Hotel Magic Villa de Benidorm

"We were staying at another all inclusive hotel within this chain and decided to call here for drinks. As we were celebrating a 40th birthday there was 8 of us and we were staying for 3 nights in outer Benidorm. We were originally given temporary gold cards (card versions) and were told that we would be ok with these.
We encountered problems ordering our drinks, the first 3 couples had a bit of a problem but were given their drinks eventually as their cards were questioned.
When we ordered our drinks the bar staff shouted at us and told us we could have only beer, we said that we were holders of gold cards and we were still refused, the bar staff member asked one of us if we wanted to go outside, presumably for a fight. Once we had explained the situation to the manageress we got our drinks, although no apology from the rude bar man!"

fab lovely holiday
"stayed at the villa de benidorm 8th till 22nd of august. the weather was perfect! there were 9 of us in three rooms age ranges from 7 to 60.
rooms were clean and well presented bedding changed 3 times a week and fresh towels everyday, although there was no draw space lots of wardrobe space and other places to put things.
food was lovely good variety always hot and the restaurant staff were the best i have ever come across friendly and helpful all the time.
this is the only downside really, it wasnt very good!! but fun is what you take with you so we had a laugh anyway!
POOL AND FACILITIES
lovely pool, not massive but the hotel isnt huge anyway, there is a gym and jaccuzi and a rooftop terrace that we only discovered in our 2nd week. indoor pool was closed but brochure said it would be closed july to september anyway.
Mainly things were ok with reception staff, but on our last day we were refused the use of a courtesy room or the option to extend our room because of the hotel being fully booked, this isnt very good when you have late flights and we had to make do with public bathrooms to freshen up.
We loved our holiday there is something for every one in benidorm.
We would reccommend both the resort and the hotel to anyone."

hot night lack of air conditioning
"Just come back from a week's stay at the Magic Villa De Benidorm
First and formost the STAFF are the best i have ever encountered being abroad
always got time to stop and chat
The room was very small for me my wife and two children aged 14(girl) and 12(boy).
The kids had the two single beds, while we was cramped on a bed settee
The air conditon was very poor,it was about as powerfull as a handheld children's fan, we could not open the windows as we was getting bit,my wife and daughter had over 120 bits between them.
The rooms was cleaned every day to a good standard, reception spotless, bar and fuction room also spotless.
The pool was on the small side(very good camera work in the mag when we booked)
The indoor pool was closed on our first day as a 9 year old girl cut all her foot open on broken glass that was in the pool, she had 40 stitch's in her foot as a result.
NO ICE CREAM'S FOR THE CHILDREN THOUGHT
The resturant was clean and plenty of hot and cold food throughout the stay.
The 24 bar was very good too.Help yourself after 1.00am
Enterainment was limited as not many people stay in,but the DJ/entertainment guy was excellent and he did his very best to get everybody in the mood(he should ask for a pay raise)
Nice location,in the middle of everythink, beach and nightlife
Had a nice night out at the Medievil night(all free)
Also there is a free bus to all the other hotels in the Magic group, the food is the same in all of them.Worth visiting them thought as bigger pools and entertainment
They need to sort the rooms out,as too small for four people(alright if just two people went)
the air condition was rubbish, take a fan with you if you are going soon"

Very Very Good Value
"We booked a double room at the Villa Benidorm on the internet on all inclusive basis for around £300 (for two adults). The food was very good, lots of variety and was always piping hot. The fresh fish and seafood were particularly good. There are snacks if you need them in between main meals and local alcohol is 100%free!. There is on-site entertainment but it was not the best - dont worry wander out the hotel and there are plenty of clubs that offer free entertainment (lots are family orientated as well)
The rooms were pretty basic and seemed to date back to mid 1980's, but, they have a/c and seemed cool enough. The rooms are cleaned every day by a housemaid Ask for a room overlooking the pool rather than the road as there can be some noise from late night clubbers on rare occasions.
Car parking does not exist - if you have a car be prepared for a 10 - 15 walk - it was the only downside to the facilities in my eyes
Finally I would just like to mention the staff - they were great - very friendly and helpful.
For the money we spent we think that this was extremely good value - and I dont think I will ever get such a great all inclusive holiday in high season for £300 again"

