just returned home today 11/07/2015 after 11 night stay
"This was my 4th visit to the Perla and as always I received a friendly warm welcome with my room ready (and I was given the one I requested by the lovely lady who dealt with me in email!- thank you!!) The breakfasts are great, beds comfy, rooms just what you need and kept immaculate by staff. Although you are in Benidorm, and it does get noisy at times, its a great centrally located place to stay, only a five minute walk to beach, you have supermarkets and shops around in the near by area. I have stayed at several bigger hotel chains in Benidorm and really rate the Perla higher than most. I felt safe and all the staff were happy to help you with anything you needed. I cannot honestly say anything negative at all except perhaps mention that if the coffee machine, toaster and orange juice machines were placed in slightly different areas- those waiting to get their breakfasts would not be always bumping into each other, and it would make things run a lot more smoothly? I will be back very soon- Love the Perla!!! book with confidence! you will be glad you did :0)Lynda"

"we stayed at this hotel 3 times ,its very central to all bars and 10 to 15 mins to beach. we stayed at this place b&b the breakfasts were beautiful and im a fussy eater but i loved it all staff very friendly. can b a bit noisey but not bad ideal stay for couples yet there was plenty of hen parties and stag parties there but were never out of control ive stayed in 3 hotels in benidorm and this was by far the best for our tastes, it did have children staying there but i would defo not take my grandchildren there. rooms spotless maids in every day we looking forward to going again hopefully this year for a little break but if you like the nightlife its defo the place for you."

"Just got back from a 5 day break.Hotel was clean and friendly.Breakfast catered for all types.Mixture of English and Spainish. If you are a light sleeper then ask for a pool side room as the Red dog Bar goes on until about 5-6am.Overall good value for money and should certainly be a 3star. Beds made /room cleaned and fresh towels every day. There was loads of hot water and the shower worked great. It was in a great location, central for eveything.I would certainly go back and recommend it to friends. Just arrived back from Benidorm yesterday...
"After reading many reviews of the Hotel Perla in Benidorm, I was unsure what to expect. At 2 stars and a very reasonable price there are many advantages! It was perfect for location, literally a minute walk to the square (all the bars and clubs) and lots of restaurants. The beach was also only a few minute walk which was also very ideal! The hotel staff were very friendly, as nearly all of the reviews I have read stated, the hotel was clean including the room. The prices weren't too bad for food and drink in the hotel, but you could find many cheaper depending on what you wanted. A bottle of small water 1 euro, a portion of chips 3 euros, the alcohol was quite expensive as some lads we saw were paying 4 euros for a bottle of beer and a small cup of cocktail for 6 euros (that could be found a quite a bit cheaper other places.) The breakfast was ideal, with a variety including bacon, sausage, eggs to cereal, bread rolls, croissants and ham and cheese. We didn't find it hard to get a sunbed, as from previous Spanish holidays I've learned to pop our towels on the sunbeds before breakfast, but they were all gone aorund 10 o'clockish and there was not really enough for the amount of residents of the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for families and possibly elderly couples (even though there were a few elderly couples in our hotel), there were a few big groups of lads (even up to 20 in a group) and towards the weekend a few hen and stag groups. This tends to make the atmosphere around the pool very boisterous and loud, especially when a most of the groups just get drunk the whole day. This did not bother me and my boyfriend very much, but the loudness of them coming in during the early hours of the morning wasn't ideal, banging on neighbouring doors and shouting. The hotel were obviously trying to keep this at bay, as there were security cameras throughout the hotel which were monitered, and we could hear staff coming up to try and stop this, and once even threatening to call the police. It is a good job we are heavy sleepers! Again this is not a hotel for light sleepers! Depending on what you want out of your holiday could depend whether you would like to stay here, as most reviews say it is definately for young people, and the hotel perla was fine for our needs, I would most probably stay there again if I went back to Benidorm, and I think my 7 out of 10 rating reflects this review. I hope this has been helpful! Really enjoyed my holiday! :)"

"great location, clean rooms, ideal for people wanting to enjoy them selves till the very very early hours. beach just down the road, and benidorm square on your doorstep. the only thing that ruined it for me was being charged 50 cent for a platic cup from the bar ,so we could enjoy a drink on our balcony, and i had been tipping the barmen throughout our stay, also they will charge you for ice. i think a bit of diplomacy needed their."

"Room was spotless, bed linen changed every day aswel as towels. Quiet around the pool and plenty of sunloungers for everyone. All staff lovely. Bed and breakfast was basic but was nice. Hotel central and only a minute away from beach, restaurants, bars. Quiet and not a very good nightlife anymore, most bars were empty."

"Fantastic hotel for two stars, it had everything right on the doorstep. The pool was immaculate and we always managed to get a sun lounger. Rooms are cleaned everyday and spacious enough. Pubs and clubs nearby however watch your handbag as my bag got stolen straight from my arm in a pub called Beachcomber 2 minutes from La Perla. Benidorm Palace was a great night out and the meal was excellent, the water park (Aqualandia) was a great day but just take plenty of euros because its an expensive day out! Superb hotel in a great location with friendly staff. "

"just got back from benidorm on tuesday, very enjoyable, fantastic hotel. very clean, freindly enviroment. hotel staff great, helpful and friendly. rooms pretty basic beds and pillows not totally comfy. fresh towels everyday, bed changed everyday, maids very polite and friendly. facilities were superb, pool very nice and clean, lack of sunbeds is a little let down, get up early for breakfast and put towel on sunbeds is advisable. breakfast was nice eggs, bacon, sausage etc. both bars up and down staff were very joyful. bar food was great very friendly pool bar staff Gabriella and Manuel were amazing. as for location, maybe based on a main road which is always busy but never to loud, beach is literally a 5min walk down road. resturants and nightlife surrounding, music from nightclubs is turned down at 12 so doesnt disturb. in all hotel la perla very good hotel no were near a 2star hotel, very under rated hotel, very very nice hotel, will definetly return. 10 out 10.
