don't waste your time
"We arrived after 6pm. By that time it seems to be a good place to stay. During the night some drunken people went running around the pool, screaming and shouting. Needless to say we awoke up. Next day we had someone walking into our room. Accordingly to the reception staff, it was our fault. However, I can guarantee the door was locked.
Then in the same day we were moved to a room that looked more like a basement riding place. After that staff was very hostile.
Dare to stay there if you don't want any peaceful time. "

well worth the money
"myself my husband and 2 children age 13 & 16 stayed at laguna park 1 from 9th-23rd july 09 and i thought it was well worth the money nice and clean bar and reception pool area slippy but most are ,, every1 was friendly Neil was the entainter/dj he would do a few activaies in the day with the kids not suitable 4 under 8s killer darts pool and riffle shooting the entainment at night had a few good shows Avril was brill well worth watching and the commedian was good the magic show was ok 4 the kids then snake/bird show on about 4 times in the 2 wks once u have seen it once well???
The hotel has lots of resturants and bars right on the door step there is a shopping centre 5 min, walk the beach is about 10 min walk and there are lots of bars by the beach ect siam park was great and not to expencive i think it was 24 euro,s but worth it that was about a 10 min walk from hotel past shopping centre keep going and you soon see it or i was told 3 euro,s in taxi it opens at 10 but be there for 9.15 as que,s get massive back to the hotel it was a lot quiter than i thought is was going to be think we had 2-3 loud nights The first week the beds were not changed and the room was,nt cleaned but after i complained it was done every over day clean towels about every 3 days i would go back as i no its close to everything i want"

"Apartment was basic had to pay for toaster which was a joke as we where selfcatering an to rent a safe they charge us 45euro for twoweeks then they give you 5euro back when you are leaving.Thought that was a bit much.
cleaner's where in every other day beds where clean.no air conditioning and it was very warm at night left our window an patio door open alnight as we where on second floor. Swimming pool was lovely but you had to be up at 9Oclock to put your towels down or you would'nt get a bed some poeple didnt go near there beds allday but had towels on them.If you buy an umberella in the shops for 6euro you can use it at the pool and it saves you from paying for theirs everyday.desk staff where friendly we didnt use the bar or entertainment on site as we went down to the pier and a long the sea front as there was more to pick from.We thought aqualand was great an their new waterpark was terrible as they let thousands in and it is very expencive.gokarts was great my family went twice will worth the money good holiday but dont think i would use these apartments again "

"So good for young people!
We were mucked up by our travel company and decided to come here instead. What a fantastic move we made. This hotel is fantastic its close to everywhere. The pool and apartments are amazing! I looooved it!!! Ahh Playa de les Americas is the ultimate for nightlife, the beach is gorgeous, it hit 33 degrees in June :D it was sooo good. he aqua parks and Jungle Park was amazing! Siam Park is a must and was just so much fun we went twice! Totally going back, such a lovely hotel, great location everything was fab!!!!!
Go to the Laguna Park I its the best decision you will make.
Ohh and if you are worrying about the euro, dont loads of the bars and clubs are 2 for 1 or 1st shot free. And if you go to the supermarket and buy your own drink and drink before you go out you will save money! Its really cheap in the Supermarkets!
Went to Marmaris last Summer, Playa de las Americas was soooo much better! Marmaris is full of sleazy men and creepy walks back, i felt so safe in PDLA and to be honest the beaches, things to do and clubs/bars are sooo much better!"

basic but good!
"Just arrived back yesterday from an excellent holiday. Before going, had read all the reviews about these apartments, and i must admit i was a bit sceptical! However, having just returned,i wonder what some people are looking for in a package holiday!!!
Yes the apartment was basic, but had all the essentials.Yes you had to pay for kettles, toasters etc,but if you are wiling to come out of your comfort zone(and use a little bit of effort) you are supplied with a stove kettle, and there is a cooker(with grill) that make tea n toast perfectly(oh dear,it may take 2 mins longer, lol). You do have to pay for tv(5 euros gets you 24 hrs),and 35 euros for safe(you get 5 back when you leave).
I must say though that our family loved the apartments(we were in 103d on ground floor),our 3 year old daughter loved the pool, and the reception staff were excellent. We had a fault with our shower, explained to reception, and was fixed that day.
Rooms were cleaned most days, towels changed etc,as per usual package holiday style.
Situated in an excellent place,5 mins walk to puerto colon harbour,5-10 mins from las americas(nightlife),waterparks closeby, plenty of shops restaurants just outside complex, all in all just what you are looking for.
One thing i would say though, there is an irish bar that is open till 5am directly across from the apartments and i dare say if your room was situated there it could become noisy, but from what i saw,all families were situated on the other side of the complex(like us) away from the noise.
Would recommend the little italians just outside complex for meals, little bit more expensive, but nice.Stay out of the francis(they gave us lasagne in tomato soup, lol),and the ship is excellent for cooked brekkies!
Cant really comment on food/entertainment,as we did our own thing, but hey, there is plenty for all within 5 mins walk!
So all in all i would give this place the thumbs up,as i said, its not the ritz, but if you wanted the ritz, you would pay for it! enjoy!