if you havent book yet go elsewhere
"the restaurant - food was hot with plenty of variety
the staff were friendly and very helpful
the layout is more like a tired cafe but clean and pleasant
the entertainment - the worse we have ever experienced - the kids entertainer shouts into the mike and the music is so loud it drives you crazy. kids disco was at midnight some nights all of it too late for young children. the shows were hit and miss and lasted 30 mins when they did arrive.
the rooms- they were clean good size, we were placed down corrider having requested on booking rooms next door to children but staff were helpful and swapped us rooms after 4 days
the pool- smaller than it looks in brochure with little room for sunbeds. a few kids cut their feet on broken tiles in splash area. indoor pool great other than been closed for a week . water slides an excellent idea,
location - it is ideally placed closed to beach with easy access to everywhere by bus. we visited al of the other magic hotels. magic rock is nice with good nice time entertainment and a close walk away. magic monika had the best pool for children and adults with lots of sun lounging areas.
benidorm - it wasnt for us it is like blackpool abroad with more pickpockets beggers etc
but if you want an hotel close to nightlife but far enough away for quiet this is ideal.
ps we lost our camera while there if anyone found it ( digital fuji) please email photos on. i can buy a new camera but cant replace the pictures of my birthday etc

"stayed here in march for 1 week booked for christmas and in march also this speaks for it self. It is a friendly hotel we met a lot of friends in the bar at night. The food was good and we saved a lot of money going all inclusive we stayed in while 12 and then went out after this. When you come in if you have had not had enough to drink you can get another drink it as optics to help your self and also a fridge with bread ham to make a sandwich better than john and josephs. I would definate recomend this hotel not far from the beach and night life"

I was happy with it most of the time!!
"Well, what can i say... i enjoyed most of my stay at the Villa De Benidorm. We stayed there from Tuesday the 2nd - 16th May 2006!
On our first two days there, there was a bit of a problem with hot water. As we were on the 5th floor, the excuse from reception was that the people on the lower floors had taken it all, but when speaking to some guests from the lower floors, reception had told them that the people at the top of the hotel had taken it all. Then they said the boiler had broke. Then on the second day the whole street had a power cut so once again electric was running the water tank and no water again. (i got around this situation by filling up the bath with about 12 boiling kettles and some cold water from the tap). Also a useful tip for you - try and have a shower/bath/wash no later than 6 o clock.
The room itself i thought was really nice and modern. We were in room 506 which was one of the corner rooms and after looking at my mom and dads room ours seemed really big because we had windows across the front round the side of the building and slightly round to the back. Maids cleaned everyday and fresh towels everyday (well almost).
It would of been a good idea for them to have double beds but unfortunatly there are 2 single beds, which we had to push together night after night after night. Not much storage space for clothes as there ar no drawers but me and my boyfriend were fine with 2 big wardrobes. It also has the usual - safe, kettle, TV ( with only 2 english channels which are CNN News and Euro Sport), fridge, phone. There was no iron or hairdryer so if you need those make sure you take your own.
FOOD & DRINK
The food was not brilaint but it was ok, its all down to personal taste at the end of the day. I dont eat fish so i did struggle on a couple of occasions. I lived on chips on gravy! They always had the fresh salad, soups, chips and vegeatbles, but the main meal varied from pork to lamb chops to chicken form pork to lamb chops to chicken! Take my advice go and have dinner at the Cristal Park, there selection is the best i have ever seen and is so much fresher and better. (but dont forget to take your amigos card because you will need it to get in)
Of course the 24 hour drinkning was brillinat. The self self service bar should widen there selection and add Malibu thats my opinion.
During our 1st week the evening entertainment was the worst i had ever seen. There were 2 spanish people a young woman called Theresa and an old man called Fernando. They were terrible - they couldnt sing, dance or act - they did John Trovolta and Olivia Newton John and they have completley killed Grease!
During our second week a new guy came called Mike Hennessey! He is fab! He has a brill voice and can keep you entertained! Even little things like the quiz and bingo he made interesting. Then he had a young lady called Eline join him who was lovely but couldnt speak much English and on her first night he made her read out the answers to the quiz and she really struggled! Bless her! We also went to the Rock Gardens on a couple of occasions, they have Eddie who is also a good entertainer.
There werent much going on during the day, just small games of shooters, archery, pool etc!
When you have your welcome meeting a medieval night will be mentioned, which is supposed to be about 40euros each. But as your stopping in Amigos hotel if you go to recepition and say you want to go to the Medieval Night this night is completley free!! But please go to reception and not the holiday rep, and reception will take you room number and then you can go either on a friday or saturday nite, with free transport from the hotel. (make sure you take some baby wipes as you will get in a bit of a mess with no cutlery)
Louise the REP from up North somewhere is also lovely! (she is Thomson not First Choice)
The pool area was not to bad, although you almost died of Hypothermia when you jumped in, we had to get used to it. But be carfeul with those who have small children because the big pool was quite deep, even in the shallow end (but then im only 5'5").
The childrens pool looked very excitin although im 21 years old i couldnt resist having a little play, and we never had a problem getting a sun bed (there were no Germans there), but we were just out of season.
There is an indoor pool, but i spoke to a couple of people who said the chlorine was really strong in there and it was ruining there costumes and bringing them out in a rash.
I even spoke to one family, whos daughter went in the jacuzi. It had bleach in it not chlorine. The poor lady had passed out, it had sent her bikini thread bare and where the bottom of the hair had been hanging in the water, it had sent her black/dark brown hair white and she had to have it cut off, but i think this problem was sorted!
The reception staff werent to bad but the lady with the long blonde hair is lovely and is really helpful, so if you require anything go to her and im sure she will do anything to help you.
Be very careful down the beach because me and my boyfriend hired a pedaloe, but when i got out of the pedaloe i tripped on the rocks and broke/dislocated 4 of my toes! So if you were there i was the one with the crutches!
Location was brillinat, on the flat - which was useful as i ws on crutches. Shops, bars, restaurants, beach, taxis, pharmacy, everything you needd is near by.
I would also reccommend Mundomar and Terra Mitika. Theay are really good. Its upto you, but if you dont want there transportation, its will only cost you 1euro on the bus, and the bus stop is only round the corner.
There is also a Fish and Chip shop round the corner called Rays, they taste like prpoer British chips to!
If you want to visit the other Amigos hotels, there is a free bus service from the hotel in the morning and returns in the late afternoon if you fancy it.
I hope i have helped you a bit. If you want to ask me any questins contact me on the email address attached or [email protected] xx"

