"if you're looking for cheap and cheerful you wont beat Alondras park it's definitely not like a 5 star hotel but it does have a certain spark the apartments are clean and basic but goodness why would anyone want to spend any time just sitting indoors when outside there's glorious sun 3 beautiful pools - a cracking pool bar and the service i got was 5 star by far drinks food music and fun i got it all as i lay in the sun mine host Flaviano just couldn't do enough to keep all sunbathers happy as he served and strutted his stuff drinks were cheap food cheap too it was just a joy to have nothing to do 'cept lie in the sun put up my feet if you want pure relaxation Alondras Park just can't be beat and for me a time that was really nice was happy hour when drinks were half price i had a wonderful time it's true if you give it a try I'm sure you will too yes folks i'd recommend alondres park Anna Fraser "

Try somewere else
"On arrival the accommodation was not as described in the description which was as follows The Alondras Park Apartments offer basic but comfortable self catering apartments which make a great base for those looking for a property in the central resort area, close to the local shops, bars, pubs, cafes & restaurants which are all within a short walk here in the resort of Costa del Silencio. Alondras Park has 3 swimming Pools with ample sun terraces & a small on-site supermarket for your needs. Costa del Silencio is a quieter, peaceful resort situated just 10km from Tenerife South airport and 12km from the neighbouring resorts of Los Cristianos & Playa de las Americas. The accommodation offered was dirty, furniture broken, unsafe electrics, and numerous other faults On arrival at the Holiday complex Aprox 21-00 hours on Sunday 8th January 2012 no record could be found by Alondras Park Apartments reception of our booking After a while me and the his wife were taken to an apartment and told it was only one available that night, and to go to reception the following morning and different accommodation would be found on going into the apartment it was found to be in a disgusting state the front door would not lock, broken lights, stained and wet mattresses with springs protruding through the electrics did not seem safe wiring patched up and joined with adhesive tape towels left from the previous occupier no kettle dirty crockery we protested about its condition but was told thatâs all that was available by this time it was approx 21-45 so they had to put up with it I took photos to show the condition The following day other accommodation was found again this was not suitable but the management said it was only till Wednesday so we took it as it was marginally better than the first accommodation in that the door would at least lock, but again this was in an appalling condition graffiti written on the furniture someone had started to saw up the sideboard a lot of the drawers had no bottoms in them the shower had a fork jammed in the slide rail the filth in here was obscene we had to buy cleaning equipment to make the place habitual I took photos me and the his wife saw reception at Alondras Park Apartments on the Wednesday & Thursday about being moved but no further accommodation was forthcoming we contacted by e mail customer services at Co-op travel explaining the situation and hoping they would do something about it On the Saturday Morning nothing had happened and there was no response from coop travel there was now an issue with cockroaches in the apartment, around 10-15 am we contacted reception about the cockroaches and they said they would send someone to deal with it but by 4-00pm the situation remained the same we had also throughout the day called in reception several times to chase them up about dealing with cockroaches We had decided on the Saturday morning to look for other accommodation or get a flight home as we could stand the situation no longer We spent the Saturday trying to find other accommodation late Saturday evening we managed to get other accommodation which was farther away from the centre of the resort than the Alondras Park Apartments (this was the reason we booked Alondras Park Apartments as it was close to amenities) On moving to the other accommodation this now meant getting to the centre of the resort I had to use taxis to get to the amenities ( I am disabled walking distances can difficult for me) On return from holiday we supplied the coop with photos of the state of apartment and informed them about the issues that arose whilst at Alondras Park We are now taking the coop to court this will be our last holiday with the coop "

Felt Like We Was In The Bronx!!!!!!!!
"To all of you who have read the bad reports- TAKE HEED!!! Was really looking forward to mine & my boyfriends first holiday together and chose Alondras Park because it looked beautiful... HOW WRONG WAS WE!!! As soon as we got to the reception of our apartment, there was no greeting from the large man behind the desk, he just got up of his chair and grunted at us, then demanded our passports. Once checked in he advised us to have a safe because there was a lot of burglaries at the apartments. He then went on to tell us that there is a lot of muggings in the area so not to take out more than 30 euros of a night. My boyfriend & I just looked at each other thinking "what The heck have we got ourselfs in to"!!! Within an hour of being there we was warned by 4 different people about the muggings and how they go about it. The apartment themselves we're of okay standard and what to expect for the price we paid, so that really was not an issue. The majority of Alondras Park is residential and pretty much like being in the Bronx. There was no entertainment like they promised in their write up, the pool bar was ok tho and had decent food. Silencio as a whole is a run down old holiday resort with nothing to do. There's no beach to go to & no free bus to any beach like promised. You can't even venture down to the bars 15mins away for you have to walk up "muggers boulevard" to get back to the apartments. We went into Las Americas n Los Cristiano, which was nice, but had to be back before sun down because we'd have to walk up muggers boulevard in the dark!!!! The resturants are greesy spoons but the owners are really nice n friendly, who made us feel welcome... These bars were the only place we could go to as... 1) it's right next to the apartment as didn't want to venture too far in fear of getting mugged... 2)there's nowhere else to go. I would strongly advise anyone NOT to go here, it's a dive with nothing to do, especially if you have kids. All those nice reviews I reckon are from the owners of Alondras Park coz no-one in their right mind would enjoy coming here. We didn't want to go on holiday to a council estate, that's not what we signed up for, but that's what we got!!! DESTINATION FROM HELL, But made the best out of a bad situation."

