"We went to this hotel on May 16th 2011 till 23rd May 2011, we were looking forward to a nice stress free holiday, where we could relax and have a nice time.. instead it was the worst holiday we have been on so far, Every day of our holiday there were work men working on the hotel and no entertainment throughout day or night. The food was the same every day, was barley warm. Staff didn't understand much English at all it was hard to get them to understand. At evenings when sat having a drink when turn 12 o'clock everything was closed down, lights out and locked up, never heard of an all inclusive holiday that closes down at midnight, We would NOT recommend this hotel to anybody. "Just got back from a weeks all inclusive at the Cambrils Playa. The room could do with a bit of updating, however they it had everything you needed including air con. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels were changed daily. Entertainment was not very good, on two nights there was only a mini disco this meant that we went outside the hotel some evenings, which is not the plan when you are all inclusive. The food was good there was always something to eat for even the fussiest of eaters, if you like paella and fish it was great. All inclusive guests were only given plastic glasses for their drinks including tea or coffee, which is fine round the pool in the day time but not in the evening. Location is ok, about a 30 minute walk to Salou or Cambrils or you can get the bus, there aren't many bars or restraunts in the immediate vacinity."

"This hotel has been operational since 1975 this was sincere information offered by the bar man,he had religiously worked there for 35 years! So this hotel is incredibily dated. Its tired, in parts tatty and a bit unloved. The Hotel is situated 40 mins walk from cambrills town, which is quaint and quiet. If you walk for about 1 hour in the opposite direction to cambrills town you will reach Salo. This Hotel is in a quiet area if you avoid the rooms at the rear of the Hotel ..there you will find a train track...a busy train track. However, taking that into account the Hotel is reasonably clean (escept public loos in foyer) the pool area is quite small to cater for appox 800 potential guests with a mere 150 sunbeds some which are very tatty and uncomfortable. The straw umbrellas are sad and a bit thred bare thus letting in light not good for those needing the shade. there is life gaurd and the pool is managed from 10-19.00 daily which is safe for the kids if you have them. Food here is CHIPS with everything.....plenty of salads, fresh fruit, and sea food. But its not always piping hot...especially the breakfasts. Oh, If you hire a car there is loads of room to park it for free at the rear of the hotel. Rooms...mainly decorated in blue....bathroom functionable, for hygiene the water pressure will flucuate so watch out for blasts of cold the hot water. this may be just Spains plumbing?! Courtesy rooms are available on request.Ask on the morning of departure.otherwise you can pay 20 Euros to keep your room. The bar is segregated into paying guests and those all inclusive...not quite worked out the rationale for this one yet.Possibly money as all paying guests were served first most of the time. Also all inclusive guests got drinks in plastic cups...even hot coffee.Odd.....we thought so too..... Overall we had a weeks rest....met some funny and friendly people....This hotel is ok, if you want a cheap get away...to the sun...one week yes its ok but any longer and you will be bored...no entertainment either ....except for the kids..if you have them. Oh beach close by 10 mins walk....very clean. If you decide to go here enjoy it..... Overall we had a relaxing time here "

" we just stayed at cambrils playa for one week 31st may till 6th june 2010. The hotel in general is clean very smart ,staff friendly . But the food let the hotel down not a giant size variety , they was chip for lunch chips for dinner every day , the pasta was put out and a pile of tomatoes sauce plonked in the middle, no cheese with it the first night my hubbie asked me if i wanted soup i said yes big mistake it was brown tasted like gravy yuk the chef cooked in front of u chicken pieces or veal and there was allways pallea there . salads was the same everynight two choices one made with rice one with pasta.Breakfast was a bit better it was very grease bacon, fryed or boiled eggs , and bake beans plus ham and cheese bread to toast or cobs, not hot the bacon sometime was stone cold . It a shame the food wasn,t as good as other three star hotels and believe me i have stayed in loads over the years with my husband who is a coach driver . On thursday night both me and my husband had a turkey leg very well cooked , but i didn,t think turkey legs would be on nextday and looked like they had been reheated as they were well over done that night. But we get what we pay for . But when booking we were told entertainment everynight i felt sorry for people with children who was looking forward to the children club and what they get nothing at first then a lady who got them to sing same songs everynight and only drawed with them as for all the promises like archery table tennis plus other didn,t happen when the british was there , but soon as the spanish and french arrived on thursday everything changed they took over the hotel the food went up a bit and a live group was playing at nightime but at bar if spanish were waiting for drink s they allways got served before british . But other wise the hotel was in a good position easy to walk to the beach ,bus stop outside hotel 3 km from centre of cambrils and 7kms from salou "

