"Stayed first week in October. Staff couldn’t have done anymore for you vey efficient . Rooms were immaculate and the shower room is first class as no bath to climb over . Balcony is huge with table and chairs. Liked the electric safe which was FOC and fridge . Air conditioned worked very well . Breakfast was great with chef cooking fresh eggs and bacon . Large selection of quality foods to choose from . Dinner was also brilliant with fresh cooked food made by chef to order. I have stayed in many hotels in Benidorm and in my opinion this has been the best one yet."

"This is our second visit as we enjoyed our last one so much. First class rating in every department and great location. Best showers have ever had anywhere. A 3 star hotel that we think is better than most 4 stars! Have already booked again for October. "

Only one word BRILLIANT
"Stay 12 to 24 October 2013. Have stayed in this Hotel many times since the early 70s. Yes standards have changed as have the times, Now not compulsory to get dressed up (smart) for evening meal, But still do not allow vest (great) Hotel is Very Clean and Tidy, Staff are Polite Helpful and friendly. Nice Bar area extends onto the front of the Hotel, (This winter 2 for 1) help with the budget. Nice pool area now a sun terrace on top of the rest area (reached by a lift one floor) Rooms comfortable and cleaned every day, Towels changed, bed made. Dinning room well lay out, Choice of food excellent hot and tasty, Something for all tastes, and plenty of choice (even the hardened Brit can get pie & mash on some days) 2 minutes to Beach, 5 minutes to all the night life if you want it, (So far enough away if you don't) (easy access to everywhere, To those that think Benidorm is Blackpool with the sun YES it can be be then again you don't have to go to the idiot sections and can be avoided all together. Have a nice walk along the front at night from one end to the Old Town(Long walk but worth it) Nereo have tried others but in my opinion this is the best, Looking forward to returning. If it has a downside its the main road outside can be noisy at times. And to sum up its not for those that want nightlife and noise, It tends to be full of older persons and Spanish "

"Stayed in this hotel 16th to 23rd oct, found it to be in the ideal spot, indoor market smack opposite, shops and bars close by,beach and the nightlife just a few minutes stroll away, the hotel was spotless, food was good with a good choice and was always hot [unless you are a salad fan]staff were very friendly and helpfull, room was very good beds and laundry changed every couple days, we found the Nereo to be one of the best hotels in Benidorm and we will back there in the near future."

"Just returned from a week at the Nereo at a very good price. The hotel is a typical 3 star hotel but we were lucky that the room we were in had just been refurbished and the 1st floor sunbathing area was new and had just opened. The staff were very good despite one day not getting our room cleaned which required two reports to the reception and a letter to the manager to get some action. The food was OK and always a reasonable selection when we dined at 8pm, but we found it rather strange at breakfast as you had to set your own table and on an evening you had to find your own table."

"First time in Benidorm. The Hotel was excellent, food, pool area, staff we couldn't fault it, we would recommend this hotel to anyone. Lots to do and see all within walking distance. Levante beach 400 mtrs, the local open market is on Tues, and Sunday, lots of bargains to be had, just follow the crowd and you will get there no probs. If you miss breakfast there is a good cafe called Marianos just round the corner and an excellent karaoke bar too thatâs if you like that sort of thing. Would definitely go back to the hotel Nereo. Good holiday."

"After reading other reviews of this hotel saying how good it was and the fact that Thomson gave it a Gold Medal. We were very disappointed as it did not live up to our expectations. We thought the food was greasy and therefore did not enjoy any of the meals. 18 of us went to this hotel thinking that there would be a lot of dancing, there was only line dancing, and not sequence dancing as was stated in Portland brochure. We were told there was dancing in hotel Orange which was a taxi ride away. We all dressed up one night ready for dancing where we found the programme had changed and it was a Country and Western night. There was only one decent hotel nearby for dancing and that was the Calypso. We all wished we had stayed there instead of the Nereo. If you enjoy good food and like Ballroom dancing then DO NOT go to the Nereo."

"We stayed here for one week with our two young boys. We loved this hotel, food was good, and rooms were cleaned daily & clean towels every day. The only downside was entertainment was poor all over by 11.30pm, and sun beds at pool had more towels on them than people, lucky for us our kids love the beach which is very close. The bar staff were very helpful more than could be said for the grumpy restaurant staff. We would return again. "
