Costa Adeje is one of six major holiday communities located in the municipality of Adeje, in south-western Tenerife. A seafront promenade runs along the coast to the neighbouring resorts of Las Americas and Los Cristianos, which offer a similar experience to holidays in Costa Adeje. The beaches and coves along this stretch of coastline provide visitors with the opportunity to enjoy their white sand, which is unusual for the Canary Islands; sand was imported here from the Sahara to enable this experience. Some of the most popular beaches amongst sun seekers are Torviscas, La Troya, and Pinta.
Water sports are widely available at the beaches in Costa Adeje, such as donut and banana boat rides, jet skiing, water-skiing, and kite surfing. However, if you require some much needed relaxation, simply hire a sunbed and parasol and soak up the sun. Most of these activities can be done on any of the package holiday deals to one the Canary Islands, so for an exhilarating day out, head to Siam Park. It is a record breaking Siamese themed water park which is the proud holder of five world records. For example, at its artificial beach and wave pool, the largest man-made wave in the world can be created, reaching 3 meters in height; definitely not to be missed by thrill seekers.
Eating out in Costa Adeje is quite an experience, and you will undoubtedly find more cuisines to choose from than at home. Mexican cantinas, Japanese sushi restaurants, Indian curry houses, and Italian pizzerias are all on offer here. The only downside to this is that the delicious local Spanish cuisine can be side-lined. There are lots of people on package holidays in Costa Adeje making the most of the area’s lively nightlife; if you want to stay local, the bars around San Euginio are always popular.
