a long hike
"Stay 28/05/14 for 7 nights. Hotel clean, bedding changed every day. Food was rubbish, tried breakfast twice and ended up going out for breakfast ,very poor choice in the evening. Shower allowed water to go all over the floor so had to use hand towels to soak up water. More Spanish people stopping here then English. Night life not very good"

"Itâs a very friendly hotel, rooms standard but clean. The food was great, had good variety also had themed nights Chinese, Italian, ect. The staff very helpful friendly. Bar staff great sense of humour speak English. The only thing is itâs a bit out of the way, but has a lovely quiet beach ,is more in le calla than Benidorm itself. There are regular buses into town though which are cheap enough, or itâs a great walk along the beach, if your fit enough, speaking of this the hotel is also on a steep hill regulars to hotel which they have many going back each year by the way call it cardiac hill, so just be warned. All in all its a great hotel if you're: 1. Fit enough to climb that hill and 2 you donât mind being so far out of the way from new town. It gets a thumbs up from me anyway as Iâm in to nightlife and peace and quiet to."

"I stayed with my wife for 7 days. The hotel was clean. We found that even though the weather was a bit cold the hotel and our room was always warm. The food was reasonable but I feel would have been too much for a 2 week stay. There was a bus that took you into Benidorm this cost 1 euro. The slight hill to the hotel was not to bad but could prove a bit of a struggle for anyone disabled. The entertainment of a evening was a bit poor could have been better."

"What a bargain break...£199 full board including flights (BMIbaby) for a 3 night/4 day break over the Xmas period. The weather was nice spring style. The hotel food was a bit predictable....chips with everything even breakfast, not too well prepared either, but overall OK for hotel food. Service was really good. even had a "picnic" box for return home. A bit out of the way for nightlife, easy to travel to it though, with the bus (number 5) close and only costing 1 euro. Taxi back was 5 euros. Transfer from airport by resorthopper.com and this cost 60 Euros return (£41). Travellers...Male 57 Female 56."

"Travelled for a short break in between Xmas and the New Year. Weather like a warm spring day. The hotel is at the far end of Benidorm, so for night life, a bus had to caught (number 5) costing 1 Euro. Return by taxi cost 5 Euros, but well worth both costs. The food is typical hotel fare.....chips with EVERYTHING even at one of our breakfasts. They were the cardboard type too. The reception service was of a good standard, and virtually all the staff spoke excellent English. The hill to the hotel looked a bit daunting at fist sight, but it wasn't too bad. Travellers....Myself and my wife (57 and 56). Shall do Benidorm again next year, but may try another hotel."

"Just popped in for 3 days while in Cala at BB RATE. Lovely atmosphere and clean should be a 4 star hotel. Breakfast presentation was excellent. Would recommend to anyone. Has all facilities and a comfortable feeling. Not generally found in most hotels. Good luck. I will be with you again shortly. Adios"

champagne for breakfast !!!!!!!!!!
"Visited here on 20th jan.on a late deal just for a week. Great hotel very informal ,friendly, spotlessly clean.....just cannot fault it. the location has to be your own choice though,it is at the very very end of Poniente, the farthest you can go .May not suit anyone looking for nightlife. It is very quiet and so much more cleaner than the levante side and not commercialised at all.The beach is lovely..The hotel is on rather a "steep" slope but we managed it !! 5minutes from the hotel is a good bus sevice which takes you a good run into poniente for 99cents. Reliable sevice every 10 minutes ther e and back. Forgot to say ......the food at the hotel was full board and it was fantastic every meal.. PS. the weather was good too !! wern`t we the lucky ones !!!!!"

"Stayed in October 2004. On arrival felt it was perhaps a little 'older' looking (although perhaps fairly typical of 60/70's Benidorm hotels). The central staircase in particular would benefit from being modernised with all those hefty bolts being replaced in the panels. After a couple of days of relaxation we however really began to warm to the place. The food was reliable, with lots of good main courses (perhaps more limited sweets). The room was comfortable and clean. There was a very relaxing pool area with lots of shade if desired. Perhaps it's best for those looking for a quieter time although the main town is just around 10 mins by bus or 30 mins on foot. There is a very good cake/coffee shop nearby (opposite the bus stop) and supermarkets are within a few minutes walk. Compared to the ultra modern but extremely clinical 'Grand Bali', nearby, the Torre Dorada is very cosy, relaxed and I don't think you could go far wrong here."

Can't wait to go back
"Have just returned after a week at the Hotel Torre Dorada. We enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, it was spotlessly clean and we were made to feel very welcome. I have to disagree with a review made by one gentlemen about the food. We had a buffet meal each meal time with as much as you wanted, there was something there to suit everyone, continental as well as egg and bacon for breakfast, juices and hot drinks, lunch was hot and cold meals and evening meal the same with an added theme night. One night it was oriental, arab, chinese, russian and so on. I have to say that anyone who couldn't find something from these must be very fussy eaters indeed, as there was always several choices as well. We had a fantastic panoramic view of benidorm and was in the old part away from all the clubs and nightlife but only 200 yards from a bus to take you there very cheaply. Ideal for relaxing. Only downfall is the hotel is situated on a slight hill so not for people with disabilities for walking. Can't say not for the elderly as we watched several speed past us at quite a speed no problem. All in all a very enjoyable stay and one definately to be remembered for the future."

A great hotel.
"We have been to the Torre Dorada for the last 4 years we will not go any where else in Benidorm, we have made some great friends there over the years. The hotel is lovely and clean, the food is great, if you which to go out for the day you can order a pack lunch the night before, all the staff are very pleasant and the entertaiment is good, there is a childrens play ground at the back of the pool area. The hotel is on a steep hill but you do get use to it. We are going again this year, can't wait."

"My husband and I spent 7 days at Torre Dorada....7/2/04 to 14/2/04. It was wonderful!! Nothing about the hotel could be faulted. Lovely staff, spotlessly clean, great food and a brilliant atmosphere. We are far and widely travelled and would go back to Torre Dorada before any other hotel we have used. This was our first visit to Benidorm but certainly not the last. But only in this hotel and this resort! The journeys to and from the airport were terrible, so I would advise no-one to use Airtours or any travel company attached to them. Take a taxi if you do!! Thanks to all the staff at Torre Dorada for giving us such a wonderful week! See you all soon. Roger & Janet Rowson."

All I could have wished
"My wife and I have just returned after spending 6weeks at this hotel and enjoyed every minute. Everything was first class. The pleasant Staff, the cleanliness, the food and the entertainment. We did visit other Servi Group Hotels and all appeared to have the same high standard."
