Dirty and old

"This hotel was at best poor until day 4 of our holiday, when 62 Spanish 8 year old arrived, it then became awful .. They were on the floor below me . They were noisy. instead of filtering them 20 per time they moved everywhere 62 strong . They also decided to play tag until 12pm in the corridor. I was refused to be moved away from them . The excuse no rooms available was used. There were cracks everywhere including round the kitchenette area , which is not hygienic, the fridge was old, not working and rusty, no kettle toaster or anything else in these over priced rooms. There were pubic hairs all over the apartment loads especially in the shower area. there were also long black hair everywhere. When they changed the sheets they stank of mans sweat. The beds were uncomfortable. My bed dented in the middle, I woke in pain 3 times a night and every morning. The life guard moved other paying guests away from the pool area to accommodate the 62 loud children which I found a liberty. The drinks were over priced at the bar. Only 2 staff were friendly and helpful 1 only became like this after a tip. On day 3 of stay we were disgusted to find a used condom swaying in the wind from the balcony. I assume upstairs slung it out. We were by the road which was very loud at 6-7 am when all the bin trucks are going up and down, also drunken revelers kept us awake. There seems to be a 1 rule for uk traveler and a different rule for Spanish, double standards are not appealing! The food was shocking most nights , we ate out instead of having chewy cheap meat or rubbish fish , ropy salad , The breakfast was also not great, frankfurters cut in half , either under cooked or over cooked bacon and rubbery egg. The children are an annual occurrence don't go here in June unless you want burst eardrums"

"Has anyone stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment? I have booked through alpha rooms and when i emailed the hotel to request a pool view they have replied saying the 2 bedroom apartment does not have any balcony. I am a bit worried with having 2 toddlers and no outside space, so would just like to know if anyone has stayed in them and how bad it is with no balcony."

"We stayed at the Andorra aprtments in the beginning of June 2012. We could not fault the service we had from the Staff nothing was too much trouble when asked anything. The rooms were spotlessly clean and maids came in every day while we were there which was 9 nights. The Bedroom was a nice size and very big beds which were comfy. The living area was quite big and a nice size balcany with views to the mountains on the left and down the street with sea views. We also had Airconditioning which was very good. The Swimming pool is very nice area around it is spotless and there are 2 pools which you can use which have a Lifeguard viewing over both. Lovely location Only a few minutes walk down the street to the sea and if you like music bars the Strip is 2 minutes walk or if you want the Patch which has nice bars and Resturants a few minutes down the other side. We had a lovely holiday and would reccomend these apartments. We would use these again when stopping in that area."

"My partner and I have just come back from a week at the Andorra Apartments where we had a relaxing and mostly stress free holiday. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment, no. 306 which was west facing (good if you don't want the roasting sun first thing in the morning) and had a view to the mountains as well as the sea. Although dated, the apartment was very clean and kept to a good standard with a working fridge and hob. The beds aren't brilliant but they are comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. The apartment also overlooked a busy walkway down to the beach as well as the main shopping street and bars which was quiet most of the day until late at night when people were coming home from a night out but wasn't too troublesome. The hotel itself is far enough away from the action to have a relaxing stay and at the same time just a very short walk to a cheap supermarket, shopping, bars, restaurants and the beaches. IMPORTANT: during our last couple of days there (a monday night), a handful of apartments were robbed in the same block on a variety of floors. Luckily we weren't one of them but it definitely left me feeling more than uneasy that someone could wander around the complex unchallenged. They had no problem breaking in/opening the main doors and even a safe was opening without force and a large sum of money was stolen so make sure you double lock your doors and don't put all of your money/expensive belongings in one place!"

"The Andorra Apartments were exactly as described. They are basic apartments. The apartments are cleaned everyday and the towels were changed whenever they needed replacing. The have two small but clean pools and an abundance of sunbeds to go around. The staff were friendly and approachable, always ready to answer any questions you may have. Within easy reach of the nightlife, 2 mins walk to the strip, 5 mins walk to the patch and about 15 mins away from Veronicas. Los Cristianos is also within easy walking distance. Should you like shopping, there are several large shopping arcades within 5 mins. The beach is also within easy walking distance from the apartments. "

"just back from andorra apartments and really enjoyed this hotel. The staff werte very pleasant and very helpful apartments were a great size with everything supplied except kettle and toaster,a bit of a problem if you are going self catering, television was 3euro a day if you wanted extra channels otherwise only has cnn channel. We went on a half board basis ,the food was pretty good most nights but would not recommend half board if you are taking children with you.pool area quite adequate and cleaned every morning, maids came in everyday and towels changed every day.I would recommend if you are booking there is two sides to this hotel one side is only 2 star other side 3 star which has air con which is needed in peak season.Location could not be better only several minutes away and entertainment very good albeit a little bit expensive for drinks."