A wonderful family holiday at Villa de Benidorm
"Just returned from the Hotel de Benidorm, after a truly wonderful week. Arrived on the Saturday to find that Thomas Cook had messed up and not requested adjoining or nearby rooms, hotel manager/staff apologised profusely and promised to move us on the Monday. They kept their word and moved us to a spotless room again overlooking pool side. Rooms although lacking drawer space, are cleaned every day and towels replaced and beds made daily. All staff very friendly, lovely receptionist and great bar staff. The kids loved it especially the play area and kids pool complete with slides and bucket which fills up every 10 minutes them empties out on them - great fun! The season was just kicking off when we were there and they were still trying to sort their entertainment out but two spanish girls came on board half way through the week and took the children off to kids club for colouring and competitions in the afternoon. They also organised other pool side games for the adults. Food - what can I say fantastic! Lovely and hot every day, again staff can't do enough. If it runs out they quickly replenish it. After midnight they provide snacks and self service drinks which is brilliant for the night owls. Great location near beach, shops, chemist etc. Also great location to just sit and watch the night life in Benidorm without actually having to endure it! The kids loved it, we loved a very relaxing holiday."

"We have just returned from two weeks at hotel Magic Villa de Benidorm 10 of us went.
We paid for one pool veiw room which we did not get we were all in standard rooms.
We requested a cot for my grandson Kenzie who is 7 months old, no cot. Three days with no hot water, entertainment manager walked out, no caberet for 4 nights. Paid all inclusive food ok but not enough variety for kids and snacks were simply leftovers from breakfast ,lunch and dinner. Whilst we were there groups of holidaymakers were being told that there was no room at the Villa de Benidorm and were being offered rooms at other hotels within the group theese people had had bookings accepted but upon arrival were told "no rooms are availble" . One chap paid £1700 for his honey moon to have 2 rooms one for himself and his new wife and one for his daughter, upon arrival he was told there were not enough rooms and his daugher would have to share. So we shall not be booking with the Magic Group again very dissapointing."

Love this hotel
"My daughter and I and 2 granddaughters stayed at villa this year. The rooms were cleaned every day. The staff were genuinely the nicest people we have ever met also the kindest and most genuine especially Pedro, Sam and the barmen . The kids entertainers were great with the kids also.My granddaughters loved the pool and my daughter and I had a great view of them no matter where we sat to sunbathe. The location of the hotel is situated in a great place to access beach, shops bars and buses and taxis. The food was varied and plentiful and there was always something to suit everyone . We enjoyed this family friendly hotel very much and would definitely go back. Margaret and Allyson Northern Ireland."
