"We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Rosamar, and i have to say never again, we arrived to find the room very small and the decor was pitiful. The bathroom had toenail clippings on the floor along with used plasters, the bath and sink were full sand and hair and the drains were very smelly! The food if thats what you can call it was more in line as pig swill!! (pigs would have turned their noses up at it) first breakfast was our last my 4 year old son had cold bacon and a sausage that was red raw in the middle luckily did not eat it! Reception staff very unhelpful be careful as to hidden costs ie TV remotes and hairdryers as they will try and keep your deposits ( keep reciepts) The pool was very dirty and you could not get in for lilos rubber rings and boats to make matters worse when took our son to the " play area" we found a number of condom wrappers!! We would never ever book to stay at this hotel again!"

" Stayed in this hotel eight years ago fantastic I have been to benidorm 15 times since stopping in different hotel I thought I would go back. What a BIG MISTAKE got there at 11.30am did not get room untill 9.00pm .the rooms are cleanish very dated could do with a lick of paint, air con does not work. The dining room is clean, food is hot not much to choose from not very good for children as it is adult based. the dinng staff are the most miserable people you will meet not one laughed are smiled not even when given a tip, also they never give change back when you buy wine are water. All the public parts of the hotel are very clean but then they would be as you can not use them. they only open the bar at night you have to use pool bar with is dirty bins over flowing, long queues, run out of ice cream a couple of time in our one week stay you can never get a sun bed unless you up at 7.30 and only got 9 umbrellas for the hotel had to buy our own which is not good if you have young children WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL this is not a 3 star hotel it a one . disgusting could not wait to come home ruined our holiday "

"We stayed at the rosamar with another couple and found this hotel to be first class. The rooms were spotless and wallpaper in the bathroom was a first.
The food was good and drinks were purchased from a member of staff at very reasonable prices ie two euro for a bottle of wine and free sparkling wine at breakfast time.
The hotel is located right in the centre of all the good bars and clubs and the beach is only a five minute walk.
We will be staying in this hotel again."

"Where do i begin?
Staff: reception staff were as useful as a handbrake on a canoe....during our stay four of our group of nine got robbed while they lay sleeping for 10 mins! we went in a group of 9 and for some bizzare reason we were seperated...there was a room taken by OAP's between us all (we took up 3 rooms). a few of the group in the end room (floor 6) had over 1500 euro taken from their safe, they had left their room door open and the key in the safe however everybody had been going from room to room so we they didnt think that they would be in any danger! When we discovered what had happend the reception staff told us to phone the police however we insisted they do it as none of us could speak spanish.....that was all the help they gave us!
Food: for a 3 star hotel it leaves alot to be desired...if you like sloppy school dinners, stale bread, over priced beverages and flys on your dinner then enjoy! might i add....for your own safety avoid the lifts at eating times!!!!
Rooms: no bin, no lock on bathroom door, no remote controll for t.v, poor aircon, outdated and dreary decor! fridge would have been brilliant too....instead we used the sink and filled it with ice cubes which we bought from the local supermarkert!
Pool side: if you are taller than 5 ft the deep end would be shallow! put your towells down arout 1am to have a lounger for the next day....SERIOUSLY! Bar staff are friendly tho!
all in all if you are under 50, enjoy decent entertainment, dont like getting robbed, anything other than brittish DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!
P.s Benidorm seems to be a STRICTY Brittish resort.

very good hotell
"We stayed at the Rosamar hotell 10 years ago and returned in June 2008 after staying in hotells such as ,Sol Pelicanos, Marina,Dalmatas,Lavantie Club E t c .Our stay at the Rosamar is among the best of them.
The food was plentifull and of very good quality,The rooms were a suprise reguarding there size and comfort,The cleaners were very good and cleaned every day, towells and beding were replaced regulaly. The bar staf were curtiouse and on top of there job.Day time entertainment was very veried and the entertainment staff got everyboady involved if you so wished. The restaurant staf were on top form cleaning and re setting the tables we never once had to que for a table even though there were 9 of us the staff ensured that we all sat together.
This is the first hotell i have been in where the carvery meats were all cooked to perfection every day.
We have just two small critisisems ,The lifts were big but slow and at meal times waiting was enevitable. The pool was adiquate but needs extending, the old square pool was better.
I would definatly recomend the Rosamar hotell to any one going to Benidorm, And i shall definatly return to the Rosamar.
Finaly this hotell deserves a far better sta rating than 3 star,Having stayed in many 4/5 star hotells i would definatly give the Rosamar 4 Stars."

