Excellent Value, Fab Location and The Best Customer Service .....
"Me and my partner have just returned from our holiday in tenerife and the first thing i have done is write this review as we had such a lovely stay at the Marola Portasin. We stayed in a self cattering studio room. The room was clean tidy and had every thing you could need plenty of storage and comfortable beds. The kitchenette area had a fridge, microwave/grill, toaster, kettle and a touch screen hob. There was plenty of utensils, pots, pans and plates etc all of which was very clean. The bathroom was of an equal cleanliness standard and was fully functional. The pool was fantatic pleanty of sunbeds and ideal for couples and families ideal for children as they have a seperate shallow pool for them The Marola Portasin is located right in the middle of Playa de las Americas and Los Christianos both were in walking distance. It is situated close to a local supermarket for all your supplies and the beach is only 10 minutes away by foot. There is so much i could say about this hotel but not enugh space. Overall a fantastic place to stay good value for money ideally located wonderful facillaties and run by staff who will do anything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible."

"Lovely, clean, great location and excellent reception staff. You cant ask for anymore! The apartments are listed as a 1 key in Tenerife, but it is clearly a solid 3 star, Large pool, nice eating area, flat screen tv in room! I will upload pictures to trip adviser. Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic holiday, for the price I couldnt fault anything. There is confusion over the name of the apartments as the apartment block next door has a similar name ( Marola Park - ( pink building - To be fair this place looks good also ) - The company that own the apartments are "Stella Portosin Hotels" This review is for the Marola Portosin Apartments ( cream / white building )"

excellent place to stay
"just returned from a week in Tenerife, sadly holiday started bad and we had to move accomodation due to a terrible experience at another hotel, but we were so fortunate to be transfered to Marola, it was fantastic, clean rooms, 5 star service from staff, they are so friendly, within walking distance to some great restaurants and a large supermarket. my only complaint would be that it has not got air conditioning as it does get extremely hot. so if you get offered this accomodation don't hesitate it is well worth the money."

Friendly staff, clean, well managed
"I stayed at the end of July, beginning of August with my 12 yr old daughter for one week. The room was adequate, clean but positioned on a noisey road at front of building. This was the only downfall of my holiday, that and a couple of loud guests around the pool area, but I think you get that where ever you go. The staff were very friendly. I had expected the pool bar to stay open longer and serve a healthier option but there were plenty of other places close by to go to eat etc. It was a short walk to the beach but to be honest we spent most of our days by the onsite pool. I would recommend this place. We will be coming back."

A pleasant surprise!
"I stayed at the Marola Portosin with my housemate for a week in July 2010. Having read a couple of reviews on tripadvisor before we booked and considering the price we paid, I have to say we weren't expecting much.. but luckily the hotel exceeded all expectations. We were going with the intention of chilling out, sunbathing and reading books, but also to be within easy reach of the nightlife/clubs should we want to go out on the taaan, and this hotel is in a perfect location for Los Cristianos (more family orientated) and Playa De Las Americas - approx. 10-20 minute walk either way to reach both. The room was basic but clean, although when we first got there they'd turned off the fridge so there was water all over the floor.. but no major problem. Our balcony was large and we were positioned in a corner so felt relatively secure with only having one neighbour. The pool area is clean and well maintained, the staff at the reception were both lovely and very helpful, the pool bar food isn't great but it's standard - English fry ups and burgers/chips etc, not exactly traditional cuisine but then you don't expect it really! The rooms were cleaned almost every day, and the towels changed once or twice. The kitchen is basic but again, you get what you pay for - we ended up going down to the Supermarket (3 minute walk from the hotel) and making pasta dishes etc. We also made friends with our neighbours so left the balcony doors open all day - we didnt feel worried about the security aspect of it, and we also kept the doors open at night. There isn't any air con which I was particularly worried about, but with the doors open there was quite a breeze so we didn't suffer too much, although this is probably the only downside I would say. I was also surprised that, baring in mind this is Tenerife in mid season, the other people at the hotel were quiet and minded their own business, there were quite a few groups of girls obviously on a girly holiday but they were all sensible and not rowdy which was perfect for us! We'd heard from our neighbours that the week before there were a group of approx. 15 lads who ended up getting kicked out of the hotel for making too much noise, so if you want somewhere cheap but not full of drunken teenagers then this is the place to stay. I would definately recommend this to couples, groups of friends and families - we had a good time (albeit relatively civilised!) and I would definately stay here again for a cheap and cheerful week in the sun."

