lovely moroccan style hotel
"Stayed here for weeks holiday to get some quality time with my fiance. it was very lovely. I'd describe it as a boutique hotel.
The staff were helpful and friendly any time of day or night. Only 1 or 2 staff spoke English but we always managed to communicate in one way or another.
The room was small but with very nice decoration and furniture. the bathroom was lovely, eastern style with small decorative tiles - enormous shower!
Air con was great - we didn't need it that much in september but i'm sure in the summer months it's essential! Breakfast was plentiful; toast, jam, honey, lots of different type of bread, muffins, cakes, ham, cheese etc.
best location you could imagine. Quiet small street but right in the lovely old town centre of Cadiz. You can walk to the town beach or catch a bus to the large Victoria beach. There are lots and lots of great Tapas bars just 5 minutes from the hotel. the Argentinian hotel just round the corner does delicious beef meals."

Pretty, friendly, central hotel
"My boyfriend and I usually go for very cheap hotels, so paying 100 euros a night is quite a lot for us - but in Hotel Argantonio's case, completely worth it.
It's very central, but not noisy. It's a super pretty hotel, done up in the style of this region's Moorish path. The staff were all lovely, the breakfast was great and the little bar stays open throughout the day (even in the afternoon when it seems like the rest of the city closes)."

Excellent location, service, and value
"Before my husband and I visited Cadiz for five days in April, 2008, we did an extensive search for a hotel that was central, pleasant, very clean, and affordable. We were happy with our choice--Hotel Argantonio.
Finding the hotel the first time was complicated because the historical part of the city in which it is located (el Casco Viejo) is a labyrinth of narrow, one-way streets. Once there, however, we had no problems finding our way around afterward.
The hotel was completely renovated in a tasteful Moroccan style about a year ago and is lovely. Our room was small, but had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, adequate closet space, a mini-frig, arm chair, and a flat screen television which we watched very little as we were more interested in exploring the city. The bathroom was nice--lots of tile and a large shower. The towels were changed daily. Although our room faced the street, we had no problems with noise but there is probably more during summer months when there are more visitors to the city.
The breakfasts were among the best we had during a five-week trip through Spain and Morocco: different kinds of fruit juices, cereals, and flavored yoghurt, an abundant selection of cold meats, hard-boiled eggs, fresh rolls, a good selection of teas and espresso coffee with milk prepared to order.
We also appreciated the free 24 hour Internet service in the lobby. The computer is inside a large, glassed-in booth which provides privacy and a quiet atmosphere.
We found the staff friendly and helpful."

Perfect location for center Cadiz.
"This hotel has a perfect location, in the center of the old town of Cadiz. All sites, shops and restaurantes are just around the corner! The service was super and the staff as well. The room was very clean, shower with excellent pressure :)
The small downside, (but as we seem, as all other hotels in this area), you could hear everything. So bring your earplugs. We stayed in room 305, located on the 3 floor, facing the "back". there are no problems as we saw it ( as stated by others) with the windows not having a wie, because there are no need for it. You keep the blinds shut anywaway, and you only use the room for sleeping, in this beautiful city!"

"The hotel is central to Cadiz highstreets, restaurants, shops and importantly the bus station. The theme and cleanliness of the hotel is superb. Staff are very helpful and gave us some excellent recommendations for the local tapas. The cost of the rooms is quite expensive for its size but I think you are paying for the location. The breakfast was more than adequate and healthy if you choose not to eat the doughnuts. I enjoyed my stay here, clean, and centrally located.
Take a bus to Seville, and to Tarifa. Take your passport to Tarifa and you can get to Tangier in 20mins!"

Great location, terrific hotel
"Living 40km away in the Sierra de Cadiz, we try to get into the city for a couple of nights every year, usually to coincide with the lovely 'Ruta del Tapeo' tapas trail which runs thru July & August. This year we chose Hotel Argantonio and were absolutely delighted with our decision.
The location is excellent - very central for everything the historic old town has to offer, yet extremely quiet. The room (we were in 102) was great with an extremely comfortable mattress on our king size bed, large walk-in shower and big window opening out onto the street. The decorative style, beautifully hand-painted Moroccan-style doors and occasional Arab artefacts, was thoughtful and under-stated. The staff was charming, the breakfast more than sufficient, and the free internet access extremely welcome.
We'd wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit and stay in the historic centre of Cadiz without wanting to break the bank."

Great value little hotel
"We were recommended to this hotel by a friend and would thoroughly endorse the recommendation. Very friendly staff and good central location. If you are a light sleeper, however, avoid booking a front room on a Wednesday - there is a very thorough street cleansing operation at about 4 am!"

a little gem...central location in old town
"We spent 3 nights at this super little hotel tucked away in Cadiz´s old town. (T o find it, park your car at the Pza. Espana and go on foot.) Very central for sightseeing, beach and shops. Long term car parking available 10 mins away at reasonable rates...you won´t need your car in Cadiz.
Hotel is decorated with taste in moorish style. We had a beautiful room and bathroom with decent sized walk -in shower - all very clean and comfortable but I understand some rooms have no outside window ...probably not so nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast ...not a huge choice but adequate.
Very good value for the price.
If you like hotels to be individual instead of out of a box you´ll like this place."