What a surprise
"What a surprise!!!! I booked a cheap holiday and expected what I paid for. I read the reports on several feed back sites after booking and was shocked and thought what have I done. They said dirty , do not go there, pool service was terrible , shabby not good , avoid like the plague , not that their are many plgues any more but got the just. Any how I took my wife and 3 young children for a pre holiday break before our main holiday to Disney World in September, I was dreading it after what I had read. Well what a surprise , The reception basic but functional was manned by a chap in shorts T Shirt and was extremely professional and courteous , he processed us straight away and even advised us that if we need supplies we have 30 minutes until the local supermarket closed. Well what can I say the apartment was lovely , over looking the pool on two levels it was clean and even though a little dated was in very good repair. It was a typical apartment with beds bathroom kitchenette. The pool bar was fantastic too with great service and food at very cheap and cheerful prices,my full respects to Flaviano and Partner for their incredible service. They are a credit to Alondres Park, Thank you and we will be back in January."

Good budget accom
"Just returned from a weeks hols in tenerife and had a really enjoyable time, spent most of it by the pool at Alondras which although a bit cold ( It is April/May tho) was nice to cool off in after sunbathing. Had good food and drinks from the pool bar, at reasonable prices. Most evenings we spent locally but did venture out to Las Americas one night. Had meals out most nights but must recommend Central bar and Harvesters our faves by far. The apartment we had was very large and and airy, the furniture has seen better days but we only used the apartment for showering and sleeping.."

Had really enjoyable stay
"Just got back after a week in Costa Del Silencio and really had a great time, previous reviews left me concerned but i was pleasantly surprised. The apartments were clean and bright, could do with updating (though can't expect much for £175.00 for a week.) The staff are friendly and helpful, apartments cleaned every second day, beds made and towels changed daily. The pool area is pleasant with a bar run by an italian couple who gave us tasty snacks at a reasonable price. A previous reviewer had said no restaurants obviously did not look too far some really great places serving good food at reasonable prices, (Central Bar did us some really good German food, thanks Jurgen . Me and the family had a great time and we will go again."

Avoid these apartments!
"Just come back and could not wait to get out of Alondras Park. The description and photots looked great on the website but what a shock on arrival! The whole place is run down - the guy was actually repairing the pool area i.e. smashing concrete etc whilt we were 'relaxing' on the cheap sunbeds. The apartments are very basic - we had rusty fridge with broken handle, cracked toilet, broken dirty tiles, cheap basic bed with torn linen. There is no restaurant on site just a cafe, no microwave and no free bus to the beach, as advertised. The staff on reception were unhelpful. Our neighbours held a party until 3 in the morning and the rest of the time just shouted at each other constantly.....The place is surrounded by greasy spoon restaurants."

had a great time looking forward to going back
"Went to alondras park in march this year, was apprehensive after reading other reviews, had a great holiday will defo be back cheap and cheerful. Friendly staff and close to the main resorts of Los Christianos and Las Americas(by bus only â¬1.30) Brilliant weather spent most days by the pool, 3 in total. The pool bar was open and served tasty snacks and cold drinks at reasonable prices, the main restaurant was closed but didn't matter as numerous restaurants within a 2 min walk. The bars are friendly and cheap, even got a pint of lager for 50c during the happy hour (9.30pm till midnight) other bars the price varies from â¬1 to â¬2 for a pint so all very reasonable. lovely views of tiede from our balcony and overlooked the pool so we could watch the children playing in the pool."

basic, clean with friendly people
"I have stayed at Allondras park twice in the last year....i usually book direct by phone call and i save a fortune...The apartments are very spacious basic and clean with a balcony.... ideal to chill out with a Cold Dorado beer. I only have one concern and that is usually on a Tuesday night the flights arrive...and it can be very loud for that night...but usually the spanish police park their car in the courtyard on the wednesday...and the noise magically dissapears from there onward...As for food...the best food i have ever tasted is in and around costa del silencio...and no wonder! considering the amazing fish market down at the marina in las galletas..Of course you can expect burgers and chips ...but you get that anywhere these days..and at least none of the restaraunts here have a giant M above the door...Go with an open mind...ask the staff at Allondras for a good restaraunt...theres one just around the corner from the supermarket...and i can recommend it personally.....The main purpose of my holiday is to relax and scuba dive..and i have dived off of silencio with Barracuda..green turtles and manta rays in some of the clearest diving waters in the world....'Atlantic Divers' next door to Allondras are great and around 20% cheaper for courses than the uk...ask Geoff for try adive....i promise you that you wont be dissapointed...im going back later in the year and hopefully next year it will form a base camp for my preparation to do the Lanzorote Ironman...i love this place...its safe and friendly with spanish families forming the main residents at Allondras....i cant wait to go back...I phone Ima OR Eva when booking and im always well looked after there...if you want 5 stars go to the hilton hawaii...if you want a friendly.. basic living holiday then go here you wont be dissapointed...
