Wouldnt go here again
"The apartments looked ok upon arrival,However once we got into the room and saw the cockroaches we asked for a move. They did move us but this room was no better it seems the whole block is infested. The apartment was clean but the walls were very thin thus making it quite a noisey stay. The put you up double bed in the lounge was so old and creaky we had to put the cushions on the floor to get some sleep.Cheap yes value for money NO.The good point are there are a couple of good bars nearby The CARIBE where san miguel was 1 euro a pint and the food was great. Also RUMORS bar a little further down the road was clean Ian and Elaine were really friendly and you are garunteed a warm welcome."

Excellent situation for all amenities, c...
"Excellent situation for all amenities, close to beach, local transport bars and shops. The accommodation though not flash is very clean and well equipped. The accommodation is a real sun trap. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Have stayed there approx 5 times and would definitely stay again. Close to the accommodation are quite a few bars and eateries. Perfect for winter breaks and not expensive. You can get the local bus to various places such a Mijas or the train to Fuengirola. Would recommend."

Great Cheap Hotel
"For a two star hotel this was brilliant. We paid next to nothing for a week in this hotel and it was in a perfect location and was clean! The rooms were quite big, the bathroom was ok apart from the toilet faced the bath and there wasn't enough room to actually sit on it! Pool always looked clean although it was a little cold to go in! Benalmadena Marina is just a 10 minute walk if you go down to the beach and turn right. It is really nice there although a little more pricey but there are plenty of bars and places to eat. There is another little bar just down to the left as you come out of the hotel and it's on the corner, it's an english run pub and they are really friendly. We took the bus through to Malaga which had lots of good shops etc, was worth the look. I wasn't as impressed with marbella as i thought i would be and getting there was a bit of a pain as the first day the bus didn't turn up at our stop and the second day it was running quite late so there was a lot of hanging about. Torremolinos town was worth a look too and from there we got a taxi to the Crocodile Park, that was good and you get to hold a baby croc which makes it worth it! :o) The 24 hour square is just 10 minutes up the hill from the hotel but in November it's not really that busy, that's why we prefered the marina."

the jurys out
"stayed at the hotel in late august 2005 and thought it fabulous. a short stroll to the beach and lots of great eating places (for all tastes ) nearby as well as the cheapest pint in spain across the road. room backed onto a spanish complex , no noise and the pool area was just what we wanted.great mix of people in the hotel that lended to a friendly atmosphere. booked to go back in early june 2006 and what a mistake. the place is overun with stag and hen nights taking advantage of the cheaper flights on budget airlines.this is not a time for families and i felt really sorry for those on the package holidays with kids.unfortunately the small number of non conformists in those parties spoil it for all.balcony parties ran from 1am till after 9am as well as some poor behaviour and language around the pool side .it was hard to believe that this was regarded as a family hotel. However all the positives from august still there as well as great staff on reception and around the hotel , rooms clean but watch what time of year you go .avoid cheap flight season with families or those looking for a quite time ."

Enjoyed the Stay
"We were a bit apprehensive about booking the Ecuador Apartments as they were only rated as 2 star but went ahead as they were situated only a short walk from La Carrahuela area of Torremalinos. When we arrived we were plesently surprised with what we got for our money. The apartments were very clean with seperate kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedroom. There was a large balcony overlooking the pool with a smaller balcony at the back off the bedroom which overlooked the street, but we could see the sea from ours but we were in the corner block. I'll admit there are a number of "Brit/Irish Bars" close by but it's only a short walk to find something more Spanish, or German, or Dutch or ....etc. The pool although not massive is a reasonable enough size to have fun in. The pool side bar is also OK and opens daily around 16:00. A few minor moans are that you pay extra for a TV remote to use the TV but who wants to watch TV when you are on holiday. The safe key costs 2 euros a day with a 6 euro deposit. There is no kettle in the kitchen, you have to hire this but we just used a pan to boil water for coffee and tea. Your not supposed to use lilos or rubber rings in the pool but most days this wasn't a problem unless Mr "jobs worth" receptioinst was working. On the whole good well run apartments which are value for money ideally situated to walk to both Torremalinos and Benalmadena. I would stay there again."

"I have stayed at this hotel on four occasions over the past two years. Yes it's cheap and you can't get a better bargain. However the noise between the rooms is unbelievable. You can hear everything during the night. It also did not help on the last trip that in the room above there was a golf group and they were up and about at 6am each morning. Needless to say so were we! There was also a festival in town for four of the 16 nights we were there and the hotel became a crazy party place (most nights until 4am). On top of this it must of been the season for cockroachs they were everywhere, especially in the morning. I was also in the hotel during the summer of 2005 and so were 12 English football fans on a stag party. It was a nightmare for the 3 nights they were there! The bad language forced most families with kids to the beach for the day. The staff at the hotel are excellant and try their best to help. But this hotel is one to give a miss. Four times there never again just to save a pound or two."

