"I read a few of the reviews before going to this hotel and was a little worried, but our departure was extremely painless. We arrived at Luton and because we had booked in on line then all we had to do was book our cases in which took about 5 minutes, we went and had breakfast at Burger King and then it was time to board, this took about 15 minutes . Flight was just over 4 hours and upon arrival at Tenerife we were straight through passport control and making our way to bag collection our cases were on their way as we arrived. Transfer to the hotel was about 20 minutes . The hotel appearance was a bit dated on the outside but on entering the reception was very clean and the receptionist very friendly. We were given bands to wear for all inclusive and given door cards for our room. We were on the 12th floor and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The room was basic but very clean. The bathroom had a bath, shower toilet and a bidet and again was very clean. The room was cleaned and towels changed daily. As we were all inclusive it was after lunch that we arrived but there was snacks available, hot dogs calamari and chips, these were not that warm but we were hungry! We helped ourselves to coffee from the machine and then explored the hotel. Everywhere was clean and all of the staff very friendly. We found all the main meals to be very nice, plenty of variety at every meal and always somewhere to sit. The entertainment at night was varied and was something for everyone, they always had mini disco first, although there was not a lot of children as it wasn't school holiday times. The pool area was clean and the 3 pools all clean and not a bad temperature. There was always sun beds available no matter what time of day we went there. The only downfall of the hotel is no air conditioning but you do have a ceiling fan in your room. We found that if we shut the curtain but left the patio door open then the room wasn't too bad. The Thomson rep was a bit of a disappointment, we attended the 'welcome' meeting where the rep spoke so fast we couldn't understand or hear what was being said. There was also a rep from another firm who was offering 'free' trips where they would show you their products (pressure selling) we didn't take him up on the offer. We were told that the reason we didn't have a rep greet us at the airport and escort us to the hotel is so it freed up their time so they were more available at your hotel when you needed them. Although we didn't 'need' the rep, whenever we walked by her station she was never there! The resort itself is very quiet and if your into partying and clubbing then I wouldn't recommend it, but if you want somewhere quiet where you can relax and unwind (which is what we were after) then I would highly recommend it. Overall the hotel and staff were excellent and I would return there."

"My wife and I stayed at this hotel for nearly a month,we are both in our early 60ies,we have stayed at many all inclusive 3 star hotels this was by far the best value for money, price wise it was an absolute bargain for 4 weeks all inclusive in the sun in January. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food was great bags of variety, yes there is plenty Spanish oaps ( we are in Spain after all) ,we found them to be very polite.entertainment was on every night in 1200 seat theatre i"ll admit mostly not our cup of tea.Paraiso is quiet ,but with spectacular walks on the front, and if we wanted we used to get the bus outside the hotel into Los Americas, Los Christianos, couple of euros 2o min. In fact we are looking to book this hotel next year.Trevor Garner Sheffield"

"Stayed here for 14 nights from 9 9 2012. Great time , very clean & comfortable. Staff were great, friendly & helpful. Food was good. All inc was great. Loads of pool side recliners. 3 pools. Helen the thomson rep was great, any problem & she was right on it. For me the independent poolside masseuse were brilliant. Only 10e a session. Fixed my bad neck hands & knee in 2 sessions. Been having treatment at home for years without any improvement. Will go to this hotel again. One minor draw back, no air con in rooms. Still great. "

"stayed at this hotel from 24th - 31st july with husband and 3 kids aged 4,10 and 13, problem when first arrived as asked for interconecting and ended up with rooms next door, thomson rep paid for us to go siam park to make up for this problem and changed to interconnecting on friday. Hotel was as advertised a 3 star, food was good although sometimes luke warm so i stayed away from chicken although hubby and kids ate it and they were fine, food would get repetivitive if staying for more than a week, pools were lovely and hotel room was v clean, towels changed every day and beds made, could do with air conditioning though, we liked playa paraisio as a place friendly and quiet, spanish at hotel were lovely, some english people were rude! someone English shouted me down for accidently taking umbrella but spanish were always friendly and welcoming to us, i would go again if the price was reasonable, all in all a good, cheap, basic no frills hol if u want 5 star book 5 star but this was a 3 star no more no less and what i expected "