Value for money and FAB!!!
"Stayed in Laguna PArk 1 on 08th of May till 15th of May 2009.
I know that there are terrible reviews on the internet, about
this hotel. And honestly i can't see why poeple would write these
things. I do understand that the hotel isn't 4 or 5 star. But easyly
3 star (for a self catering). Hotel was clean, well maintained.
Very Center of things. Might be a bit noisy, but nothing serious.
Pool was a bitt chilly at first, but once you get in and moving
it's lovely. We were there as a family (2+2) (boys 6&8), and the
kids LOVED it, could't get them out. As so many reviews say, there
are PLENTY of sunbeds, but you do have to pay for the soft matress
and parasol. Breakfast in the morning is buffet, pretty ok and only
â¬4 for adults, â¬2 for kids. And PLEASE, PLEASE rent a safe, there is
nothing worse than loosing money or valuables during your holidays.
Im not saying that you will get robbed (no incidents while we were
there, but you'll never know. Safe is 25 per week and you'll get 5
back. Also the kettle and fan and toster is for rent. But honestly,
we did't see the point in those. There is a regular kettle in the
room for old school water boiling, and if you leave the windows open
at night the air is not too stuffy. Rooms were plenty big (we only
stayd on the balcony or bed;) ) twin beds in bed room and two sofas,
for kids, in living room. towels and linen changed 3 times (per week)
and turndown every other day. Friendly staff, although didn't interact
much, but helped if we needed no prob.
pretty ok, 1 fellow was horrible, didn't like his sense of humor, but that's
just us. Did'n see the reptile show, but saw the huge snakes, BRILLIANT! Kids
loved it and us too. The knofe throwing show is incredible, a must see. Others
are ok, but nothing special.
Now if you want info on Tenrife and things to do read on:
MUST SEES: Loro Parque, Siam Park, Submarine ride, Mount Teide (1/2 day with
going up with cable car), The boat trip to see dolphins.
Loro Parque: FANTASTIC!!!!! quite a lot of different animals, but the shows are
a must and the aquarium and penguins. Go see the Orca show first, then Dolphins,
then Loro show (Parrots and other birds) and then Seals.
Orcas anre massive and fantastic. Dolphins great with hiogh jumps, and the seals
are brilliant with all the tricks and balls. See the shows for sure! And get a
camcorder to film them, well worth watching again later.
Siam Park: Fun for kids and adults, something for everyone. Even for small children.
Lots of things to choose from, from scary to just fun. And the tallest free fall
water tower in Europe...SCARYYYY!! And wave machine making highest waves you have
seen. One word: FAB! Don't miss it, GO!
Submarine Ride: "We all Live in a yellow submarine..." You'll go down with a pretty
yellow submarine, and you'll see Ray's and small fish, its pretty blue just but you
can see well enough to enjoy the ride fully, bad photos though, but regular vision
is great. Deffinately worth the experience.
Mount Teide: We unfortunately didn't do the cable car, but took the full day with
Teide and Island tour. (Not a good idean roads VERY windy and most of us got motion
sick) So just take 1/2 day and go up if you aren't afraid of heights (we are;) ).
Boat Trip: Lots of providers, We went on Eden Catamaran. Small boat, fits about 30
people. Pretty good, buy boy did it sway and me and one of the boys got SO sea sick
it was horrible. But the first hour was ok and we did see dolphins. Trip was
altogether 3h. Food and drink for free. Was the cheapest on the market.
Best Value for money and one of the best places to eat "La Teracita". And the cool
thing is that they serve their drinks from a glass boots :).
Above the San Eugenios CC (shopping centre) 5 min down the road to the left).
And also Mercadona there as well (like Tesco). Buy your food there! Much cheaper.
Sun: Wear lots of sun cream or you WILL burn sevearly!!! We did, even though we
had cream (not everyday though :( ) And be specially aware of cloudy sky, the sun
still gets you, that's how we burnt, and badly!
All in all great place to stay, value for money and close to the beach, shopping, and lots more.

Not if your fussy
"A very basic place. television, electric kettle, toaster all charged at rip off prices. Its cheaper to buy from supermarket and throw away afterwards. If they can charge you for anything........they will. But if your on holiday, who wants a telly!!!.
Apartments were OK but not very clean.Maid comes in to change the dirty towels and sheets alternate days. The blankets are manky....dead skin, food, fag ash, vomit, semen, and I,m sure even dog hairs on them. If the maid is in the mood, she will push the dirt about a bit, but usually leaves it for you to pick up with your feet.
Good points are that it is in a good location, has a good saltwater pool, and the entertainment is fairly good. Big Ed the entertainer is very proficient.
Although its very basic, I would use this place again because of its location to bars , shopping and beaches."