"This hotel is minging! The bedroom was so dirty n the bathroom was worse, the bath had actually been painted n masking tape left on from when they did it! There was a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom too. We had to get the management to come and look at it. My boy lost a ball under the bed, there was abt 3in off muck. We told the manager to which he replied "well who looks under the bed!". There is no entertainment as stated for the kids, only a run down mini golf course. The staff that worked there can't have slept, they were there morning noon and night. We had to make the most of this Hol, but there were ppl that booked out 2 days later because it was so bad. Do not go! The lift broke down twice and the staff had to prise the doors open. It was horrendous, I have many stories more but hope that that's enough to stop you going. "

"Do not ever travel with Fleetway.com!Just wanted to mention that quickly. On arrival at Barcelona airport we had noone to meet my partner and i and his 13 year old and my 11 yr old. After lots of confusion and trying to call the emergency number in the small print we finally found a bus to accept our travel vouchers after 2and a half hours !. The cambrils is a pleasant hotel easy a 3 star and personally i thought the food was of a good standard. However after a couple of days became repetitive and too much fish which smelt strongly throughout the restaurant! The breakfast and the desserts were very good. The entertainment was a big let down all that was available was definitely for very young children and its lights off at midnight. The pool was lovely, good in size though cold at first and slippery as you have to go up and down a big step all around the pool. Hotel staff seemed a little miserable and the cleaners knock once then come into your room regardless of the "Do not disturb"sign.Near the end of our holiday we discovered that the activities ie mini golf and tennis were actually in the neighbouring hotel!.The nearby beach is beautiful but over 20 euros for 4 beds !.Salou is nearby and quite lively i recommend The Robin Hood and The Rovers Return if you like karoke.Always use the bus as taxis expensive.Nearby port aventura is a great theme park and is 100 euros for 2 adults and 2 kids from 7pm til 12 (cheaper than day)though to our annoyance the queques were 2 hours long so not good value for money there!Overall was a good holiday though rained heavily 3 times but i would recommend the hotel itself."

"Just come back from 2 weeks at Cambrils Playa, self, husband and sons(13&11) we all had a fantastic time. Large comfortable rooms, cleaned daily, good food, all inc worked really well. Bar/waiting staff friendly. It's a family friendly hotel, no noise after midnight. Lovely beach only short walk(not good at judging distance but no more than 300m) away. 2 supper swimming pools, although as previously stated take care around main pool due to marble, top pool much better but grass needed cutting, tennis courts, basketball nets and football my 2 boys didn't need much else other than a trip to Port Aventura! Would happily recommend for families, don't go if you're a twosome you'll feel out of place with us families!! "

"My rating is for an all inclusive 3 star hotel...not the Ritz. Many reviewers have commented that their sheets were not changed daily, but how many people change their sheets at home each day? The area around the pool is slippery so care should be taken and my daughter burnt her hand on the drier in the ladies loo, when I asked reception to put it out of service it took a while to find someone who understood English,(however, their English is better than my Spanish!) and unfortunately when I showed her, she agreed and said "I know; it's dangerous" but no action was taken. The bar and security staff were all extremely pleasant and happy. The food was wonderful, except undercooked chicken on one occasion. There was plenty of choice and the desserts were amazing! Sandra (the rep onsite) is fabulous, and it was a pleasure to meet her. Upon arrival reception could not find our booking, but put us in a room for the evening until our booking information was retrieved. The entertainment was unimpressive, but after a few Sangria's it's easier to be amused...unfortunately perhaps in the wrong places??? Overall I was happy with this hotel, and I plan to return. "