"Couple in late 40's traveling Negatives - caters for spanish oaps only 30 rooms for Thompsons, the spanish oaps are ignorant and rude, no night time entertainment, they are noisey at night, meals times are chaotic and the noise oh dear me i never want to hear spanish being spoken again, you have to fight to get a table at meal times and dodge them on the coffee/tea run, it is out of the way no where to walk have to catch the bus everywhere or taxi, ques at the bus stop horrendous with the spanish oaps jumping the que as with every thing else ! One member of staff Jorge was a nightmare he attended the pool bar very very rude. Positives - you dont have to fight for a sunbed by day plenty are available, you are able to use the sister hotel next door by day weather good I really think the well known tour operator should pull out of this hotel and concentrate on the sister hotel the floral. Both hotels need up dating and decorating food is plentyful variety I only stayed a week so was fine for our stay BEWARE -- when asking for drinks etc at the bar you have to give your room number, if there is a Spanish OAP waiting also they will charge what they buy to your all inclusive tab. They have to pay for drinks by day and night but meals are free also if they are in the restruant. Clever eh so ~Thomson all inclusive will rise in price at some point ........"

"Before arriving at the Oasis Paraiso i had visited this website and was nervous about it however i neednt have worried. My boyfriend and i (aged 23&27) arrived at midday and it was gloriously sunny. First impressions were dismay at the sight of the high rise building but those worries quickly disappeared. ROOM: Our room was a little basic but clean and was situated at the corner of the building on the second top floor. The view out to the sea was stunning-totally priceless. Our room had recently been renovated and fitted with a new bathroom suite including shower (where the water never ran dry) No air con but i didnt feel like i needed this in December and to be honest i have been to Tenerife in August and never needed it. POOL AREA: Dipped my big toe in the pool once and it was FREEZING but then again it was December. FOOD: Plenty of choice for every meal surely a dish to suit everyone? We dined in every morning for brekkie and only two nights out of seven for dinner because i do like dining out when on holiday. RESORT: Very very quiet, was under construction on the way in (but far enough away that you wouldnt be effected by noise) We do enjoy it peaceful though. ALL IN ALL: The hotel is basic but its clean and what else do you expect for the money you pay? A fantastic holiday, great value for money! We spent a day at the Aqua park and also Lorro Parque both great days out! We hired a car for our stay as the resort is far out and i dont like to rely on taxi's or buses. DONT go to this hotel if you like going clubbing unless you want to spend a fortune on public transport. Ideal for families and couples young and old. "

"The hotel was basic but clean, food ok. The resort was very boring and quiet. The waiter and bar staff where so unfriendly which ruined the holiday, also the local shop staff where the most rudeist people I have ever meet. The Thomson staff where very friendly, thank goodness or I would of asked for a transfer. If you want good family hotel stick to the Fiesta Don Toni in Ibiza, which is owned by the same group, the staff in the Don Toni and childrens entertainment is excellent."

"Booked through Thompson, flying from birmingham airport, lookout when you get to the airport, in their infinate wisdom thompson are booking three flights in through two check-in desks, the queue was out through the door!!! Forward toilet broken on the plane out-bound and suprisingly in-bound. Transfer to the hotel takes approx 1 hour after all the drop offs, no rep on the bus just get on with it. Welcome to the welcome meeting and can we sell you any trips???? Are you sure we can't sell you any trips??? little information just lots about thompson selling you trips, don't bother we booked Lorro park for a massive 14 euro less each than thompsons were offering! Bus picks you up outside the hotel exactly the same. Room in the hotel was very basic, grubby and in need of up dating. Be warned there is no air conditioning only a noisy ceiling fan that re distributes the heat throughout the room. Food is not very inspiring, breakfast is ok if you like fatty smoked bacon. Evening meals are very bland and tasteless. Good bus service running outside that costs 3.50 euros for a couple to playa las americas and 4.20 to los christianos. Look out if you venture to either, the timeshare touts are relentless and in plentiful supply, we won the star prize twice OMG and all you have to do is sit through a 6 hour presentation, don't be fooled!!! The Thompson reps are a waste of time unless you are buying trips then they can't help you enough! Kiddies club? What kiddies club??? there were quite a few kiddies there but no club? how does that work then?? Hotel staff are helpful but the beer is expensive. Half a dozen local bars outside the hotel but nothing much else. don't expect to be entertained. "

"Had a great holiday. Food good, room clean hotel OK but needs updating. Bus service to Las Americas good. Drinks in hotel expensive so recommend the Brittania bar up the road run by Lee from Stoke. Don't book trips with Thomson as the reps are incompetent, don't sell the package truthfully and are not interested in client. Very inexperienced. Overall, would still recommend as had a great time."
