Regency Club Resort
"We have just got back from a fabulous week at the regency club resort. The apartment was excellent with everything you could wish for, was really well maintained and all the equipment was good well known brands etc. The place itself is spotless, each day you see a team of cleaners busy keep every thing spick and span. The pool was great just a little cold! The restaurant is lovely and they happily made my step daughter a vegetarian meal to order. The location is out of the centre up a big hill, but with taxis only costing 7euros and a curtesy bus running all but Sundays, it wasn't a problem. You have a danish bakery onsite plus a mini supermarket. Within a 5 min walk is a big supermarket and a bank. Everything you could need. We found the trips that they offered to be very expensive so booked elsewhere. We also went to the waterpark which is nearby, it really seemed very overpriced, dirty and lacked activitys for my 1year old daughter. It took over 30 mins for my step daughter to get on a side and the park was meant to be quiet. I'm sure it is a great day out if you want to go down slies all the time, but you can't wear glasses in any of the pools (even those without sides) so my husband couldn't go in as he can't see without them, you have to pay for every extra and so it all adds up to an expensive day. It cost us 110 euros (4 adults) and we only stayed for 2 hours as we were that disappointed. All in all an excellent place to stay."

Not a Hotel
"This hotel is the wrost in the area, and far way from the beach in higher hill in Adeje. Don't go. The the rooms are awful. during my holidays they made the maintenance during the day light, putting products in the water."

Worst ever holiday accomodation
"My wife and I have recently returned from a planned holiday at The Regency Club The apartment provided was sub- standard ,scruffy, and ,by the staff's own admission,in need of a refurbishment. The outlook from the entry point was onto an overgrown and untidy small garden area ,beyond which was a wall in need of attention and re-painting,and a bin area. Internally, the furnishings were tired and scuffed, with almost every surface scratched or chipped.Ceiling fans and lights were not properly fixed to the ceiling. The apartment was adequately fitted and supplied with utensils however. The sliding door which provided entry was flimsy and bore evidence of damage and make do ,untidy repairs. The greatest drawback however was the complete absence of windows in the apartment.the only natural light source and fresh air entry was via the entry door. This made the bedroom in particular very stuffy. The reception staff refused our simple request for 2 keys. After an unpleasant initial evening ,we were contacted by the person responsible for guest services and that morning we politely voiced our concerns; but our request for reallacation to another apartment could not be granted. We stayed one further night and then decided to move out.We relocated to a very pleasant hotel nearbyand decided to take the financial consequence of the £150 per night charge rather than remain on site.(The hotel we moved to even supplied us with 2 room keys without a specific request or arguement!) The location of the resort ,up a very steep hill,is not suited to anyone other than an experienced fell runner. No non smoking areas are offered within the restaurant or bar areas. The specific apartment number we were suposed to stay at for a week was No. 165. You do not want to ever stay at this resort, and in particular in the above apartment.(Black Hole of Calcutta R'us!)"
