" In Bedrooms there where very bad smell coming from bathroom ,rooms cold at night told staff no action was taken, beds was very uncomfortable, meals average didn't get in early food was suppose to be 4 star not a chance at all snack at times was a bag of crisps . all in inclusive till 11pm then drinks to be paid for.entainment staff was excellent worked very hard but the entertainment was virtually non-existent 12pm everything finished. WiFi had to pay for it , said in brochure it was free no sky TV in hotel bad language from young ones and doors banging. one good thing we had bars and beach near by to watch sky and free WiFi and we won't go again "

"We are pensioners who are not the "Benidorm type" we went because the deal suited us and we're so pleasantly surprised It was great the animation people made our holiday all day every day there was a competition goin on and it was such a laugh Jay kept it all going and Monica is such a friendly lady we thought the two of them were the best ever and so did everyone else we spoke too hotel was spotless and Moët of the staff were lovely special mention to Jay,Monica, Carlos, Julia, big dark fellow in dining room and the lady who cleaned our room. Down side for me was the location of the pool( too many stairs) and having to pay for WiFi. And some of the bar staff were a bit abrupt. See you all soon guys"

cant wait to go again
"Stayed here in September 2013, although its a bit out dated the situation of the hotel is fab, its very clean and its a stones throw to the beach, and a short walk to the English bars, the food is fantastic and we ordered picnics to take on the beach with us and they were very good, we were on the 16th floor which was a bit to high for us but the view was good, we went out every nite to the English bars so only used the hotel as a base, we are already planning on going back this September to this hotel, would highly recommend it. "I booked this hotel in January of this year for my daughter and grandchildren. On arrival I was given 2 rooms on the 15th floor despite the fact that I had requested lower floors due to the fact, that one of my grandchildren was only 3 years old. The lifts were a continual nightmare, sometimes having to wait 5 minutes or more. The food was not up to standard, and if you are vegetarian the only option is to live on lettuce and tomatoes, of which I did. We were all inclusive so we had drinks included, when we went to order drinks if they were more than two we were refused, and had to explain that there was 6 of us, so sometimes we had to make a couple of journeys to the bar. The rating for this hotel is no way 4 star it should be down graded to two star. I found the staff had a take it or leave it attitude. I would say to anyone do not book this hotel. I could not wait to leave and would never consider going back."

Keep well away from this Hotel
"My husband and I have just returned from this hotel. we had booked 10 nights all inclusive starting om May 15th. We had stayed at this hotel twice before and loved it, we recommended it to many friends, we were returning customers. On arrival we were told that our room was on the 15th floor(The only other option was the 17th floor. We are a young at heart couple in our early 50s)), we had booked this hotel in early February requesting a low floor with and a sea view. This should have started bells's ringing. Well our room consisted of a single room with a double bed pushed up against the patio door, one would have to move the bed to open the door. The bathroom was like a coffin, the bath was the size of a baby bath. The sea view consisted of a view of drunken stags throwing themselves all around the pool area screaming to their hearts content. The following morning I got a plate of chips thrown on top of me. Now for the best bit: The food, oh my God: It looks good, prepared beautifully, in fact what they must be doing is leaving it around for days then making it look good. Day 3 of our holiday, I started feeling sick, as did my husband. We spent the rest of our holiday in this cell of a bedroom throwing up and in the toilet. Can you just imagine this in a tiny room. There is no point complaining to the staff as they won't listen or care. I just wanted to go home, all we could do was sip water as not to dehydrate. We started to come round a bit on the 24th the day before we were due to come home, as we had not eaten for several days we went up to Vincent's Plaza for a bite to eat. It was like Manna from heaven. Thank you Helen. We arrived home on the 25th and have since been to the doctor who diagnosed us with food poisoning. I am so angry about all of this, we had saved up to go on holiday, I am personally writing to management about our stay, they won't give a damn anyway as do the staff. TIP: Do not stay in room 1516. This hotel has gone to the dogs, it was great , fantastic, I will never go back there. I feel that they now only want to cater for drunken stags and hens. Well they can have them, but they will not get returning loyal customers back. I heard that a new manager is there, maybe that is the problem. The staff are rude and surly, not like before. So beware , only go there if you want food poisoning and a miserable time. Never again, disgusting."

"ONA SOL HOTEL LOS DALMATOS. BENIDORM This hotel is set back in the 60âs and is totally outdated. On arrival we were allocated a room with a double bed. (for 2 men on holiday and not gay) but were told that no other room was available. Then suddenly we were told that if we upgrade at a cost of £220 we can have a twin room. This was done to other people in other groups as well. Certainly a money making scam, and even after upgrade with an all inclusive tariff you still need to pay for certain drinks. This is NOT a hotel to be recommended with outdated furniture and basic food and drinks and NOT a 3 or 4* Hotel as described try a 1* is nearer the mark. "

