One of the best hotels in Marbella
"My wife and I have used this hotel on 4 occasions. We have always found the staff friendly, the rooms clean and the breakfast is brilliant"

Good quality hotel
"Spent two nights here in June.
The hotel is modern and clean with good sized rooms; staff are friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a little bit away from the centre of Marbella but it is only a short walk to the beach.
Pool area is well m aintained, with plenty of sun loungers.
Good quality continental breakfast.
I would stay here again."

NH Hotel Nice place and friendly staff but expensive parking
"Stayed for 4 nights recently in June.
nice hotel & location ok if you're driving.
too far to walk to Marbella centre.
Rooms are nice and clean.
Car parking â¬12 per night on top of hotel price which is a bit pricey."

Overall a very good experience.
"Some of the reviews on this hotel described issues that had me worried, but I booked anyway, and I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised.
I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice, clean, well priced hotel inbetween Marbella and Puerto Banus.
Yes, on arrival when the reception realises you have no Spanish there is a frosty-ish atmosphere. However the room was generous, huge bed, with a well stocked designer style bathroom. We stayed there 5 days so the receptionsist warmed up gradually.
Nice buffet style breakfast each morning served until 11:30AM. Our only real complaint was the waitress looking after the breakfast... she was seriosuly frosty to those who didn't speak Spanish. On our last 2 mornings there was a young guy who served in her place and he was very nice.
Location is ok, with a good 20 minute walk if you want to get to central Marbella. Yes the main road is not the quietest of walks into Marbella, but the boardwalk is the nicer alternative. (Taxi about â¬5 / â¬6). Puerto Banus is walkable along the boardwalk including the golden mile, but a much longer walk. (Taxi is â¬8+ and for some reason always about â¬10+ returning). Taxi always arrived to reception in under 5 minutes.
Nearest beach is a 5 minute walk.
Yes there is a building site near the hotel, but there is no activity on-site as it looks abandoned, and I have to say that it did not impact on our stay whatsoever.
The hotel is kitted out very nicely and was immaculate in every respect.
Rates were excellent, and the generous breakfast was included in the rate."

NH Marbella much better than expected
"We spent 3 nights at the NH Marbella, not our first choice but since we booked very late it was still available. So we went having no great expectations only to be pleasantly surprised.
Room was a good size and clean although thin walls meant some noise from our noisy neighbours. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom very well equipped as usual using the shower tends to soak the floor however hard you try to be careful.
Breakfast choice was very good especially continental options - cooked choices were fairly limited.
Pool are was clean although some maintenance required doing. Good do with a few more sunbeds.Prices at pool bar were high a small bottle of water was 3.2 euros.
Parking was available but it cost 12 euros a day but loads of spaces available in nearby streets
Location was OK it took about 10 minutes to walk to the beach , and then a further 15 minutes walking along the seafront to reach the main area of bars and restuarants. Listen out for the frogs as you walk over a small stream feeding into the sea."

Shouldn't Have Four Stars
"I stayed at the NH Marbella for about five nights in August, 2005. This hotel is best suited to people with cars, as to reach the city center it is about a thirty-minute walk along a busy road and there is very infrequent bus service. The hotel had the feeling of being in transition when we visited, in that the staff were not knowledgeable about the area and they also were not familiar with the hotel facilities (eg how to open the balcony door), services (eg where the tour that we booked through the hotel would pick us up in the morning) and surroundings (eg a good restaurant nearby). The included breakfast is expansive but not very fresh-looking, there are few sunchairs by the pool and it is about 500 meters uphill from the beach. Overall, it is not located in a pleasant area and the rooms aren't worth the price you pay. Great bathrooms though!"

Sunlounger problem otherwise ok
"Ive stopped here twice now, in June 2004 and in August 2005. Very pleased with the room and bathroom on both occasions, but like the other reviews have said the balcony is a bit on the small size and there arent many sun loungers available. There is a bit of a building site next door (ground level) but you dont really notice it until you're walking past, so it doesnt really spoil your stay in any way. Its not too far to walk into Marbella. Takes around 30 minutes. I would recomend this hotel even though it does have a few small problems."

A huge disappointment
"Transferred to this hotel from NH Alanda due to overbooking problem. Room was very dark with a small balcony which you could not sit out in as it was so small. 17 Euros daily charge for parking. Swimming pool area extremely poor next door to the car park and a building site with a crane overlooking the pool Limited sun loungers, about 6, bar area unattended. Definitely not a 4*hotel."