For what you pay. Its astonishingly good
"Stayed with a group of friends here in Summer 2010. Had already been to Tenerife, having stayed playa de las americas a year previous. This was cheaper, substantially cheaper, which left us slightly concerned, once it was all booked up, and the lack of reviews for this place on the net. But we needn't had been worried at all. Despite our thoughts checking in at about 2am, having to pay a heavy deposit and being strictly told the rules, we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. The rooms and particularly the baconies are huge, extensively clean and well maintained by friendly cleaners everyday. The staff at reception do everything they can to help their guests, but the pick of the staff is obviously alex, the guy at the pool bar, who is simply superb and great a nursing a cracking hangover! The pool area is well set out, clean and not too busy, which is nice after a heavy night out on the strip! If your staying here, your likely to be on a budget, and the security is second to none. The nightguard, affectionatley nicknamed 'manuel' patrols the hotel like a praying mantra. And this is a good thing. we hired out the safe, but it wasnt particuarly neccessary, as the security is so good. I couldn't say enough good things about this hotel. Its small, well looked after and the guests come top priority. Apperently its a 1*. Of that i have no idea, because it was better than every 3* I've stayed at. In fact, if i come back to Tenerife again, I would jump at the chance to stay here again. People don't know how good this hotel is, as its a little out of the way, or not very large. But its superb."

Couldnt fault this hotel def stay here again
"Just got back from a week at the stella polaris marola and enjoyed it very much. This is the white hotel next to the pink mar-ola and the stella polaris is better by far. Room and pool were excellent. You can hire all sorts of electrical eqpt from ghd hair straighteners to dvd players and even an xbox if ur kids get bored. The hotel is well managed and you can get great food and drinks from the poolside bar all done by Alex who is a legend will do anything for u and makes an excellent cocktail. There are showers in the poolside building too and u can easily spend ur whole holiday at the hotel if u wish. You can get poolside massage bogof and sun care advice all provided by the hotel foc. Had evening flight back so left bags with the reception and spent last day at the pool which was one of the best days of our week. You do need to leave a â¬60 deposit on arrival but this is promptly returned when u check out and u will need this for ur last day anyway. 10/10 guys and its only a 5 min walk to las vistas beach which is the best in the area. 15 min walk to veronicas strip but nice to be out of the noise and do pop into oh la la for a coffee and something to eat on ur way back to the hotel even the local police eat here and they are open 24/7."

Great location, a little noisy! A brilliant holiday.
"We stayed at the Stella Polaris Mar-Ola Portosin. Firstly, this is often confused with Mar-Ola Park. Stella Polaris is actually a couple of doors down. The coach even dropped us at Mar-Ola Park Apartments! When we booked excursions we had to say Mar-Ola Park as no one seemed to register Stella Polaris. The apartments are on a main road which can be noisy at night. There are a couple of restaurants under the apartments that also carry noise. I slept with ear plugs in the whole week and slept fine. Also on arrival we were advised that they required a 60 euro deposit. A little annoying if you've budgeted and we had no advance warning of this. That was the couple of bad points. The apartments are quite big. The front door enters on the road side of the building and the balcony opens up onto the pool side. The balcony was bigger than anywhere else we've stayed and had table and chairs to eat or drink at. Two single beds, sofa, flat screen TV with satellite channels (a few English), hob (no oven, we found out the after buying a pizza!), microwave and fridge. Plenty of plates, pans and cutlery etc. There was a safe, 15euros for the week. We didn't use it, just locked everything in our case and it was fine. Very clean, though the floor seemed to get very dirty. I ended up with black feet! Though we left the please clean sign on the door and the floor was cleaned. Towels provided and changed regularly. The shower was great, bathroom very clean. We didn't use the pool, but it didn't look to busy and there were enough sun beds. There is a café bar next to the pool that serves food and drinks. Think this shut at early at night though so there's no noise from there. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Main bus stops right outside. The location is excellent. A 5 minute walk from the lovely beach, a large supermarket a few minutes walk and some restaurants around the apartments. A 10 minute walk to the main restaurants and bars. The only annoying thing about going into the centre is the guys trying to sell you sunglasses while you're eating your meal! We must have said no around 10 times on one evening! Tenerife is lovely, one of the best holidays we've had. We pre booked some excursions online with Tenerife Sunshine and that was really good. All our pickups and tickets emailed in advance. Excellent holiday."