"Just returned from 10 days at the Laguna Park 1 in Adeje, and can recommend it to anyone who wants a no frills place to stay.
We stayed in E block, and we had a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool area.
The apartment is quite adequate, but not cleaned very efficiently by the maid. a very quick visit left the floor unswept so we always had dirty feet. Apart from this and old filthy blankets (and i mean filthy)the place is adequate.
The bar is not the cheapest, but the entertainer, Big Ed makes it worth a visit.
After the kids disco there is a show every night, some fairly good, and a couple that are excellent. Make sure you see Jonny Circus, as he is brilliant. This is followed by very loud karaoke every night until the early hours.
When you leave the hotel, turn left for the excellent shopping centre, its only a 3 or 4 minutes walk, so no need to use the supermarket adjoining the hotel.
There is an alleyway next to the Irish bar facing the hotel, this will take you to the wonderful beach area in approx 5 Min's....
There are numerous bars and restaurants adjacent and all are fairy reasonable.
All in all, if your not fussy, the Laguna Park 1 is to be recommended for its location and simplicity."

"Just got back from a fab holiday to the Laguna Park I. Stayed in Block C and had no complaints. Apartments cleaned every day, towels changed twice in the week that we stayed there. Hotel staff very friendly. Didn't actually have anything to eat at the hotel as the restaurant was closed on an evening - possibly due to going in Winter time - was open for breakfast but never managed to sample it. We stayed for the entertainment one night in the hotel but it wasn't really our cup of tea - magic act although my 16 year old son did enjoy tying the spanish assistant up.
Would recommend a trip to the Monkey Park 10 euros per adult and 5 euros per child. We had an excellent time as you could actually feed the monkeys and have them climb on you. Also did a boat trip to see the whales and dolphins thoroughly enjoyable day 18 euros each which included sandwiches and all drinks either alcoholic or soft drinks.
Some lovely restaurants on the beach front - 3 course for 8.50 euros but stay away from Noray restauarant whole 3 courses were awful, the steak had never seen a cow and the fish was dry and full of bones.
Bars to try are St Eugene's on a night huge pub and great compare but was a little pricey for the drinks. Also next the Lotus Garden chinese restaurant there is a small pub call The Beehive excellent night out if you like a good atmosphere with karoake. Angelo the barman was very friendly and let us stay until very early hours. Beer very cheap in there too compared to some - Beer 2 euros, a pint of vodka and lemonade was 4 euros and a pint of JD and coke was 6 euros. Yes I said a pint so you can imagine what state we were in most nights.
All in all we read some of the reviews for this hotel but I can honestly say we had a fabulous time considering this was our first time in Tenerife. Would definately go back to Tenerife and would stay in the Laguna Park I.

"My husband and i and 2 boys aged 14 and 10 went to tenerife last aug 2008 and stayed at laguna park 1,our first time in tenerife staying at laguna park 1. I had read many stories about how awful it was and in a way was dreading it. The apartment at first site was two small and the kitchen space was terrible, you have to lean into the sink to cook,we were in block d, there was a few items missing from bathroom, and i think with a good night sleep things would look much better.I must say they did, staff were friendly and replaced missing item from bathroom with out any fuss, and hey presto hoilday begins.loved it we went to beach everyday as pool quite packed and was not our thing.laguna park is a lovely hotel could not recommend it enough, if you like to beach it.the rooms are a little outdated but lets face it we all come on holiday for the sun not the room, the towels are kept well changed and dust can be a problem but ask and they will get it cleaned again and know to spend more time on it, the hotel itself is bright and inviting in the sun.if you come out of the hotel cross road to irish bar go down steps this will lead you to path that takes you to a road cross and go down lifts at shops which takes you directly to beach 5mins away its perfect.Quick way.... tenerife laguna 1 was amazing so much we are all heading back in july for a fornight, and can't wait..hubby wanted to try somewhere else
but laguna 1 is handy to everything and we have tryed lots of other countries but i loved tenerife..sad thing is the only down fall is the euro rate.."

not bad at all
"4 adults in the one apartment was a bit of a worry when we had read some of the reviews but it worked out great, we were in apartment 105b which is opposite pool and was occasionally noisy when people were wandering home in the middle of the night but overall was great, apartment was cleaned and towels changed 6 out of 7 days, beds changed once a week, reception and entertainment staff were great, drinks in apartments were reasonable price compared to some other places. Loads of places to eat round about also lane across round (although we called it cockroache alley at night) took you down to more eateries and just a further short walk to Porto Colom harbour. Would say apartments are more in Costa Adeje but great service at the door can take you anywhere. supermarket in apartments are fine but if you wander along to the shopping mall few hundred yards away, tucked at the back and downstairs there is a large supermarket that all the locals go to and sells everything much much cheaper than wee shops. Only prob is carrying it, but water etc is half the price. All in All would go back again."