"We found this hotel a lovely place to stop. Food was very nice and plenty of choice, at all the meal times and also the option to have a lunch for 7 euro if wanted on any of the days whilst stopping there. Pool area was good, and there was a bar and sometimes a band or show of some sort to entertain during the day. There was also entertainment every night.
Benidorm town was always a hype of activity, and there was always plenty of entertainment to please all types of holidaymakers tastes.
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the holiday. "

"just returned from a 7 day holiday at the rosamar hotel. benidorm.
we found the hotel to be very good. the food was good and varied day to day, the pool and areas were clean and the pool was cleaned nightly.
the hotel rooms were clean and the maid service was realy good. plenty going on for the kids.
hotel location is spot on for the night life and beach. local transport 100 meters from the hotel so visiting the old part of benidorm was no problem. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the rosamar and would have no problem recommending it. we will give it 8 out of 10
the only down side of the holiday is, why are the vast majority of the spanish are so miserable. in 7 days we only caught 2 spaniards laughing. (or was it wind)
when changing currency keep away from the exchange next to the chemist/perfume shop 50 yards from the hotel, go to the indoor market there are 3 places in the market which give excellent rates.
we were charged 20 euros for changing 100 pounds 1 young couple were charged 42 euros for changing 200 pounds.
other than this we had a great time and will return again. "

Poor value for money needs total refubishment??
"We know Benidorm very well, but have never stayed in the Hotel Rosamar before, as we normally stay in the far superior Hotel Calypso, which has the same 3 star rating but is in a totally different league to the Very Dowdy Hotel Rosamar!!
The following is our Honest & Very Genuine Recent experience of theHotel Rosamar: -
1/ Very Unhelpful & Miserable Dining Room Staff, Who Just Don't Want To Clear Tables, And Leave You To Lay Your Own Table
2/ Just One Main Course Dish For Dinner, With The Same Sweet repeated Every Day
3/ Dirty Dishes Especially Noticeable When Using the Same Soup Bowls For Breakfast Cereal, Which Smelt Of Soup!! Tea Cups With Dark Coffee Stains, And The Tea/Coffeee Machine is
4/ The Club Room Is 1970's Style, Dark and Uninviting, With Sticky Seats
5/ Reception Staff Are Rude, And Will Try To Con You Out Of Your Deposits For Room Safe & TV Remote Control, (Make Sure You Get Receipts For Money Paid)
6/ Final Straw Was The Beds Are A Disgrace, As More Like Camp Beds, Very Hard, And Urgently Need Renewing?
7/ The In Hotel Hairdresser Is Very Friendly, And Knows Her Job Very Well
8/ All In All The Hotel Is Not 3 Star, But Just About One Star, And Desperately Needs A Total Refurbishment
9/ Would Never, Never Book With Airtours/Thomas Cook Again, As They Are Very Unprofessional In All Aspects Of Our Holiday Experiences Both In 2007 + 2008!!!
10/ Holiday + Hotel Rosamar Value For Money - Marks Out Of Ten = 3 (And That's Being Generous !!)"

"Actually stayed at the Rosamar twice this year!! Feb and April. Never stayed at a hotel twice so we must have liked it. Food is very good, with good selection and chef show cooking every day. Lovely and clean. great location and quiet at night. few minutes to pubs and clubs. Ask for room overlooking the calypso hotel, as new hotel being built on the other side. Remember there is a charge for indoor pool and spa. Would recommend this hotel."

Costa Del Benny
"My girlfriend and I found our stay at this hotel an enjoyable one. We found the hotel very clean and tidy and found the reception staff very friendly. I don't speak Spanish but I try to make an effort which does endear the locals.
The food was good and well presented, and there was plenty to choose from (even though the Chavvy Brits in the hotel stuck to their chips). We went half board but didn't eat in the hotel every night, not because the food was of a poor standard but because we fancied eating other foods. I did not understand the sun loungers being empty all day with towels on them, not being used, as mentioned in other reviews about the hotel.
I had never been to Benidorm before and had preconceived ideas about the place, thinking it would be full of Tattooed Chavs, loud mouthed Brits etc, etc...However i was not completely wrong but at the same time amazed at how clean the beaches were, at how safe it was there and the vast array of entertainment.
There is something for everyone in Benidorm. The old town is a must in my opinion. It's the haunt of the locals and the restaurants in that part of town are really diverse and look fantastic and some of them really are, if you like sea food. If you fancy cabaret, it's there and not too bad...Look out for Pete Loaf, The Beatles tribute band from Valencia and Dave Keegan as Elvis at the Talk Of The Town (all within a 2 minute walk from the Rosamar Hotel).
Towns such as Altea and Calpe are not very far. These are nice old towns. Calpe has some lovely fish restaurants at the harbour area. The best and probably the quickest way to get to Calpe is by boat. It takes an hour from the harbour in Benidorm. The bus is best for Altea and it costs 1 Euro- How cheap? In fact most bus rides are 1 Euro....
I would go back to Benidorm. There are still some parts undiscovered."
