Very good hotel
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Victoria and would highly recommend it. It's in the right part of town, easy walk from the beach, right next to the old town but also an easy walk into the Levante new town if you really feel you have to. The hotel is modern, clean, everything is in excellent order and the service was fabulous. We had very good meals, although I wasn't so enthusiastic about them as some of the reviewers. There were a couple of nights we took one look and decided to eat out. However good this hotel is, I still prefer the nearby Poseidon - just as good rooms and service but better food, better pool and often a better room rate. Not trying to put you off, the Victoria is a great hotel and you should have a very enjoyable stay if you choose it."

Helpful and friendly staff
"Stayed for a few days with my partner and my 85 year old mother who needs a wheel-chair. All the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs.
Although all meals were buffet-style there was plenty of choice and variety. Hot food was constantly being prepared in the kitchens and brought out, so at no time was the food getting stale.
The bedrooms were large and comfortable and towels were changed daily.
We would happily visit again like many others who have contributed to this hotel's report."

One of the Best Hotels in Benidorm
"If you read all the reviews of this hotel, it is apparent that this hotel is a good place to stay in Benidorm. The food choice was excellent, and the quality was very good as well as being hot, where appropriate. What you have to remember is that you are in Spain in a Spanish Hotel, and the food is never going to be the same as at home. When my wife and I go abroad, we like to experience the different tastes and cultures...even in Benidorm! This is a great hotel. We stayed here for New Years Eve and experienced the Gala Evening in the Restaurant. We had a 9-course meal and enjoyed the tremendous variety of dishes. The wine was included and flowed freely all night..our glasses were never empty. At the end of the evening we were presented with a gift and a party bag with loads of bits and pieces to take away to celebrate the New Year at our chosen location. The restaurant also does theme nights..it had a "mexican" night on the last night of our stay which was very good.
Most of the views from the rooms are stunning and most look out to sea, especially on the higher floors. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. Secure Car Parking is available on 2 floors below the Ground Floor. Wireless Internet is available from your room or you can use the modem connection on the phone..reception will supply you with local access so you are only paying for a local call. A fridge and safe are supplied in the room. If you require a kettle, one will be provided. The safe and car parking will need to be added to your key card in reception for you to use them. The hotel location is just on the edge of the Old Town on the Levante side and was in a good central position. Reception dealt with all our queries happily and effieciently The staff in all areas of the hotel were helpful, friendly and polite. I highly recommend this hotel, and we look forward to returning here in the future,"

Poor Food Selection
"The hotel is well appointed and the maids are excellent, the food choice in the restaurant is very poor for a four star hotel.
The breakfast cereals are limited and the evening meal choice also is very limited and the vegetables practically non existant,
staff not particullarly pleasant and a lot of the hot food is served cold.
Lots of people complaining whilst we where staying but to no avail.
Would not stay here again or recommend it to any one, have stayed here in Benidorm in better three star hotels."

"We have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel and we were very happy with every aspect of the hotel. the only grumble for us was that the waiting staff were not very attentative when it came to clearing tables or enquiring as to whether you required anything to drink. That said we found the food to be of excellent quality and veriety with serveral theme nights. All members of staff that we came in to contact were very proffesional, friendly and helpful. This is probably not a family hotel as not alot for kids to do but that suited us. We will certainly be booking this hotel again when we return in April 2007"

clean elegant but going down
"Clean - pleasant rooms with good air conditioning and service. Reasonable food if you like the same old breakfast and dinner starters every day. As November approached, the standards slipped further every day. There were less English speakers/ staff around. The internet was constantly broken. The sauna was on only occasionally...and the pool? Well see the picture to believe our children's greatest disappointment - it was tiny, cold and constantly in the shadow of the appartments behind the hotel."

something for everyone
"just returned from a trip to benidorm and there really is something for everyone in benidorm as the hotel is not in the centre of the levante area, it is on the edge in centro plaza, very nice hotel, very clean and friendly, breakfast not too bad, nice bar and lovely outside terrace, the pool area is very quiet and the outside bar was never open. i would stay at this hotel again."

Emm not sure about this hotel
"Stayed in this hotel for a week recently and had selected it based on the reviews on this website. But I was not completely satisfied on a number of points
1. Food in restaurant was very unpredictable - one night great the next poor the next so-so. whilst undoubtably a great variety, quality and flavour sometimes left a lot to be desired.
2. Maid service - oh dear not the best for a hotel of this quality, twice had to phone down after room was serviced to get tumblers for room and once had dirty cleaning cloth left hanging from bathroom door.
3. Entertainment - not great for non-spanish speakers under 60.
On the plus side the hotel is very central for what little Benidorm offers and was generally clean and tidy, but I do expect more from a Best Western Hotel"

A Bullseye in excellence
"My wife and i have just returned from a week in Benidorm, staying at the Hotel Victoria and were very impressed indeed. We found the Hotel to be spotless throughout, staff professional, very pleasant and helpful. The food variety and quality was very good, our room spacious and well equipped and the location perfect for access to town and beach. This hotel is indeed of 4 star standard and i would not hesitate in recommending it to my friends."

"Alicante Airport: booked transfer through resorthoppa. took approx. 35 mins. from airport to hotel.
Benidorm: touristplace with all it includes, well catered for families with children
The Victoria: I have stayed at many BW hotels, and this is absolutely among one of the best. Friendly staff, very helpful receptionists, clean and wonderful equipped rooms, amazing views over beaches and mountains. Benidorm is not a place for me, should I come back I would certainly stay at the Victoria. Big Mercadona superstore round the corner."

3 star for food
"Location; easy stroll to either Old Town & harbour or Levante Beach, our room was 1903 on the top floor [19th] looking directly towards the Old Town, excellent views seaward across the other bay, but alongside a busy road where the sound of traffic [frequent snarle-ups with plenty horn blowing], late night revellers and emptying of bottle banks in the early hours was loudly transmitted even to our lofty room. On the balcony there was a regular whaft of drains which could have been from any of the nearby hotels.
To what we usually experienced, the bedrooms were huge, bathroom equally large, the higher floors only had four bedrooms per floor, though the toilet and bidet were awkwardly sited. A major gripe was the none working heating control in the bedroom, we found that it was nessessary to have the balcony door wide open every night, all night, in an attempt to cool the room, it was not the time to switch off the heating yet in Spain and when running there was a constant low rumble sound in the room.
There is no critisism of the staff or cleaners, the Hotel was very clean, however when we come to catering this was the major letdown, we have always used 4* accomodation and know what is expected for that standard, the Victoria must have been on a very tight budget as we soon discovered that almost all items were to make a regular monotonous appearance on the counters, if items had any sort of taste it would have been an asset, but it was the same bland garbage starting with different coloured dishwater they called soup, main course usually had veal on offer and desserts always included two bi-coloured sandwich cakes, differing by having the chocolate coloured layer at the top on one and at the bottom on the other, their star attraction was a glass of blancmange with a biscuit sat on top, no sign of the cream cakes of typical 4* Hotels.
would I return to the Victoria ? definately not, it needs reclassifying down to a 3*"

What a fantastic hotel. Rooms were spaci...
"What a fantastic hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean, lots of choice on the buffet meals.
Facilities were excellent for my son who has a disability and uses a wheelchair although the lifts are a bit slow. The hotel management were polite and very friendly nothing was to much trouble for them, even when we asked to use the swimming pool they came straight away to uncover it and clean it every day.
We would revisit the Hotel Victoria again."
