"My husband and 9 year old son, visited here for a week in june 2012, the hotel was very clean and they maintained the grounds very well. There was a very good selection of food in the restaurant and a choice of three pools during the day. The shuttle bus to the town was good, regular and free, although an nice walk to the front was lovely too and only took 20minutes. We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel."

Had a good holiday at Roc El Pinar
"Just got back from Roc El Pinar and must say was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews, the only problem I had was with the English moaning non stop, food was good massive selection, rooms were clean, the free bus was good and the staff did their best, we didnt pay much at all so was pleased with what we got, would go again for the price."

"I have just returned from Roc El Pinar, my husband surprised me and booked up for a long weekend for my 30th birthday. We had a fab holiday however did not think much of the hotel. Our room, reception area, dinning room were all clean however a little outdated. The pool area and all of the outside area were filthy. The floor tiles were all beer stained. I would not walk around without my shoes and was glad i never took our 2 young children..Never lay by the pool due to dirtyness and lack of sunbeds so got the free shuttle bus to the beech every day. The food was ok but didn't eat there for every meal so was a bit of a waste due to being all inclusive. The majority of visitors were spanish which was not a problem however most staff could only speak very minimal english. "

Worst Hotel Ever!!!!!!!!!!!
"I have just come back from a week in this hotel where i stayed with my partner and 9 month old baby and i need a holiday to recover!!!....Everything about this hotel is awful. I would have preferred to of stayed in a hostel. The hotel is understaffed and the staff they do have are miserable and unhelpful. The hotel is totally NOT child friendly at all....you cant put a little one down at all as there is just rough concrete or grass that is full of cigarette buts and a big drop down hill. There is no way of getting milk (baby or cows milk) for your child from the hotel. Our room had no aircon, which we kept reporting as the heat was stifling but was never fixed!! The "all inclusive" option is not all inclusive as the limitations are so much that we ended up eating out. There is no control of noisy yobbos...you are subjected to the noise 24 hours a day. There is no welcome meeting to tell you where anything is....find out for yourself. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a balcony (which we were not) you may get a view of a brick wall....the apartment block,or the main road....great views..NOT. Would rate this 2 star....how on earth it got 4 stars i will never know!!!!"

Going back next week!!! â¥â¥
"We < two family's> spent Christmas 2009 at this hotel. As it happens Spain had the worst rain it had had in years.Parts of the hotel were flooded as this building was just not built for such rain just like most in Spain. It was all over the local news about villages being flooded etc etc. Staff were regularly out mopping and changing rugs to soak up the water and roped off any areas of danger. Our room was not perfect. It had a few minor faults but nothing to write home about, after all what do you expect? You get what you pay for?? There was ample room for my husband myself and our 3 children and unlike other reviews was cleaned maybe every other day, the balcony was nice and safe for little people and had all cup plates etc you could need although we were all inclusive. How anyone can complain about the food is beyond me?? there was vast choice daily. OK it might not be British ... hello ....your in Spain!!!! If you were a fussy eater there was still soup and rolls, pasta salad etc etc ...If you don't want to branch out .. GO TO BUTLINS!!! At the time of my visit my children were 3, 6 and 9. The evening entertainment was fab bearing in mind we were there out of season and I'm sure there is more going on at other times. As I said we are going back next week. Why? Because you get what you pay for. The building is not perfect but more than perfectly adequate the staff staff at all times were courteous and effient can't wait to go back! Oh and by the way it cost us about 18 Euros from the air port in a taxi :o)"

Worst Hotel Service Ever
"Booked the hotel in December and paid fully by June. Then arrived in August to find they were actually fully booked and so they had no room for the 11 of us eventhough we had rung a few weeks before to confirm the booking. Left stranded in their lobby they did not assist us with finding somewhere to sleep instead ignored us and when we asked for help they simply replied saying they were too busy. They didn't provide any service or even suggest other hotels. I wouldn't recommend this place at all cause if something was to happen they would not help at all! Total disgrace of a hotel.!"

