10 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"What can we say? We watched the programme, booked the holiday & sat back & waited since last June to go ................... the wait was worth it & every penny spent was worth it!!!!
The welcome was lovely - we felt as though we were old friends meeting up again.
Nick & Lesley made it clear that it was our holiday to enjoy and went over the local map with us to give us directions to the best restaurants, the tram, etc. WE even had a cup of tea!
The room was gorgeous - on a par with any boutique hotel we've stayed in in the UK - immaculate, and the bathroom was a joy!
If anyone wants a "couples" get away holiday at an excellent price with excellent service and excelletn facilities, this is the plac to go!
We will be back ....................

A little oasis
"What a little gem! We spent 4 nights here recently and enjoyed our stay very much and will try to return. The lovely Moorish /modern style of this hotel works so well with tasteful decor, wonderfully comfortable beds and the best power shower ever! There are a few good restaurants within a short walking distance but take your phrase book! Although Nick and Lesley were away for most of our stay we were well looked after by Eugene and Heidi who were helpful with information on the surrounding area. Nothing was too much trouble. Parking is possible around the corner and we always found a space, although sometimes it was a squeeze.
Despite everything Nick and Lesley stayed focused during their project and they must be proud they did.

Cool, white and tranquil
"Cool, white and tranquil, the interior of the hotel combines traditional Moorish architecture with elegant modern style. Luminous marble lines the stairs as you make your way up to the sun-drenched terrace on the third floor, where a dipping pool, reclining chairs and a shaded bar area promise a haven from the narrow, bustling streets of the old town of Velez Malaga. From the terrace a panoramic view takes in the old town, the Moorish castle above it and the coastal plain sweeping south to the sea.
Hosts Nick and Lesley are warm and attentive hosts who give you space to relax - breakfast with delicious local pastries is literally available at any time - but are also on hand to give advice on places to visit, travel arrangements or local facilities.
This hotel is a perfect blend of elegance, comfort and tranquility and a wonderful place to recharge your batteries."

A Brilliant Hotel Run By A Fantastic Couple
"What a fabulous hotel. We had a four night stay and nothing was too much trouble for nick and lesley who own the hotel. We were made to feel really welcome and told to treat it as our home while we were there, which we did. Our stay was relaxed and very enjoyable we had a brilliant time and hope to go back very soon. The hotel is fabulous and a credit to them we have recomended it to all our family and friends. Well done to you both."

"My husband & I enjoyed a 4 night stay at the gorgeous Palcaio Blanco Hotel from February 22nd and can only endorse all the previous glowing reviews.
Lesley and Nick are very special people with sound values and ethics as well as a great sense of fun. They are commited to doing all they can to ensure that their guests enjoy a perfect stay and they certainly succeeded with us. With their advice and guidance we enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside and sampling the excellent local restaurants.
The Palacio Blanco deserves to be fully booked at all times - we just hope that there is a room vacant for us when we are able to return and we hope that will be soon!"

"Congratulations to Nick and Lesley. The hotel is wonderful. You did a great job. Anyone who likes good taste and hospitality in a genuine Spanish town without the tourist crowds will certainly enjoy a stay in Palacio Blanco. Looking forward to come back.

Style and comfort
"During a tour of the famous, and luxurious, Spanish Paradors we stayed at the Hotel Palacio Blanco and were deeply impressed with the equally stylish establishment created by Lesley and Nick. The establishment is a most interesting blend of traditional Spanish and modern design.
Relaxing under the stars in either the courtyard or on the roof top terrace is truly memorable and hosts Lesley and Nick are devoted to the notion of making guests feel 'at home'.
If you're going to be in the south of Spain anytime I advise you to stay with them in the Hotel Palacio Blanco."

"You've got to go. We have recently returned from a three night stay at Palacio Blanco. All you romantics out there wishing to romance your partners, this will earn you some serious brownie points. The atmosphere is very friendly thanks to the charms of Nick and Lesley who have clearly worked extremely hard to create perfection. The décor, local art work and soft furnishings show elegance but cleverly they have managed to create a warm friendly atmosphere. The fresh pastries collected daily by Nick from the local bakery are also a winner. If you are looking for traditional Spanish food Velez Malaga provides excellent eateries just a few minutes walk from the hotel, but if you like fry ups and burgers, then you need to visit Costa Del Sol Somewhere else!!! But seriously, make sure this is the next place you visit, we will defiantly go back."

"We have just stayed 2 nights at Hotel Palacio Blanco in Velez-Malaga. Nick & Lesley Vallance were the perfect hosts and did everything to make our stay enjoyable and stress free. The service they gave was very personal and we were made to feel very welcome.
We expected the hotel to be stunning but it surpassed what we were expecting.
The hotel is ideal as a base or to completely chill out.
We will certainly be going back and will recommend it to our friends."
