Hotel Indalo / Benghal Palace
"We stayed at the Hotel Indalo for 11nights in May of this year and had a very nice holiday. Our room overlooked the gardens at the side of the hotel, as requested, and gave us a lovely view of the sea and mountains. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good with a good variety of dishes - something for everyone. We will definitely go back.
Unfortunately, like another reviewer, we also visited the Benghal Palace, so called Indian restaurant. As lovers of Indian food I can only say we were totally disappointed. No way could this be described as authentic Indian food. It really was awful, probably the worst we have had. There is another Indian restaurant nearby but we did not have time to try it, but definitely give the Benghal Palace a miss."

Weather fantastic. Hotel clean and tidy....
"Weather fantastic. Hotel clean and tidy. Staff fantastic. Swimming pool nice and warm.
Scuba dived with one of the local schools. Location very good lots of restaurants and pubs here. No nightclubs. Many different shops to choose from. We loved the markets.
Food varied and cheap. Seafood everywhere!! Tapas lovely. Room spacious and light.
Unfortunately, there were lots of "working girls" here and going with children that was quite disturbing.
Sightseeing - Beautiful scenery with snakes, lizards and scorpions!! Cockroaches loved it here too!"

the beach ans sea were great
"Stayed here with 2 teenagers, it was very busy, alot of spanish holiday makers.
We did not really stay at the complex, but there seemed plenty of things to do, with entertainment every night which was ok from the odd bit we saw.
We tended to eat out in the evenings even though we booked half board. The food was not inspiring and maybe self catering would have suited us better.
The children preferred to go to the beach which was ideally placed across the road and heaven!
The rooms were clean, serviceable but basic.
We did not pay the earth for our holiday travelling with Jet2.com.
The staff were friendly enough and the towels were changed every day as was bedding as required and rooms cleaned every day if you required.
There was a supermarket on site, but it only opens in high season, we were told mojacar gets very busy in main season (school hols)
There was a small supermarket just a 2 min walk from hotel, and an english supermarket 5 mins drive away."

Arriving around 10pm we found that once...
"Arriving around 10pm we found that once we'd got our key, found our apartment (this took us a while) & dropped off our cases it was too late to grab anything to eat within the complex. We managed to find a Chinese restaurant a little way down to the road, they where about to close but they did cook us some chips to take away. We had a 1 bed roomed apartment which was big enough for us, eldest on the sofa bed & little 'un in a travel cot. Beds where comfy, bathroom had all the usual things, bath, shower etc & was of an average size.
Kitchen area was small, but we don't go away to cook do we, it was big enough to rustle up a sandwich, drinks etc. The complex itself is great, we traveled in late September with 2 kids & there where still activities run by the tour operators for them as well as a bit of entertainment at night. The entertainment team catered for all nationalities, translating into most European languages. Our 2 loved mini disco. The pool areas are grassed & are kept clean & tidy. There where plenty of loungers, then again this was late September, but I'm sure there would be enough for high season.
The square in the complex has a number of little shops around it, a bar, restaurant, snack bar & reps offices. It had lots of chairs & tables & I think they ran the entertainment there during the hotter months. Although we where S/C we did use the restaurant for breakfast. It was a buffet style breakfast where you could go up as many times as you wished or your waistband could stand! We paid as we went in each morning, found a table & highchair (they had a fair few, but again in high season you may struggle) & then fed our faces. the food was very good, cold meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, cakes, bacon, sausages(not English sausages) eggs cooked to your liking, beans, fruit, pancakes cooked for you with a variety of sauces, tea coffee, juices, hot chocolate, cereals. Yes I did gain weight that week!
Reception where helpful when we spoke to them as where the cleaning staff. There is a land train that stops outside the complex every hour & it runs the length of the resort along the coast, this is a nice way to see whatâs going on in the resort. We found it pretty quiet in late September, places where open, but not full. But we just wanted a quick week away so where quite happy with this.
I would recommend Pueblo Indalo for you next holiday, it's just a short flight from UK, beach is nice & sandy & weather is great!"
