Rude staff, don't like the British!
"Stayed here for 4 nights bed & breakfast with 2 friends. Pool area is beautiful & the reception area is beautiful. Rooms on the 3 star side were very basic and not as advertised. The rooms we saw when booking were actually pictures of the 4* side, so very deceptive. At first we were given a cramped room for 3 adults with bunk beds in it! It's been about 20yrs since I slept in bunk bed and I didn't intend to do it on holiday! The balcony was almost split in half with a wall separating it and barely big enough for 1 person let alone 3. We politely asked for a better room and we were then swiftly moved to a bigger room with a far better view and balcony by a friendly receptionist, there were 3 and one was rude. Rooms are basic and a double plug socket is hidden behind the 3rd bed which was a bit inconvenient. No fridge or drink making facilities, we had to keep our bottles of water in the bath filled with cold water to keep them cool! Beds were comfy though and our balcony was a sun trap. Staff.....hmm what can I say. Restaurant staff were wonderful, some of the bar staff were rude....very rude! One of the security guards on at night was horrendosly rude...he even told us to "go to Jamaica next time" because we were listening to Bob Marley! We were told to go to bed at midnight and also to go out onto our balcony one at a time! Not a great way to advertise your business or provide good customer service. Basically if you are with friends, under the age of 50 or British....the staff here will treat you like crap. We felt like we weren't good enough to stay here yet all of the elderly visitors or foreign ones were treated like royalty! The food for breakfast was OK, there was a large selection but you literally have to do laps of the restaurant to get what you want as its all so spaced out! Must have walked 2 miles just getting my breakfast over 4 days! The cleaners do a wonderful job, can't knock how clean this hotel is, just a shame how the staff treat you. The other visitors (non English) here were also very strange, they just stared at us like we had 2 heads, not the hotels fault but the whole experience was just plain weird. I've travelled a fair bit and this was by far the worst and the weirdest experience I've ever encountered on holiday. We spoke with numerous other English visitors and they all agreed the treatment here was just shocking. They will do everything to protect their shocking reputation including replying to each and every review anyone leaves, it will be interesting to read their response to this one! Would not recommend this place in a million years! Seriously... If it wasn't for the fact that us 3 women were not going to let anything spoil our time here, we would have just packed up and left after the first nightmare day here. Avoid like the plague!"

Good, clean and friendly hotel
"We were a group of 4 couples and all of us thought a great 4star hotel for the money, staff were very friendly and helpful, great setup for the bar areas on top with a nice breeze, rooms were reasonably nice and what You expect from a Spanish 4 star !!! Food again was what we expected and I would give a 7/10 for, none of us really had any complaints. Santa suzzanna/malgrat de mar is a good resort, spent a few nights at the Robin hood bar which had a good karoake and staff, also recommend the Mexican restaurant on the front, wish we would have gone in there earlier for a drink as setting is perfect right on the beach ! Not worth it!
"Hotel is not worth it the bar staff are so unfriendly to English people they seem to get on with every one else but us. The food is not great and every day you have to queue for breakfast and dinner every day the dinning room is not big enough for the hotel. And be warned if you arrive in the morning but go back with a night flight you will not be looked after through out that day. "

Nice, clean, cheap hotel
"We spent in the hotel a week from 25.6. We paid about 156 pounds for a week per person with half board booked with travelrepublic. We were amazed what we got for that money. Even we stayed in Park side of the hotel - 3 stars- we could use facilities of Luna Club 4 stars part - gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi fo free. The food was tasty, various, drinks included only with breakfast, paid with a dinner. But Carefur supermaket is 10min. away from the hotel. (turn right from the hotel, before main road, turn left and 200m straight ahead is the supermarket. I must admit a room was a bit small, but come on how long do we need to spent in a room? There was lovely, long and wide beach 10min. walk going left from the hotel. There is a TV in the room, but no fridge. It's easy acces to Barcelona either from Santa Sussana or Malgrat De mar train station, cost 6,70 euro return ticket, if I remember correctly. It takes 15 min. walk either way. Botanic Garden in Blanes is must do as well as Marineland which is a dolphinarium with waterworld attractions on one place, cost 25euro, a bus operates for free from few points in Santa Susana and Malgrat. Buy your ticket before a boarding. So if you looking for an active holiday, but with quiet nights away from noisy night life, Luna Park or Luna Club is the right place for you."

Very clean, great value for money hotel.
"We stayed 4 star for 5 nights (couple both in our early thirties) and we were very impressed with this hotel. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable clean bedding and maid service everyday. The hotel grounds were also spotless, especially the garden at the rear of the hotel, a great place to sunbathe. The food was ok, breakfast was plentiful with all the usual cereals, toast, cooked breakfast, plenty of fruit etc. Dinner was ok, plenty of it, and always fresh. The best thing about this hotel is the location as it is a minute walk up a side street away from the main road, we did not hear any noise at all. I would say this hotel is great for couples and anyone wanting a peaceful base for their holiday. Will return to this hotel."

great value for money
"My wife and I, in our 50's, have just spent 5 nights here. Having read reviews I was a little concerned as to what it would be like. It was fine! The room was excellent and clean, the pool and area around it was v. good, the staff were superb in every way. They let you have use of a beach towel for free that you can change as many times a day as you want. The food was typical for this type of hotel but there was plenty of choice and even those who only want fry-ups were catered for. The hotel and club part was mainly filled with Dutch, Belgian and German visitors who were there for the same reason as us - sun and beach - and it was no problem. My only criticism would be that the rooms are poorly noise insulated, so don't forget ear plugs for sleeping. We would go back again and certainly feel that at £16 per night each for half board with maid service, etc. there is no room for complaint."

"my husband and I stayed here an it was lovely, it`s very German but at just £13.25 per night half board we could live with them.We booked through superbreak.com, the rooms were clean and spacious the food was plentiful and tasty with lots of variety. well worth the visit. not quite sure how anyone could anyone could complain about it."

excellent for the price
"Me and my partner both in our 20's stayed in this hotel and considering we only payed £198 half board for a week for us both via alpharooms.com we thought it was pretty good, beds were comfy, room service everyday, we were on top floor so no noise from above and next door were quiet. Food wasnt bad at all, breakfast was more catered for the germans with their nuclear sausages and dripping bacon but you had pancakes, eggs, brioche, bread, fruit, cheese etc too evening meals were better, lots of choice, different pasta, meat, and traditional dishes (and chips) staff were very friendly especially the guy on reception check in and out was v.efficient. had a outdoor pool and heated indoor pool (in luna club the 4* sister hotel which adjoins luna park via reception and a ramp) which were both clean, and a gym. Location was good, right on the edge of both malgrat and santa susanna. ideal if wanting a beach and city break as barcelona is 1hr 10 min away on the train from malgrat or st.susanna which are both a 20 min walk in either direction for 6.10 euros return. Eating out is a bit crap as most restaurants serve the same, think its just all frozen and reheated but i think if you go up the side roads you might find somewhere that actually makes the food from scratch! all in all an enjoyable holiday!"