Fantastic for families, going back next year.
"We just got back from a 10 day holiday at the Los Dalmatas. Although the rooms and the hotel itself could do with a little updating, it was spotlessly clean. Our room was changed every day (beds and towels). The food was good with lots of choice especially if you are travelling with children (we have a 6 and 10 year old and they didn't complain about the food) The location of the hotel is perfect, it is a stone through away from the lovely Levante beach which again is spotless. The kids club staff are lovely (Although Monica, one of the kids entertainers is slightly bonkers!! in a good way!!) the two daughters loved joining in the different games and activities that were on offer. There were also games around the pool that the adults could join in (pool polo, dancing and aqua-fit). The Lifeguard is very strict (a bit too strict really!!) the pool rules are very strict which he certainly enfources no inflatables, no balls (except for small inflatable balls),he would stop little kids from taking tiny balls to play with in the pool and he would take the ball out of the pool if the people playing water polo did not listen to him blowing the whistle - which was ridiculous! You cannot also reserve sunbeds, as he will remove the towels if you leave them in the morning. The pool itself does not open until 9am and there is a bit of a queue around that time but we never had any probelms getting a sunbed if we was ever staying arund the pool area. When you arrive you can upgrade your all inclusive band to a blue one this entitles you to have named spirits instead of the local ones if this is something you want to do mention this at check in as we was never asked (this didn't bother us as we was happy with the local spirits). If you are going with young children or someone of a more mature age, then i would request a low floor when booking as the hotel has 18 floors, we was on the 6th floor and that was high enough. We never really had any problems with the lifts but this may be because if we called a lift and saw it go past we would just walk down (only because we was on the 6th floor if we was any higher then I think this would be another story). Apart from the stricy Lifeguard, all the staff were lovely and the hotel spotless, I wuld certainly recommend this hotel as it is in the perfect location and there is lots to do to keep everyone entertained. During our holiday we also visited Terra Mitica theme park - I would recommend this. The cheapest place to buy the tickets are opposite the hotel there is a Terra Mitica stand and opposite that there is a little shop who sell the tickets at a discount price (cheaper then the reps in the hotel). Once you buy the ticket it is only a short but busy bus ride away - you can hire prams which was a god send! Once you have been on your way out you can get a wrist band which will allow you free entry the next day. We did this and went back the next day kater on in the evening as they do a laser and firework display at 11pm. The rides are open till 10pm - 10.30pm, and there were no queues at all this time which my husband and eldest daughter were made up about. The ride the big rides you have to be 140cms tall, they are very strict with this and will measure the children. If you are looking for somewhere to go whilst in Benidorm I would recommend going to Terra Mitica. Hope this all helps in making your decision about staying at this hotel."

"we stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks in aug 11 and could not have picked a better hotel, apart from the decor being a little dated and waiting for the lifts, the food was very good catered for just about everyones needs and in abundance,we took 4 kids and hardly saw them in daytime as the reps came and took them to play games kids really enjoyed their stay, most of the staff were helpful,we were on the 18th (top)floor with a view all the way up levante beach and could not have got a better room, the rooms were cleaned every day although in the 2 weeks we were there the bedding was only changed once all in all an excellent hotel and will definatley be going back there(probably in october) "

not for us
"Just got back from from los dalmatas hotel...( july ) first time back to spain since three years ago and only stayed for two christmas s, we stayed in the amigo s hotels where they have about 7 to 8 hotels you can go into on your all inclusive s and drink/eat and join in the activities, but of course you hav t to sleep at the hotel you are booked into... our stay at the dalmatas ..... firstly we arrived around 12 ish at night we got there by coach transfer which took 2 hours taking into account s drop off s., the all inclusives had stopped but a cold salad with meats was left out for us... there was six in our party stayed here .... the hotel was dated but cleaned in the hotel and rooms every day. i never saw the pool area cleaned and the floors around the pool seemed to have the same stains on the floor during our stay .. i was the one to get up around 8 ish in the morning to put towels onto some sunbeds, there was a shortage of them and people queued at 8 to reserved there sunbeds, i got down around twenty two eight and there was 4 sunbeds left..and that seemed to be the trend all week....there seems to be alot of walking to get anywhere in this hotel which has 18 floors.. we was on the 11 th floor and waited around 15 mins on average for the lift going up and going down..at peak times dinner tea time s on that floor cant speak for the rest of the floors we waited 25 minutes and give up and decided to walk down, which was abit knackering. the food was average but was a shortage of meats ... the childrens entertainment was fine... and there was about 3 shows a week around half ten at night would we stay here at the los dalmatas again.....well its not for us.. i did read the reviews and did thnk they was pretty good..i should have give more credit to the not so good ones hope this help trip advirsors in some way ... "Stayed at Los Dalmatas last week May 2011 and we definately wont be back. My partner suffered the most horrific "runs" almost the whole week as did most of the guests. Ambulances were outside the hotel taking the elderly to hospital who obviously couldnt cope with it. Still got no answer as to what was causing it. Was told it was either the food or the air conditioning. The food was rubbish although the sweets were ok. Went all inclusive but ate out most of the time. Reception staff were most unfriendly. The only good thing was the maid who kept our dated room as clean as she could. The lifts were a joke was afraid to travel in them alone so walked up 10 flights of stairs. The entertainment was dull and geared towards the elderly. This hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment and needs to get up to date. NEVER AGAIN!"
