"I have just returned from lloret with my university, we stayed in this hotel during lloretfest and to be honist it was not a great experience. Firstly the "security guard" who stands in reception all day telling people to be quiet and put their shoes on was ignorant and rude. Secondly it was full of hundreds of oap's 24/7. We was only bed and breakfast but the breakfast was appauling (if you managed to get some). Lookily we was only in the hotel to literally sleep and get changed so was not to bad. The worst bit came when upon checking out we was informed that we would not get our security deposit back due to a hole in the door. We went to the room to see for ourselves and noticed a slight split in the door frame where it seems the adhesive has come off. They would not listen to us and so we lost out. Appart from that the rooms are ok and the pool is ok. Great location for beach and local clubs and pubs (good old queen vic is across the road). "

not to bad
"I went to this hotel with a very open mind after reading several reports. Traveled with my partner and found this hotel to be fine. Arrive at about half 6 to be welcomed and check in quickly, were not told where any thing was apart from room on first floor. The only thing a would say is the food is not up to much if english, we only ate twice in hotel. Drinks at bar well priced, even though for some reason for every pint the other half paid for i got a free half most days, Pool not suitable for young kids as the shallow end is still waist high, and pool area got no sun till late afternoon. The hotel is well situated for the town and the beach, only about 10 mins walk. Room clean and maid visited every day with new towles, wall are thin so could hear next door but never got distured too much"

Don't even think about it
"When we arrived at hotel it looked good. First night our room was horrible it was at the far end of hotel you thought you were in a hostel also looking out at cement wall. Never got any sleep the first night with young ones partying, walls were paper thin so you could hear everything. Moved us next day to a different part of hotel top floor don't do lifts so was exhausted. Staff very rude don't think I seen a smile on their faces the whole time I was there except for a couple of the bar staff. When asking anything if they didn't want to know they just shrugged their shoulders or walked away. Any one Fully inclusive had to go down into this stuffy wee bar down stairs from 7pm--10pm if you wanted to stay upstairs you had to have a v.i.p ticket. Fully inclusive stopped at 10pm. When we were there it rained and downstairs got a bit flooded eveyone was sent upstairs but they wouldn't let us use the main bar we were all made to queue at this small bar with only one member of staff , even though there was staff at the main who were not busy and they never came over to help. ther was a lot if complaints about this but head staff didn't seem to care. This happened a couple of times. Entertainment was awful. The only good thing about the holiday was signing out knowing we were going home and didn't have to go bavc to hotel. "

dont stay here
"i would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel,my partner and myself stayed here in february, it was occupied by hundreds(no exageration) of oaps, we were placed on a corridor on our own...lovely you might think...until...a group of 50. 13 and 14 year olds interrupted the peace, shouting screaming and knocking on our door n running off, they left after 3 days..then another lot turned up. as u can guess we asked to be moved,i mean why put one couple on a corridor that was going to be filled with rabbling teenagers all week.the response we got from the staff was..they are just young people, yes granted they were young but it was like a circus on the corridor, they moved us into a different room on the top floor, why not just put us there in the first place, the room was alot better standard and alot cleaner...and quieter. the food wasnt upto much and most of the time the meats that were served were still bloody and under cooked, i know some people like their food rare but this was practically still alive.this hotel is no good for families unless your children like ballroom dancing and aerobics for the elderly. needless to say we wont be staying there again."

"Before we came to Llorett we read a lot of reviews and all of them were horrible! we were going on a girls holiday all single just looking to have a wikid time and thats exactly what we got! the weather was always sunny (rained once in the evening) the bars and resturants were serving amazign food and staff were always so friendly (sometimes a bit too flirty hehe) overall we had an amazing holiday and would defenatly go back. The hotel rooms were very large and balcony view amazing, as we were right in front of the two outdoor pools which was always nice to come out and peer over. The only down fall to the holiday was the beach was stoney, however we just sun bathed and layed a towel so it didnt really bother us that much anyway. PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS OF THIS HOTEL IT WAS WIKID! and we all loved every moment of it. the best club was 'londoner' which had a wikid dj who played all the latest tracks perfet to get ur jam on to hehe... take a look n see for yourselves :)"

"We arrived with an opened mind about this long weekend break, due to the low cost we paid. The reception staff are rude and unhelpful. The hotel was 90% occupied by foreign teenagers (15-19 years), who caused mayhem 24/7 throughout the hotel. The food was disgusting, (not through personal choice) but was targetted at the foreign teenagers accomodating the hotel. There was very little choice. Upon informing the Manager / Reception we were leaving 2 days early, no questions were asked as to why, other than leave your keys !! I would never ever return to this place again !!"