Good value for money, but with minor flaws
"Just returned from Ecuador Park Apartments. We had a 2-room apartment for 8 nights for 280 euros (booked with AlphaRooms) which is extremely cheap. Location: Taxi to the hotel from the airport is 18 euros (fixed price). The area (Montemar) is really not all that charming and there is about a 45 min.'s walk from the hotel to the center of Torremolinos following the beach promenade (Paseo Maritimo). Next time I would go for Benalmadena (about 1 km. west) or Carihuela (about 1 km. east). On the other hand the hotel is very close to the beach (200 meters) with all the bars and restaurants. There are also affordable eateries and bars just around the corner from the hotel, but many of these are football pubs and specifically British or Irish places (serving stuff like Yorkshire-pudding and steak-and-kidney-pie for the strictly conservative English palate....) At night the area is wonderfully and surprisingly quiet - maybe due to fact the season hasn't quite started yet. A small supermarket is located just across the street with fresh bread every morning and grilled "take-away"-chickens for sale later in the day. Their prices are somewhat touristy - especially for liquor. A better bargain is made at the large Mercadona superstore at the Avenida Carlota Allessandri (about 1 kilometer from the hotel). A local hotel bus "Aloha Torremolinos" passes right outside the hotel and stops if you make a sign that you want a ride. We didn't try, as we had rented a car for the whole week. Apartment: Spacious and more than adequate for 2 persons. Spotless and superclean. But mind that the apartment is only cleaned and towels only changed every other day, so if you stay in the summer and want to go swimming in the sea you should bring some towels for that purpose. Poolarea is not big but is kept very clean - and is nicely "decorated" with flowers and palmtrees. Maybe the pool is a little too deep for small children: 110 cm in the lower end and 170 cm in the deepest end. Parents should be around at all times. Flaws: 1. The hotel consists of 4 separated stairways (blocks), each with 6-7 apartments and there is no "horizontal" connection between these blocks. There is only one elevator (in block 6). All the other apartments/blocks are NOT elevator serviced. I told the receptionist that maybe they should change the text on their website as it does not clearly states this fact about the "missing" elevators - considering possible senior guests who are not able to climb the stairs to the 4th floor. 2. Another web-site embellishment is: "Televisions with four satellite channels" - ooops ! It seems they forgot to tell you that if you want to actually use the television it will cost you 2 euros pr. day. These minor flaws set aside: Ecuador Park gives good value for your money for a budget holiday."

Christmas in the sun
"A week over Christmas in the sun for a family, for £610.00 including flights. Do not expect luxury, but the apartments are comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff work in the complex cleaning etc. from around 8:00AM each day until around 5:00PM We had clean bedding on day of arrival, and once during the week. Clean towels on day of arrival and twice in the week. The apartment was also thoroughly cleaned three times in the week. Cooking facilities are basic; 4 rings, microwave, toaster - no kettle. Ideal for breakfast indoors, then eat out the rest of the time. There is a bus stop outside the main entrance, a taxi rank round the corner (less than 50m) the beach front is just beyond the taxi rank (less than 100m) For a great (family) night out there are pubs and bars beside the taxi rank. Brown's Bar is a welcoming relaxed family pub. Jeff and Muriel will soon become firm friends. A 5 minute stroll takes you to the marina at Benalmadina, where you can visit the Sea Life Centre or take a glass bottomed boat trip to Fuengirola for about £6 each. Alternatively, shop till you drop in the myriad shops and boutiques in the marina itself. The marina is so clean, the waters are teaming with fish. We will most certainly be back."

"I stayed at the Ecuador Park in April 2005 with a group of lads. All in all the aprtments are of a decent standard with a nice pool. They are situated in a really good spot in between Torremolinos and Benalmadena. I would recommend the carvery outside of the main gates to the hotel. They will look after you, feed you and they also sell cheap beer! The marina at benalmadena is deffo worth a visit as is the 24 hour square for those wishing to do things to the max. I would stay there again."

Rain in England alas rain in Torremolinos!!
"We stayed at the Ecuador Aprts last December. Tried to escape the English rain unfortunatly it rained for most of the time we were in Torremolinos. Still had fantstic time, Ecuador is a lovely block, the apartments were spacious and even had a heater!!! The reception was very friendly and hospitable. Only complaint, because of the time of the year the pool was too cold and obviously the pool bar wasn't open. Not to be downhearted, went to the local bars. Try out The Smugglers, owned by an Irish couple. Had quite a few nights in there. Shops shut when we left they even provided us with toilet roll to take back to the apts cos' we'd run out!!! Will certainly be going back there again this year, hopefully not taking the rain with us."
