"Just returned. Home after one weeks hotel at the BitaCora hotel, half board. The hotel is lovely, and the staff very friendly and very helpful, our room was immaculate and cleaned on a daily basis by the maid,we had a pool view , there's plenty of sun beds ,no need to put towels out early dawn to reserve like people were doing, both pools were lovely and the pool bar provided snacks throughout the day .The hotel is in the center of the resort ,ideal to get to the shopping center, there are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes,Harry's bar and the Hard Rock cafe well worth a visit, also the Plasa cafe,we spent a few nights here, the onsite entertainment was brill, the guy did tribute to Elton John and Tom Jones ,but had us crying with laughter,he is really funny, and his act blends comedy and singing together.in all a fantastic holiday, excellent hotel, staff a credit to the hotel,we will be going back again next year."

"We have just returned from spending Christmas & New Year at this hotel. It was our second visit here & we stayed in a lovely pool view room which has been recently refurbished. It was tastefully decorated, light & airy with flat screen TV etc. The only thing I feel could have been improved was the hairdryer. It was only lukewarm & not very powerful, plus the cable was not quite long enough when you happen to be left handed. The lounge near reception has free WI-FI and is beautiful, clean and well kept. The was a large choice of food at all meal times and the Gala dinners were excellent. The one on New Years eve even included caviar & lobster. A great hotel in a good location, a short walk to the beach. "

This might be our last visit
"This is our third visit to this Hotel, but our first taking all inclusive. We were very happy during the previous visits and all the GOOD things about the Bitacora remain the same. However during this visit (March 30 -April 9th. Room 832) we chose the all inclusive option. This was a mistake as one of OUR pleasures in the past was eating at the outside bar near the pool at lunchtime. This year the normal poolside lunch menu was still available with linen table cloths and proper plates and cutlery BUT only if you paid. For the all inclusive guest there was a buffet (first food cooked at 11.00) with paper plates and cutlery and the use of tables without a cloth. All inclusive second class! If you wanted food cooked fresh to order you had to pay. If you wanted food cooked at the chef's convenience you were all inclusive There was a choice of eating in the main restaurant buffet from 13.00 but that is not the same if you want an outdoor lunch. Final complaint - "The mad English towel brigade" They were at it as early as 7.15. Surely the Hotel management can stop these silly people reserving sun beds 4 or 5 hours before they are occupied. I may smile but inside I am very irritated. We may return but not all inclusive."

"Spent two weeks here in October with the family. Best Hotel that we have been to yet. Lovely and clean, pool area was spotless. Staff were very helpful and the sports people were super - we had lots of laughs with them - they really made our holiday. The pools were lovely - especially the one with the chute, the children were in it the whole day. There were plenty of sunbeds, but if you didn't get up early with the rest you had to take pot luck, but apart from that it was lovely. The food was great, roast beef, turkey, chicken and lamb, we were spoilt for choice, also fresh salmon and prawns. It is very central and on the flat so you have not to walk very far to get to the shops etc. The buses stop just across the road for the Parks - Siam Park and Aqua Park etc. The local buses are just around the next corner and are great especially if you get a Bono card. The fridge is empty and costs a euro per day as is the pool towels. We had a lovely time and will be going back again. "

Fantastic, right in the centre of the resort.
"We stayed at the Bitacora for one week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Even though it was October the weather was lovely. It is a great holiday for families, as it has many activities including a waterslide, minigolf, and even an play-area. The rooms are lovely and spacious with two beds and one sofa-bed. The restaurant inside the hotel is superb, with a great variety of food to choose from in the buffet. There are numorous flavours of ice-cream to choose from. Just along the road from the hotel there is a fantastic minigolf course, many shops and restaurants including an indoor undergroung shopping centre. There are at least two good value super-markets near-by. The hotel is also very close the beach. Overall, the hotel is abselutely brilliant, and we would love to go again."

Lovely Hotel - relaxing holiday
"Well what can I say...room was large, the largest I've had in a 4* hotel, meticulously cleaned every day (as was the rest of the hotel from reception to the pool areas). The food was great, wonderful choice for both breakfast and dinner. The staff attentive although service from the bar in the evening can be slowish if you are sitting on the terrace. The pool areas well managed, no problems getting sunbeds (don't have to get up at 6am !!!!). The location good, just an easy 10 minute stroll to the beach which is wonderfully sandy right down into the sea too and convenient for any number of bars (including some aweful 'British' ones but they are easy to 'avoid'). The entertainment generally of a good standard for those not wishing to venture out in the evening, although why it starts so late (10pm) I have no idea. Overall a wonderfully relaxing and even lazy holiday - just what we were looking for - but beware the sun is very hot from 12:30pm to 3:30pm if you lay out in it !!! Will we return - I certainly hope so."

Just returned from a 2 week holiday in H...
"Just returned from a 2 week holiday in Hotel Bitacora. This is the first time my wife, 5 year old boy and i have went to a hotel on half board basis as we had a bad experience some years ago staying half board in another resort. First impressions last and this really does. The rooms are super and i don't think you can ask for much more - there was space, cleanliness all you need for the amount of time you spend in your room. The Restaurant - well what more do you want? No-one staying here could never say there was nothing for them to eat.The food was great, we have a 5 year old boy and even he had something different every night. The staff are so helpful and friendly, from the waiters to the maids who clean your rooms. The pools are very big and suitable for all ages the way they are laid out, the life guard who looks after the slide always seems to be aware of what is going on around him. We came home and we all agreed that this is the best holiday we have ever had, and i can honestly say that the hotel was the main reason - even our 5 year old boy who has been to Alcudia the last 3 years with us said"this is the best holiday ever". I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone - couples or families you will have a great time."

We spent two weeks at the hotel Bitacora...
"We spent two weeks at the hotel Bitacora from 25th July. We had a fantastic holiday and loved the hotel. Everywhere very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, and food excellent. The hotel is in a great location very central and in a really nice area. I must dis-agree with the previous reviewer who must have been there at the same time as us. This isn't a quiet hotel, but we certainly never experienced larger louts or unruly children. We have a 10yr old son and from what we saw most of the children were well behaved, there were a lot of children in the hotel but we never saw or experienced any problems. There were a few kids running in and out and playing just after the show had finished on some evenings, but nothing that you wouldn't get at any hotel, we have certainly seen worse behaviour in the past ! The pool area is very hectic and busy but that is to be expected during the school holidays. There were no inflatables in the main large pool, we saw the life guard telling people off for trying to take inflatables in there on several occassions, there were inflatables only in the smaller kids pool. Getting a sun bed is a pain as people reserve them early, but we find that everywhere we go, if you want to choose where you sit you have to get up early ! We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an enjoyable family holiday. "
