Unlike Ronseal its doesn't do exactly what it says on the tin
"My 80 year old disabled grandmother, my 20year old sister and i (24) went over new year to Lloret de Mar. Previous to booking as you would expect i checked that the place we would stay would be disability friendly. We flew into Barcelona airport and got a rid to our desitination with resort hoppa. Well when i say to our destination it was actually i lift to Lloret de mar and rather long walk with heavy suitcases from our appartment. The driver unloaded our bags and left us on the street with the only directions being over there that street and about 20metres down. So off we went my gran on her rolator (3 wheeled walking frame) and me with two heavy suitcases and a hand luggage bag and my sister with two hand luggage and her heavy case. We were obviously exhausted following our early start and two hour journey on the plane followed by the hour and a half journey by bus so walking any distance proved a chore for my gran. We walked looking pretty lost down the street we later found out was called San Pedro and could not find our apartments anywhere, We stopped and asked a few people where the Magnolia apartments where but nobody seemed to know, eventually we found a girl who spoke good english and at last she directed us to where we needed to go! So we followed the directions but still could not find our apartments, we then asked in the shops around about and were told were they thought the entrance to the apartments were. I should mention the apartments had no sign or otherewise to indicate that indeed they were the magnolia apartments. So eventually we find the door and push it but its locked, we look inside and there is no reception and no information on the door, by chance my sister looks at the pieces of paper she can see stuck up inside and sees a number for the night watchman so with no idea what else to do we rang him. The night watchman spoke little english but understood we were ringing about magnolia apartments and arrived around 5minutes later to let us in. He proceeded to help with our suitcases but to my confusion he used the stairs. Yes the stairs!!!! he motioned at us to follow and so we did, while he took car of the suitcases my sister and i had to help my disabled gran up the stairs and carry her rolator up them also! I thought did i get confused when booking here i thought there was a lift. we navigated the 26stairs safely despite there not being a banister (handrail) the whole way to the top and found ourselves passing the lift. We got into our room and he showed us the master bedroom and where my sister and i were to sleep! My sister and i were to sleep in bunk beds! The balcony is little more that a railing around the sliding doors and the master bedroom has only a bedside cabinet to accompany the double bed and kitchen chair, this meant my gran having to share our wardrobe with us, fortunately for us my sister and i were happy to live out of suitcases for the week. The apartment overall was clean however the flaws began to appear when we went to use the bathroom and found that there was infact very little toilet paper. We were provided with towels and bed linen but only three small cups and 2 glasses and plenty of plates. My sister and i then went out and got the essentials from the local shops and when we returned we discovered our need for bug killer as there were ant like creatures accompanying us in our bathroom! Then it came time to freshen up before dinner and my sister and i both wanted to have a shower after the long journey. Well the shower was definitely fresh as the both of us had freezing cold showers and it seemed hot water was going to be a luxury we were not to enjoy however thankfully the water the next day was roasting hot! The only problem was the shower head which was sellotaped on was now hanging off and by the middle of our stay was off completely! So that was the inside of the room where we stayed. Then came our neighbours! They were truly there to enjoy themselves but the problem was the walls are paper thin and they kept us awake to the small hours! The first night we rang the watchman as he didnt seem to be around and when he arrived showed him the phrase in our phrase book that explained there was too much noise and off he went and ended the noise! Then new years eve came and the noise started up again with people standing out in the corridor this went on til 530am and since it was new years eve we didnt complain and just took it for granted that this was to be expected on this night throughout the world. We awoke on new years day and went to the stairs to go out for breakfast and were greeted by a pool of vomit on the stairs which remained there even to the day we left! The biggest issue for us was the fact there was in fact a lift but it did not work! and the lack of support from the person in charge to control the noise and to ensure good hygiene! I dont think that to expect cleanliness and gettin the things that were advertised is too much to ask! i therefore do not recommend these apartments at all! Lloret de Mar is a lovely seaside resort and in itself makes a lovely holiday location however if you wish to have a peaceful relaxing lift working stay avoid Magnolia apartments at all costs!"

"My daughter and her two friends (all 18-year olds) were on their first independent holiday abroad. They were told to go to the Hoppa desk in arrivals at Barcelona. There isn't a Hoppa desk. Luckily the driver came into arrivals and called for Hoppa passengers. They handed over their travel voucher and he took them to Lloret de Mar where he then left them on the side of the street and told them their accommodation was just down the road and round the corner. He then drove off. They dragged their suitcases down the road to discover that he had left them at Hostel Magnolia, not Magnolia Apartments. They got a taxi to Magnolia Apartments to discover it all locked up. They then walked the streets until 4am when they found a hotel which had a room. Next day they found that there is an office not far from their apartments where, had they known to go there, they would have seen a note in the window asking them to phone a number to get the key. They were then taken to an apartment which was not where Magnolia Apartments is, according to the web site. The apartment was okay until the aircon started leaking and drenched one of the beds. The owner didn't attend to the problem promptly. Conclusion: don't ever use 2 Can Travel."