We made the most of it.
"Well on a good note the entertainment (koko loco disco)every night at 9pm is fantastic for the kids they love it. Anyone considering All inclusive I really would advise against its not worth it. Kids can only get ice cream between 5pm and 6pm (whats the point so close to tea time) The swimming pools are gated in and dont open until 10am and when they open at 10am thats when they begin cleaning them. Breakfast was something else we all lived on baked beans for the week terrible breakfast but the lunch and dinners were,nt so bad. We planned to spend alot of time in our hotel and on arriving we were greeted with a very un pleasant man at the reception desk they dont speak english and we found this very frustrating. I think this hotel is more aimed at spanish holiday makers than british we didnt spend anytime at the hotel poor value for money. "

Roc El Pinar definitely not four star!
"Two friends and I have just returned from a week stay at the Roc El Pinar. The complex is predominantly Spanish and very family orientated which didn't worry us as all we wanted was a nice base. The apartment on arrival was clean albeit dated but this quickly deteriorated as the rooms were not swept, mopped or the bedding changed all week. The public areas were very dirty (including lifts in the apartment section of the complex)and were not cleaned or mopped until the last day when the hotel was expecting new arrivals. What few staff were in evidence were very busy(waiting staff and bar staff). On a positive note, food was OK with plenty of choice and really good salads (but again not 4 star). There is a regular bus service down to the beach although it is just as quick to walk. Torremolinos itself is fine, beaches are nice and the sunbeds more comfortable than the ones in our apartment. In my opinion the Roc El Pinar is a 2 star complex with 3 star dining. I'm sad to say that I will not stay here or any other Roc hotel/complex again!"

IGNORE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE READ AND DECIDE YOURSELF
"We all gave a marking for this hotel and all 4 of us gave 8.5 out of 10.. 4 not so good golfers from LIVERPOOL. Have just stayed at the El Pinar Torremolinos for 7 days from the 17th May onwards with two of my brothers and a cousin(4 men), we booked it because we were on a golfing break. Having read all the previous reviews, yes i for one was worried about what we were letting ourselves in for... Well ill be totally honest and inform you all - The hotel is 3 star and not 4 star. Food was excellent although one of my brothers lost 4 lbs in weight which seems impossible considering we were having 4 or 5 courses for breakfast/lunch/evening meal. The food is catered for the spanish, a lot of garlic/chicken/pork - I hate garlic but this did not stop me eating 4 or 5 courses myself. Drinks- From the moment the poolside bar opens at 11am the drinks available to you are endless and FREE. Obviously top brands are not free and you only have to ask to see what is free/Spanish spirits are not as strong as top brands - Drinking spanish spirits is fine and not once did any of us have a headache or feel ill. We went out of the hotel drinking on a few occasions to the square in Benalmadena - Good time had but not somewhere i would take my partner unless i was with other couples - drugs being sold on the streets by LUCKY LUCKY men who were selling watches/sunglasses as a cover. Dont get me wrong im looking to book the hotel again in september with my partner and unless we meet other couples would not take her to the SQUARE. Torremolinos is a nice resort. Buses/Train services are excellent and much cheaper than taxis. If you get a taxi ask the price before you get in. Beach in Torremolinos was lovely although there are better ones in Fuengirola/Benalmadena/and all along the coast really. Golf was fantastic, hot, and very expensive - was our first golf trip abroad and we learnt a lot, twilight fees were much cheaper... If only we had known we could have saved £100 each quite easily. Hotel amenities were nothing special, entertainment basic, but the hotel itself was very relaxing. Sunbeds were poor but with there being no Germans at the hotel no one ever fought over sunbeds, we were quite happy to put our towels down on the floor. Did not see a single cat at hotel - was under the illusion from other reviewers that there were hundreds of cats!!! The rooms were basic yes, but spotlessly clean and in the two rooms we had we did not see a single insect - how many hotels can you say that about. The beds were comfortable and we all had no problems going to sleep on them Hotel walls are thin, we heard the couple in the next room although he only lasted for 2 minutes so it was not to bad, really. Bathroom spotless, shower old but there was always hot water all day. INTERNET ACCESS at hotel was 1 euro for 10 minutes which equates to approx. £5.50 an hour.... Take a netbook with you as internet (wifi) is free in hotel lobby. Free shuttle bus to beach is good although we walked it every day(20minutes). PLEASE ignore all other reviews and accept this one as an honest review of the hotel. Would happily go back tomorrow for another week. Some of the reviews i have read regarding the EL PINAR from other people from England i find hard to believe, 1s and 2s out of ten..... DO NOT LET THEM REVIEWS PUT YOU OFF THIS PLACE. By the way we payed £209 each for a week all inclusive, we had well got our £209 worth half way through the week.Am looking at the hotel now for late september- £270 all inclusive each including flights from Liverpool. 15euros each way in a taxi and you need very little spends if you are having a hotel based holiday. I know this is a long review but i have tried to be honest. HOTEL/HOLIDAY/TRIP/GOLF/BEACH ALL FANTASTIC. "