"no air conditioning in middle of july is not a good idea but the apartments don't have any. no kettle, no toaster, no microwave.,no depth markers at pool which i feel there should be but does have life guard. very basic, not spotlessly clean but passable. clean towels provided every day which was good. some ants in bedroom but was sorted quickly when reception was informed. some apartments are private. buffet breakfast 4 euro which was good value but not the best, 2 of our party ate there every day but the rest of us found good british food just round the corner for 3.50 euro. really good location so if your not fussy or got a bargain it would be ok. just round the corner to the left and left again is some good bars. hole in the wall irish bar very good. all within walking distance though some nites we got taxi from dubliner bar 5 euro. great bar. everything quite reasonable considering euro at minute. montana restaurant is fab, all our food was very good could not fault any of it. would recommend bus from airport for a couple of euros and it is very central drop off location. markets not great, all the usual stuff that you can buy in the shops.i'm going to say that i would recommend this hotel but only if you got a bargain. i think you could do much better. also there is no bar at night and no entertainment, although your not short of other places to visit. there is a hairdresser on site which was very reasonable. we didn't visit any of the parks as we were there to relax. the items that i have ticked in the describe you trip box are not to do with the hotel but the area."

"We stayed at the Andorra Apartments in July 2009 after booking it all independantly (Flights, Transfers and Accomodation) and what a smooth ride it was. The Andorra Hotel is a fantasitc 3* hotel where the staff are very very friendly along with residents who live there full time. The Andorra is split in to parts, a hotel and also self catering apartments to which we stayed. On arrival into the Andorra the receptionist was very helpful and sorted out or little issue with the keys by ringing the owner and with 10 minutes our keys where there (this was a slight complication as the cleaner didnt hand the key back into the reception). i didnt see this as a massive problem so i had a beer at the bar. The Aprtment we stayed in was on the ground floor and hadeverything we could ask for, infact it was home from home just about, we had full set of clean sode towels each, Kettle, Oven, Toaster, Microwave, Tall standing fridge freezer, all pots and pans, full selection of plates, knifes, forks etc along with all the cooking utensils you need. we also had cleaning materials (after all we were self catering). the Apartment on arrival was very very clean including the bedroom, bathroom and lounge along with the external patio area. We were also blessed with the contact details of the owner should we have any problems during our stay (mobile and land line) which is a little re-assuring when you've booked it seperate. On the day of our departure after our 2 weeks stay we asked if any one was coming in to the apartment after us as we had to be our at 10am but didnt fly til late night and the owner (Jim) had not issues with us keeping the apartment on for a few hours so we could benifet from a shower and security of our luggage prior to us leaving and this was given to us at no additional cost. However the Andorra hotel has a locked luggae room which you can also use should people not be as gifted as we were. The andorra also has 2 large swimming pools both with shallow ends and deep ends to suit all swim types of people (kids etc) and there is also a baby pool. the pools were cleaned on a daily basis buy the caretaker and as were the aras around the pools buy the traditional mop and bucket. Overall value for money = Excellent as we booked independantly so found the cheapest / best flights as accomodation is more important to me rather then the flight. The Andorra location is prime, set between los cristianos and las americas, not too close to veronicas nightlife. We also ate in the restaurant at the hotel where the food was lovely Tenerife has a lot to do and it was my first visit there and i would have no hesitations in going back especially self catering as there is a lot of choice and variety to do. The people in Tenerife (natives) were really helpful and polite. Tenerife is slightly on the expensive front for food and drink but this was expected due to the poor euro rate at the minute however this didnt put us off. Overall the Andorra Apartments and Hotel is a very very clean place where you can tell that all the people who work there take pride in what they do and aim to please. Thank you. This review is 100% legit and i have no issue with people contacting me to share my views. Andy & Maria (Kingston upon Hull)"
