"Stayed at Santa Barbara in September, weather great, very hot. We asked for and got a top floor apartment, 8th floor, overlooking the sea, as they all do I think. The apartment was very good, clean and well maintained. We had air con and ceiling fans, we were much needed. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. However we were harassed each day by the concierge asking us to have a meeting with a rep. We finally relented even thought we knew what to expect. We were told this would take 90 minutes, three hours later we were still there, last ones in, couldn't get away. We said we weren't buying anything and a woman there berated us for going to the meeting if we weren't interested, why harass us then? Melrose Restaurant is very good, as is the pool bar. We didn't eat at Ocean Breeze bar. The entertainment is very, very, very noisy. We were going to go to a Movie Quiz at the W Pub at 9.30 one night, when we arrived at 9.25 there was an ear splitting kid's disco on, we had to leave, poor kids and staff. The Ocean Breeze entertainment is very noisy too. We were on the 'quiet' side of the resort and it was still very loud. There are loads of bars and restaurants to go to round about, we had a car but we hardly used it. You can park underground for a charge and we had free Wi-FI which didn't work very well in the apartment, it was better on the balcony. Overall I would say that Santa Barbara is a great place to stay, if you don't mind loud music at night and loud pool music games during the day. "

Best family holiday!
"We have just returned from a weeks holiday and it was the best so far! All the staff were polite and helpful, the 2 bed apartment was very spacious with a huge balcony, spotless too. Our children aged 3 and 8 loved the pool but thoroughly enjoyed the children's animation team the most, they were so friendly and funny. The family games around the pool were fab and though we were busy in the day and didn't use the kids club then, we attended the kids entertainment most nights, the party songs, games and shows were fantastic. The resort is pretty quiet, but that suited us with a young family, there is transport to the lively resorts. The medieval night is a must for adults. We will definately be going back, we really didn't want to leave."

Best Holiday Ever!!!!!
"I stayed there last year with my parents, Brother & sister-in-law, it was one of the best holidays I have been on and I would love to go back. It is such a nice hotel my parents have been there 4 times and are in fact there right now. I would recommend this hotel to any one who wants to go to Tenerife. "

excellent place to go
"Santa barbara is an excellent place to stay for all the familly. They have kids entertainers during the day and also the kids are catered for in the evening when they are given there awards for the afternoon kids clubs .Every evening they also have different shows which are fun and can be a good laugh .I have been there on several occasions the staff are excellent and will assist you with all your needs. make sure you get out early in the morning to get your sun loungers , because they get taken quite quickly.Beware of the time share side off this hotel do not invest as it is cheaper to book as a hotel and flights, as the time share maintenance per year is approx £1000.and rising every year. On the upside book it as you would any normal holiday and you will not regret it. Enjoy your trip "

"This Hotel is the best I have ever stayed in. The staff, especially Teresa and Mario at the front desk and Merce the lady who cleaned our apartment, were all really helpful and did their jobs superbly. The hotel itself was brilliant. Everything at hand in the kitchen, nothing left out, a satellitte t.v., music system, fans in the living room and bedroom, a totally fabulous place that I would have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends, and we will definitely be returning. A well deserved 10 out of 10."

"As a family with 3 boys under 12 years old this hotel was brilliant. The apartment was spotless, huge and had ocean and pool views (apt 306 if anyone wants to know). The pool was crystal clear and warm, kids pool a little chilly, but when they are jumping around they dont notice. As we had a few cloudy days the boys stayed in and watched films that were played at 9am and 5pm everyday, such as Pirates of the Carribean, Cars etc. Lovely restaurant nearby called Harbour Lights. Not much to do in the immediate area but if you are looking for a relaxing quiet place to stay then this is for you. Im not one for entertainment but during the day there was t-shirt painting for the kids and boules etc for adults then the evening entertainment was a kids disco with games, which again we dont often go to but it was very good and the boys loved it, the adult entertainment was also good. All staff were most helpful and friendly. You wont be disappointed!"

"Have been to this hotel several times with my nan and grandad and also a friend of mine. we spent two weeks here and thought it was amazing. there was so much for us to do in the disco/nightclub and also very close to San Miguel where there are several other restaurants and bars there. Over the two weeks there must have been around 20 of us and there was lots to keep us entertained. during the day there was water polo or aerobics. also, at the side of the small childrens pool area, there is table tennis and snooker and other kids club activities to take part in the restaurants just around the corner from the hotel are very nice. and also on certain dates if you walk past them and carry on walking, there is a market with lots of different stalls on. well worth a trip. also, across the road from the hotel is an irish bar called The Wild Geese. this is a tremendous pub and hosted serveral big premiership games whilst I was there. Las Americas is close by and cheap to get to. excurisons are well worth the time. can't wait to come back here again the staff are excellent. the rooms are huge and spotless. and the view from the balcony is brill. "Absoloutly love this hotel, it looks stunning and has gorgeous views of the sea. First went in march 2006 and am going again in october 2008 with family. its very much a family orientated hotel as theres not much entertainment for younger people. as being a young adult myself i found there wasnt really much to do on the resort entertainment wise, not sure whether thats to do with not being in there in peak season. still though its a lovely hotel, beautifully furnished rooms and the staff there are extremely helpful and friendly. no problems at all with disturbances or late night noise. oh yes i do remeber there being a disco/bar at the hotel, although have never been! location is great as close to airport approxiamtely 10 minute drive. found a great mexican resturaunt just out of the hotel, if you turn left as you come out of reception and carry on past the car park entrance then turn left to go down towards the beach, i remeber walking down a windy path then turning right definatly recommend! there is a shop in the hotel which supplys many useful items food/cleaning/toiletries/cigarettes/ kids stuff etc but nearest supermarket is just a short drive away near another complex where you will find other shops and resturaunts. hope this is useful info to anyone!"

"We have just returned from a 7 day break over New Year and we found this complex to be excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient - nothing appeared to be a problem. The accommodation was spotless, well equipped and spacious. The balcony of our apartment was huge and overlooked the marina - a beautiful view to waken up to every morning. The restaurant, Elefante Blanc, served lovely food at a similar cost to surrounding restaurants. There was entertainment on every night in the disco and DJ Dave was a treat to listen to. We were very sorry to have to leave. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a relaxing break which is exactly what we were looking for. We took a taxi in to Las Americas on a couple of occasions which cost about 20 euros each way although the bus journey is only about 4 euros each. We certainly would love to return at some point."
