WHAT A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL.
"The location of this lovely hotel is right on the beach and accessible to all amenities, bus stops to almost anywhere. gardens and pools and sun beds great, walk out the gate of the hotel straight onto promenade and beach, nice walk to marina where there are lots of shops and very pretty with little cafe bars where lovely to sit and watch the world go by, beautiful room on 7th floor 738 facing south so sun all day on balcony, so clean and modern and quiet, all the lounges were so comfortable with lovely settees and easy chairs everywhere, in the bar where the entertainment was in the evening was a very nice place to spend the evening, we found all the entertainment each evening very good, singers and groups excellent, flamenco on first night not too impressive but can't have things 100% all the time, some people may have liked it. The staff at the desk were very helpful and spoke reasonably good English so no problem communicating. The food was presented beautifully with so much choice, however fussy you are there was plenty to choose from. New Years eve the hotel made such an effort but somehow we would personally have preferred a buffet style menu, don't want to sound ungrateful because what they did was excellent and included a free bar all evening too, this was all included in the price of the holiday so to the management I give 10 out of 10."

"Just back from a weeks holiday at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the hotel,its great location is hard to beat,large spacious rooms with both sea and pool views were very much appreciated. very clean and comfortable,and mostly helpful and attentive staff. meals were not bad,have had as good if not better at some three star hotels, but on the whole the food was well presented and plentiful. There is a nice spa and gym with all the modern facilities and friendly staff. Would definently return here for another holiday."

This Hotel brought back memories of my y...
"This Hotel brought back memories of my youth backpacking round India. Firstly the restaurant, not able to pick up a plate without cockroaches running over them!! Food was stone cold to the point of the salad being frozen to the serving dishes, this caused several stomach upsets for some of our fellow travellers, the hot food did not present any better as it was chilled!! The restaurant staff were very rude and left you to set your own table and did not allow you to sit at a set table which would have meant work for them. The bar was dark, dismal and the only bar that I have been in where you can order pay and leave the bar without the barman ever acknowledging you were there with a pleasant word, we never heard him speak for two weeks!!!
If you choose to sit in the television room then be prepared to share it with wild life (rats), when I complained it was obvious that the staff were aware of the problem and sauntered along to close the room off!!
Bedrooms were tired, not cleaned during our stay we ended up having to take the toilet paper from the 'cleaners' trolley, the towels were threadbare and on the whole the service was awful.
We paid two and half thousand pounds for this holiday and spent the same again eating out and staying out as the place was the most dismal excuse for a holiday hotel, the entertainment at night was awful and I have been to better wakes!!!
Are holes in the ceiling in the public rooms and damp running up the walls chic for Spanish decoration!!
We did meet several people who were on a return to the hotel and they could not understand why it had gone so quickly down hill, one gentleman cancelled his winter stay of three months after spending three days!!!
We are well travelled and friendly people so we go with an open mind, however this hotel has certainly opened our eyes as to what the British Tourist will accept and what British and Spanish Tour operators think is acceptable - SPAIN is a holiday destination that is on our doorstep and thought should be given to providing what they say in the brochure. "

"Location 1st class, right on the beachfront. Rooms very spacious, cleaned daily. Food, plenty of it, different dishes every night, fresh fish & meat cooked to your liking by the chef. Champagne breakfast in the mornings!! Staff very helpful. Overall a first class holiday & would book again soon."

We found the staff on a whole to be quit...
"We found the staff on a whole to be quite reasonable. Very disappointed with the hotel overall. We were initially put into the smallest room we have ever encountered in a hotel, in the annexe which quite frankly stank, was damp, the heating was on full blast (obviously trying to dry the room out) and the carpets had furry patches.
We asked for a different room in the main hotel and was told they only had one room available, number 101. Although the room was very nicely decorated and spacious we can most definitely advise anyone not to stay in that room. It is virtually on ground level, with an alleyway to the beach at the end of the balcony, which anyone could easily have accessed, making this a very insecure room. There is no natural daylight in this room either as the only view you have is the side of Barclays Bank, Buddha Bar and a Tattooist, also the noise levels at night were horrendous.
There was a delightful array of food, but alas quite inedible as it was all cold. This hotel could not possibly be rated with 4 stars and the annexe, which needs a complete refurb could not possibly be rated at all! Definitely will not go back to this hotel."

Have used this hotel earlier in the year...
"Have used this hotel earlier in the year and was satisfied, but this travel Nov 17th-26th, was I thought not as good as previous holiday.
The reception staff very pleasant. I found that the restaurant staff not as good as previous, it seemed to much trouble to re-lay a table especially if you went down after 8pm.
Also a little price variation at the bar with different bar tenders, the exact same drinks bought cost 5 Euros, next day 3euro 80 ,next day 4euro 20, same drinks all the time so watch out.
Also an extra bottle of wine on bill at end of holiday, 2 bottles charged on the 19th, you do not get a copy of your purchase to argue about, so pay as you have it.
Food was ok, but the queue for a fried eggs was stupid as the unhappy looking show cooking chef put 2 at a time on without a even a face cracking smile to anyone.
Rooms cleaned daily, linen changed as required, chambermaids very pleasant.
All in all the hotel needs a good revamp to brighten it up as it is a poor 4 star."