"On arrival the hotel seems impressive. However, was initially booked into a Red room on E floor which had no balcony and directly above engineering plant unit which made a loud continuous humming noise. There was also a large tree and shrubbery outside the window making the room dark. The window to this room was not secure. The following day our room was changed on my insistence and complaint. This was dealt with efficiently and the staff were sympathetic. However, the administration was poor. Two days later we had security questioning who we were in our new room. A further four days later, the room key was given to a further guest who came into our room. On tackling reception, I was told another guest having the key was "impossible". Again, I inisisted this is what happened and they further investigated and apologised. Our new room was clean, had a decent balcony and very good air conditioning. The double glazing was effective at blocking outside noise but redundant as the walls were paper thin for inside noise. Our deposit was refunded at the end of the stay after a security guard had looked at the room and the young man who checked us out was very helpful. It is a shame he didn't deal with the administration as our problems would not have occurred. The food is at best inedible. Breakfast consists of pastries with what seems like the same tray of warm hard boiled eggs, greasy cooked hams, cereal, cold meats/cheese. Dinner is a complete joke with salads, overcooked meats, very few hot potato or rice dishes. We ate dinner twice in the nine day holiday. This hotel is in the 'armpit' end of Lloret. It is noisy, filled with teenagers and has no charm. There are many 3 star hotels in the resort which are better and offer the same facilities. Maybe it is due to the size of the hotel that lets it down. I would NEVER book a holiday here again regardless of how inviting the price."

"The hotel would not give our deposit back at the end of our stay, when there was nothing wrong with our room and they wouldnt even check this. I asked if they could go and check it, so i could get my deposit back soon, as i had to leave to catch my plane and they kept saying they wouldnt, so now i have lost my deposit and cant find an email to ask the hotel to give it back to me. I felt they were very rude and unhelpful and the overall hotel service and noise was the worst i have been to and when the maids came and cleaned our room they would not give warning before entering, which invaded our rights to have prevosy and when i asked to speak to a manager about geting my deposit back as i needed that to get lunch that day, they kept telling me to back off and sit down and would sort out another hotel member, it seemed to me they wasnt botherd about me as i was english - i would not stay back again!"

"As we arrived we could just tell by the surroundings and the attitude of the rude staff that this was not the holiday for myself and partner. Once we found our room was devestated to find we were overlooking a a type of air conditioning unit. Anybody had easy access to our balcomy and room. The hotel was full of youngsters playing loud music throughtout the night. We found cigerette burns on my our bedding as soon as we arrived! The food did not in anyway look inviting so ate out for all meals and after 1 night of stay in this hotel was enough and moved to a alternative hotel down the road. WOULD NOT RECOMEND OR EVER GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN."

"Visited with children and distinctly unimpressed. Rooms often not cleaned and noise levels constant throughout the night. Food lukewarm and bland. Hotel staff unfriendly and unwelcoming. Resort tacky and not safe for young girls. Very disappointing would never go back."

"After arriving to the Don Juan Hotel after a long journey we were told we didnt have a meal on our first night. Were also greeted by a rude manager. We went to our rooms which were small and basic. this was ok as we did not spend much time in our rooms as we were on a shortbreak holiday on a schooltrip. The hotel was full of pensioners and groups of schoolchildren like ourselves. We were aged between 16-18. The walls in the hotel room were paper thin and we heard quite a lot of noise coming from next door. The food in the hotel was not exactly edible and so after paying for half board we had to find meals elsewhere. We went out of season which was a big factor to our trip and we found in the summer months it would have been a lot more enjoyable. The indoor swimming pool was warm but not the cleanist. Overall this hotel is not the best but is basic and the rooms are cleaned everyday. I wouldnt even recommend it for a short break . and people were climbing over my balcony and i was not impressed in the slightest.the only good thing i can say about the hotel was where is was situated, as it was in the middle of all the entertainment in the small town. but i would never think of returning to this hotel EVER again! and also my radiator broke! and we also arrived to a breadroll lying underneath the radiator! NOT IMPRESSED!! "

"After missing our return flights we returned to Lloret (pronounced ya -ret) and booked into the Don Juan hotel. It has an impressive reception area consisting of marble and the reception staff were more than amicable. We were allocated rooms in Rojo (Red) and the rooms were of a good standard and were clean. The hotel was very pleasant on the whole. This hotel mainly caters for the elderly, so if you are in your prime - you should avoid as it is dancing and bingo every night!! We still had fun and more lively music was played later on. There is a smaller bar near the entrance. The food here is nothing short of absolutely awful, so I would advise eating out even if you have paid for FB. I'm not exaggerating either, Breakfast is the same sordid affair every day. if you must eat the potatoes are lovely (small contradiction there) and the cold meats and cheeses are ok. If the breakfast was better, and other meals, I would have given a 7/10. Excellent choice of pools and only 5 mins from the beach."
