Playa Paraiso Holidays
The 'playa' itself is very small – rather than stretching for miles, it is a small cove. The resort has been built for purpose, with large hotels overlooking the sea and apartments with communal pools, but for those who are happy relaxing by the pool for a week with the chance to wander down to the sea, it is ideal.
Tenerife has been part of Spain since Alonso Fernández de Lugo invaded the island – with permission from the King of Spain in 1493. Eventually, tourists started to visit Tenerife from the 1890s, and the industry has since grown to welcome around five million visitors each year. The island is home to the world's third largest volcano, called El Teide. The volcano can be found in the centre of the island, taking around an hour and a half to drive to the Teide National Park, but it is well worth it.
There are package holidays in Playa Paraiso available, although the resort is small and there is not a large choice of hotels. There are a few nice, simple restaurants serving dishes such as steak and pizza, and the staff are welcoming in both the restaurants and the hotels. For nightlife, visitors may have to splash out for a 20 Euro taxi ride to get to the central party area of Playa des las Americas, but this makes Playa de Paraiso a great place for families who want everything contained. It is worth checking online for package holiday deals before booking to ensure that you get the best value holiday possible.