On arrival we soon found that the staff...
"On arrival we soon found that the staff were not very welcoming we had to wait four hours for our rooms to be ready in the sweltering heat and to top it off the food was cold, European and frankly quite disgusting, we soon found that breakfast was too.
As the week progressed the staff became increasingly nasty especially the two girls who ran the entertainment by the pool and in the evenings they were nasty and stuck up and for what reason because they were absolute rubbish and they constantly flirted and sexually harassed men whose children took part in their substandard activities.
The barmen lacked experience in dealing with customers politely and they always went out of their own ways to serve the Spanish and Germans before they would serve the paying and tipping English speaking guests even if they had been waiting for more than 20 mins.
Overall apart from the surroundings, this hotel cost me the worst holiday of my life so far.

This hotel was a four star but I think i...
"This hotel was a four star but I think it was more like a 3 star, we were in annexe building not the main building. We got stuck in the lift one night for one and a half hours, a lovely couple took notice of our cries for help - the lift stuck between 2 floors and the telephone to ring the reception was broken, luckily we had been watching a fireworks display and got in the lift at 12.45 so there were people around or we could have been in for hours. The couple went to reception and told them we were stuck in the lift, he came back and said that they had told him to tell us to jump up and down while pressing the door opening button we thought he was joking, this did not work so they went back to reception and they said they would call an engineer from Malaga he arrived and got us out.
Also on a night and morning sunbeds had towels on them, so when you came down in the morning you had to search for a sunbed without towels and you had no chance of getting an umbrella, what I could not understand was even at 9.30 there was towels on sunbeds but no people. The hotel staff should take the towels off the sunbeds before 8 o'clock in the morning to give everyone a chance to get a bed and umbrella.
I don't think the staff were bothered about us been stuck in the lift they said the manager would come to our room and speak to us about getting stuck in the lift but he never did, also that lift was in working order the day after but the telephone was still out of order and the night before we came home that lift and another one was out of order, so we had to lug our cases down the stairs. I felt sorry for anyone who was on the fifth floor.
The food was ok, the entertainment was rubbish. But we would not go back to that hotel."

June 27 to July 5th, 2007. First time in...
"June 27 to July 5th, 2007. First time in Triton hotel Benalmadena.
My opinion - this was a very pleasing hotel, staff excellent, reception on arrival excellent.
We where half board, all buffet plenty to choose from and very acceptable, restaurant staff very competent. Nothing to much trouble.
Room was exceptional, we upgraded to superior room, this was superior. Double beds, passage to bedroom, balcony was as big as the bedroom, it overlooked beach, no noise at all.
All in all I cannot say a wrong word about the hotel, but I will be back."

It was lovely
"We stayed here in November and despite being a little concerened about some of the reviews we read we had a lovely time.
Yes the staff could have smiled a bit more but after a few days they were fine once they'd gotton to know you. The only problem I had personally was with the lifts, they were so small. The glass fronted ones were much better.
The room was clean, the pool and gardens lovely and best of all it was peaceful!
We'd deffinately stay there again."

We arrived at the hotel about ten pm on...
"We arrived at the hotel about ten pm on a sun evening, we were in an upbeat and holiday mood, as we had just been married the day before, and were on honeymoon!
Our mood was short lived by the" icy reception we received by the two girls on duty. The bedroom was beautiful clean and spacious. Out side the pool and grounds were fab! But there it ended.
The staff were so rude and even though I spoke in Spanish I could not get civil smile. We were booked for ten days but stopped going to the dinning room about day five! It is such a beautiful hotel its a shame the staff are so rude. We tried to speak to manager but he wasnât available! As I said before we were on honeymoon, we had booked to go to a four star in Benidorm five months before, but were ripped off on internet!
I work in a hotel myself, and you have to remember that all customers are important! If you donât like the job get out! I would not go back to this hotel even for the surroundings! It almost spoiled are most precious time!

"I am a travel agent and after pouring through many brochures decided on the Triton. I was worried after reading some reviews but cannot see what people are moaning about.
The room we was allocated was large, modern and clean
with daily maid service. The pools were excellent however we did often find it hard to get a sunbed if you came down after 10am.
I stayed on a half board basis and thought there was a very good choice of food both for breakfast and evening meal. For me the best asset of the hotel was its location you can walk straight out the hotel gate to the seafront promenade, if you turn left this takes you to the marina there are some very nice bars and restaurants here but you pay over the odds due to the location, we tended to turn right out of the gate and walk for about 5 miuntes along the promenade this brings you to a long row of restaurants all of which have outdoor grills built into the promenade wall, the food
here was excellent and good value for money especially if you like seafood.
Without a doubt i would return back to Benalmadena and this hotel."
