10 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"This was a lovely little hotel. Clean, quiet, friendly and helpfulstaff, good value for money. Rooms have blaconies with view of town and the sea. Kettle in room, which is unusual in Europe. No fridge/minibar though. Location has both good and bad points - it's away from the town centre, which makes it quieter and I enjoyed being away from all tourist hoopla. However, you are agood 15 minute walk from the beach (20 minutes back uphill) which makes it difficult to just pop in for a quick swim."

What a little gem
"We booked a holiday at Los Arcos Hotel having read other people's reviews on Tripadvisor, we weren't disappointed. The room was immaculate, everything was new or looked it. The staff were friendly and the weather great. The only problem is it is a little way out from the centre of Nerja. If you are coming in on the Malaga bus it is better to stay on the bus as it goes on its way to the caves. You can get off the bus directly outside the hotel. We would definitely go back. It is worth going for the half board option at 7 euros a day - we didn't but wished we had."

"A pefect place to stay when visiting Nerja. Very clean,it seems fairly new, comfortable beds, breakfast was ok staff very friendly and attentive, a good pool well positioned. The restaurant was a marvellous find not cheap but excellent value, honestly one of the best meals I have had in Spain.somewhere I would go out of my way to visit again. If staying here probably best to have a car as a little way out of town but there are buses and taxis."

lovely and grateful stay in a nice paradise
"we stayed at hotel los arcos last junuary and we loved it, the service is so nice, we were expecting as usual in nerja a common service but in this hotel the stuff is always at your attention and they are just like friend. we stayed on new years eve and they made this elegant dinner and party in its restaurant the braseria iberica which it has become the most popular and exclusive restaurant in town and no that expensive. in general we loved at los arcos, nice and clean service, the rooms are really nice for a 3 stars hotel.... by the way, we were around when a couple from dubbling arrive to the hotel and when they were doing the cheking got so angry and crazy only because they were not having the room number thay have seing when they visited the hotel 2 months before, they were really violant people, thanks god the police came and took them out of the hotel. that was the only bad experience at los arcos. i would recomend every one thinking visiting this nice town, nerja, staying at los arcos."

facism thrives in los arcos
"Nerja is a pretty little town, who's reliance on middle to elderly person's is glaringly apparent. However if you are of a younger disposition do not let this put you off! There are genuinely good people there, with several eatries & bars which you may frequent & enjoy. Should you decide to visit Nerja, AVOID Los Arcos at all cost's it is a habitat of lowlife incumbent's & that's just the owners/ managers.Thieves & liars, and the only thing they are interested in is your money....whether they have earned it .....or in every case not.....Los Arcos is a nefarious vehicle for separating you from your hard earned cash...for ,or in most cases no return! Go there at your peril....The only persons smiling when you checkout will be the scurilous proprietors of this den. You have been warned! Avoid los arcos at all cost's. You will be glad you did!!"

Great Wedding Venue
"Married in this hotel in September. The three brothers who run this hotel made me feel at ease the first time I spoke to them. Nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were clean and very spacious and the superior rooms had lovely balconies. The pool area was well maintained and the hotel bar does some lovely homemade tapas at lunchtime. No need to go any further than the hotel restaurant for great food and service. Twenty two of my wedding guests who stayed here had a wonderful stay. Many thanks to all at this great hotel."

A lovely hotel
"We stayed in the Hotel Los Arcos recently where my sister held her wedding. The hotel is lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. All rooms have balconys (it would be worth spending the extra few euros for the superior room that have lovely big balconys looking over the pool with sea views. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean, though they did not have tea/coffee facilities. Rates include a continental breakfast, but they do have a menu for a full breakfast. The restaurant at the hotel is considered one of the best in Nerja and the food was excellent and good value, where you can sit under cover or outside. The pool area is lovely with views down to the sea. A downhill walk no more than 10 minutes brings you down to the lovely Burriana beach with a good selection of bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again."

lovely spanish run hotel
"we stayed at hotel los arcos in march of this year and were very impressed. we had heard alot of people talking about the Braseria Iberica restaurant which is the hotel restaurant as is rated as one of the best restaurants in nerja - to which we were also extremely impressed by the standard of food, service and value for money. the restaurant is very popular with both spanish and english so it was nice to be in a typically spanish restaurant which was also very popular with the english. The hotel also has a great tapas bar and cafe which was generally very busy again with spanish and english. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and found everything to be very clean, of a high standard and service was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a double superior room overlooking the pool and had a great sized terrace with the rooms equipped with satellite, airconditioning and everything that you would wish for staying in a hotel in nerja. We love nerja and although is only our second time here we will definately be coming back over the summer to stay at this lovely hotel. We would highly recommend both the hotel and also a visit to the Braseria Iberica"

qUIET AND nEW HOTEL
"Just come back from this new hotel and while clean and quiet, would hardly see how it merits such a high rating. Staff were virtually anonymous and were not even available to check us out .We just left the room key on the desk. Not worth the price to have "breakfast" which was a toasted baguette and 2 cartons of jam with coffeee and orange juice.Plenty of places to have a decent breakfast. There is a lot of roadworks outside at present but this will be funished in November. Most of the 17 rooms face East so the large terraces are in the shade most of the day.The satelite Tv does not have Englsh language programmes and bear in mind Spanish Tv is mind -numbing. For eating ,Burriana beach is fine.Rockies especially good value. Nerja however is an awful place with grotty beaches and full of foreigners. Dont go there. Leave it to us to put up with it as we re already making plans for next year there"

Standard of hotel & Restaurant Braseria Iberica
"I stayed at Hotel Los Arcos this summer due to high recommendation from friends in Nerja. Myself and my partner were extremely impressed with the hotel and the service. Hotel Los Arcos is family run and the service is impeccable. We received the best attention possible throughout our stay and found the owners of the hotel extremely friendly and welcoming. Due to the hotel having opened only a few months ago the cleanliness and standard of rooms, pool, cafeteria really were second to none. We were also recommended to try their new restaurant The Braseria Iberica and can honestly say it is the best food we can remember eating for a long time! The meats and fish dishes they specialise in are delicious and the quantity abundant. The price of eating at The Braseria was also extremely good considering the quality of food and service - we were only staying for 7 days and ate there 4 times! I would highly recommend Hotel Los Arcos to anybody thinking of staying there or eating in their restaurant The Braseria Iberia. I cannot fault anything and wouldnt think twice about returning there to spend our holidays - which hopefully will be soon!"
