearby. the hotel staff are really friendly and they do try there hardest for you. overall the holiday was good, but only coz we went into salou everyday. would definitly go back to salou but in a different hotel."

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL
"booked holiday through teletext , looked on web for description of hotel , looked real nice in pics , sounded lovely , lots to do etc , how wrong could it be , We arrived early hours of sept 7th , hotel looked nice on arrival , rooms ok , small but clean Food is repetitive , everyday is chips , chicken , salad etc , with the odd exception of what i think were meant to be mini lamb chops, , snack bar was appalling , basically consisted of what looked like left overs dfrom meal times, sausage, burgers , fish fingers and yes more chips alcholic drinks were included but cocktails were not and drinks served in tiny plastic cups so you need a lot to get even slightly tipsy, also we booked an ALL INCLUSIVE holiday but we was not allowed ice creams or crisps for free entertainment is non existant , there is meant to be aerobics in morning and sports dyuring day , there is nothing like this , night time entertainment consists of bingo and 2 obviously under paid so called reps dancing on stage there is no main rep at this hotel so if you find yourself in need of urgent assistance you will have to phone your tour operators pool is ok , and jacuuzi area is child free but jacuuzi are cold this hotel is boring , staff are unhelpful , our party cobnsisted of 3 adults aged 24- 28 so if your young dont bother with this hotel, salou is lovely i would go back but not to this hotel on another note i was here from 7th til 14th sept , was in room 401 if anyone stayed ere same time as me get in touch at [email protected]"

"there was 13 of us went from Northern Ireland and thought it was great, the size of the rooms werent great and there was no kitchen facilitie in the rooms but the only time your in the room is to sleep, wash and change! I loved the food, plenty of variety, starters, main courses and deserts. Frys every morning, boiled eggs, toast and cereal also available. How could anyone complain about this hotel. When I read the reviews I was so nervous and really was unsure about going. Whoever finds this hotel below average should maybe need to stay in the ritz! I have been on 5-6 previous holidays and have stayed in many hotels/BB and thought this was by far 1 off the best and the staff are ALL so friendly, espeically the bar staff downstaoirs. he only complanit I would have is about the mesaures you get for drinks and the noise from the kitchen and other rooms, but overall Id give these apartments 10-10."
