Lovely Hotel with superb owners and staff

"We stayed at this small hotel which is tucked away about 5 minutes walk from the Torremolinos promenade.
The accommodation is simply designed, very clean, and provides a relaxing haven in an oriental environment, away from the hustle and bustle of typical Torremolinos.
The food is excellent, and if you are unfamiliar with Japanese food, but would like to try it, the owners will happily adapt the breakfast and evening meals (set menus of Japanese or Continental cuisine) to suit you.
The owners and staff are always happy to help and provide a first class service to guests.
We enjoyed our weekend stay very much and would recommend this unique hotel to others."

Fabulous Oasis

"La Luna Blanca is a lovely, cosy and spotlessly clean hotel. I chose this hotel because of previous terrific reviews I had read and also the fact that it is a 2 storey building rather than high rise. There are 9 rooms in the hotel, 7 upstairs and 2 on the ground floor. We had a ground floor double bedroom which was perfect in every way. It was a fine sized room, bright and airy, very tastefully decorated which a huge super king sized bed which was extremely comfortable. Double doors opened out onto a tiled private patio area c/w garden furniture. The bathroom was quite large in size with a full bathroom suite and was fully tiled, again it was spotlessly clean and was fully equiped with hair dryer, toiletries including a comb and toothbrushes just in case you had forgotton to pack. There was a fully stocked very reasonably priced mini-bar also a courtesy tray with Kettle, 2 cups and Japanese tea.

The hotel is located in a residential area a short stroll from both Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Carihuela beach which is beautiful. Because of it's cosy size and location we had a peaceful & comfortable nights sleep each night. Breakfast was very enjoyable and plentiful, including freshly squeezed orange juice, cereals, cold meats, cheese, breads and eggs cooked to your preference.

There is a hot tub and sauna on the roof which I would highly recommend. It is screened off with bamboo fencing for privacy. There is also a small swimming pool to the front of the hotel.

A taxi from Malaga airport took about 15 mins & cost Eur 20 incl. tip. As this is a relatively new hotel it is advisable to print out a map for the taxi driver.

I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a very pleasant stay and will most definitely return. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful in every way which gave the hotel a more homely and relaxing feel."

An Oasis

"We had toured Andalucia and wanted to be near the airport for our last couple of days as our flight was early so we picked Torremolinos. We wanted somewhere that wasn't 'touristy and loud'. The reviews on Trip Advisor convinced us to try this hotel, and we were not disapointed! The owners are so attentive and helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable as they catered for our every whim. We are only sorry we didn't eat there on the two nights choosing instead to take their generous advice to try a restaurant they reccommend in town. That was disapointing so we decided to try the hotel the second night after experiencing the beautiful breakfast. We chose the European menu - we only knew we were going to have a meat dish and a fish dish, so every dish was a surprise! We had three starters, each one delicious, and the main course and dessert were beautiful. It was simply the best food we had in our whole holliday. The staff are so proud of their hotel and their facilities and make it their business to make you feel welcome in every way. The room we were in had a small kitchenette which was supplied with basic needs like olive oil, seasonings etc. There was even washing detergent to hand was our smalls which is always a problem in hotel rooms. An oasis in Torremolinos which deserves four stars!"

One of the best hotels we have had the pleasure of staying at!

"Just returned from a four night break at Hotel la Luna Blanca.

What can I say! This is one the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Set in a quiet residential area, and only ten minutes walk from El Pinnilo Train Station. (1.5 Euro each from Malaga Airport - takes 14 minutes!)

The owners (Chizuko and Reiko) and the other staff cannot do enough for you. They are so friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and of a very high standard with a beautiful balcony with flower boxes. The beds are massive and the bathroom lovely, with shampoo, shower gel, shoe shine, toothbrushes, shaving kit etc etc) Plenty of hot water and very powerful shower.

The room was cleaned and towels changed every day.

Breakfast was lovely and served on the patio area. We had a choice of lots of things, toast, beautiful home made marmalade, coissants, hams, cheeses, eggs, cereal, fresh orange, tea, coffee etc tec.

The pool area is gorgeous, again spotlessly clean. A few sun loungers available and very smart comfortable chairs and tables under the archway in the shade. Two showers also available.

I would most definitely return to this hotel - it really does has that personal touch. Paco even gave us a lift back to the station when we left. Chizuko, Reiko and the rest of the staff work so hard, and deserve the success of this hotel."

"Fantastic welcome, excellent hotel, very good value for money.
Really friendly, polite, pleasant and helpful staff. Every day cleaning. If to compare with other Spanish hotels it is rather 3 then 2 stars hotel. Very pleasant vacation with our 2years old baby (free baby cot). The Japanese dinner was excellent! Free parking for hotel clients."
