SENTIDO Aequora Lanzarote Suites
About SENTIDO Aequora Lanzarote Suites
Don Paco Castillo Apartments is a spacious family resort located just 300m away from Playa de los Pocillos, one of the most popular beaches in the bustling resort of Puerto del Carmen, which boasts eight different beaches and a bustling resort town atmosphere. Many of the beaches have received the Blue Flag Award, largely owing to their soft sands, pristine waters and welcoming, laidback vibe.
Don Paco Castillo Apartments is the perfect choice for those seeking a resort-style stay at an affordable price. The spacious complex boasts 396 apartments, all of which have fully equipped kitchenettes and either a balcony or terrace (many of which overlook the pool area). The Apartments have a modern, youthful air. Whitewashed walls, simple architectural lines and clean minimalism, lend an elegant ambience to this fun family resort.
In addition to comfortable accommodation, you will find everything they need to have an active, entertaining holiday — a plethora of pools, sports facilities and a buzzing restaurant serving hearty buffets. The Reception is open for 24 hours and the staff are friendly and keen on helping you plan the perfect bespoke holiday experience.
Room Information and Room Facilities
The Don Paco Castillo complex comprises 396 apartments, bearing a classical, cosy décor scheme which is simple yet inviting. Choose from a one- (accommodating up to four persons) or two-bedroom apartment, and decide whether a terrace or balcony view is more your scene.
The apartments are cleaned almost every day and bed linen and towels are changed frequently. All apartments contain a spacious living room, kitchenette, coffee machine and more. You can also rent a TV, iron, washing machine, hair dryer, etc.
Facilities, Entertainment, Activities
The beach may be close by, but we can guarantee that many guests will choose to spend quite a few days sunbathing at Don Paco Castillo Apartments. Take your pick of one of four swimming pools (each with a section for children), and on cool nights, relax your cares away at the heated pool. There are free sunbeds for all.
Sporting fans can take their pick from tennis, volleyball, table tennis and pool, while partygoers can dance the night away at the complex’s own Califa Disco. Entertainment is also high up on the list of priorities at Don Paco Castilla; children can get into the groove at a mini disco (for kids aged four to 12), and take part in fun games and activities. Adults, meanwhile, will enjoy the many musical events, magic shows, etc.
The Apartments have wheel-in showers and toilet raisers for the disabled, and access throughout the complex is generally good.
Food and Drink Options
Although you can always decide to do your own cooking, Puerto del Carmen has plenty of restaurants and bars serving up traditional cuisine as well as modern creative dishes, so it might be a good idea to sample the local fare. A favourite spot for gastronomes is Puerto del Carmen itself, just a kilometer away and boasting a wide range of restaurants and shops. The all-inclusive program includes hearty buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner time, at the complex’s very own Latino restaurant. Snacks are also served all day and in the afternoon, enjoy a hot tea or coffee with cake.
The complex has a second restaurant: El Ponton, where you can order a wide selection of la carte dishes. There is also a pool bar, serving colourful cocktails and refreshments. Wine and beer are also served with meals, so you must make it a point to try at least a few local drinks, such as tinto de verano, or a true Spanish classic: sangría.

YOU'RE PAYING 2 STAR PRICES , SO BE REALISTIC IN YOUR EXPECTATIONS...
"Stayed at D.P.C. 17-23 Dec. on A.I.basis,cost me £19 p.p.p.n. for this I could eat from 8 am till 9 pm and drink from 10.30 am till 11 pm. The food in the dining room was good, better than you would expect for a budget hotel. The food in the pool bar was perfectly acceptable, burgers, pasta, pizza, chips and a salad bar. The A.I. drinks package is again perfectly acceptable for what you're paying, local beer, wine and spirits, proper soft drinks coke and fanta. The BEAKER system seems to upset and confuse some people, it is however a quite simple and sensible idea, at check in you pay 5euro deposit for 2 tokens, when you want a drink you hand over the token and get your drink in a half pint plastic beaker, if you want another drink return the beaker and get another drink
in a fresh beaker, at night you can have your drink in a glass instead of a beaker, when your finished exchange beaker or glass for token. On check out deposit is refunded when you return tokens. I stayed in this hotel when A.I. drinks were dispensed in disposable cups and at the end of the night the tables in the bar area were littered with cups full of drink that people had stocked up on and were unable to finish. The beaker system has eliminated this waste and mess caused by greed.
I have read a lot of complaints about extras being charged for while on an A.I. package e.g. air con. wifi. bottled water, room safe, tv, etc. etc. You might get all of these things included in some hotels, but you are going to have to pay dearly for it. The DON PACO is a clean well run establishment that offers good value for money. Check out the proportion of your holiday package that the hotel receives, this should give you an idea of what to expect.
I have been on 4 different A.I. holidays in the past year and the DON PACO is by far the best value for money. I will returning in the very near future. "

Could be so much better
"went to this all inclusive not recomended as you are treated like a second class citizen if your happy with giving tokens for plastic cups at night while the paying customer get glass or eating cold food in the staff canteen then this is the place for you i have been all inclusive at a lot of resorts and this was the worst yet such a lovely complex with basic clean apartment even all inclusive you have to pay local charges for AIR CONDITIONING TV CHANNELS AND SAFE OH NEARLY FORGOT
25 EUROS FOR WIFI for the week surprised they didint charge for the air you breath wont be back hear in a hurry "

Its not that bad
"2nd time at the Don Paco if you want 5* then dont bother to go.This place is cheap and chearfull but is very clean. The only rubbish that we saw was the odd ice crem carton which the all inclusive guests had not bothered to place in a bin but hey ho they probably drop litter at home too.Maid service regular. Reported a broken lock on our patio door 2nd floor balcony on day 1 but was never fixed, safety was never an issue though. We (3 familys with kids) didnt go all inclusive as there are plenty of cheap quality places to eat at and we didnt want to eat at the same place every mealtime. Go through rear gate of the hotel 2 min walk to 2 good suermarkets, beach and good bars and resteraunts. Love this place and have booked up to go again in Octeber 2012.Go with an open mind and enjoy, life is too short to be miserable! Forgot to mention the submarine trip it was amazing free bus outside hotel."

A Reasonable Hotel at a Reasonable Price
"Just returned from a relaxing 7 night stay here.
The Hotel sits at the start of Playa Del Carmen up off of the main area and away from any noise not that there is much noise at this end of the town anyway. It has 4 swimming pools including 1 heated. Check in was quick and only took a few minutes. The Hotel is well looked after and the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable enough. We booked room only. Ours had a fridge and if you want to cook your own food 2 hotplates a Kettle and a Toaster no oven or microwave. The TV,safe and air conditioning if required, are extra. Towels and sheets were changed once on our 7 night stay so dry your towels on the balcony. There is a gate at the rear which takes you out at a road to the supermarkets and local bars approx 50m away. Some of the bars are really nice but it can be expensive to eat out every night, so take plenty of money.
It could be a wee bit noisy in the mornings with early risers, there were a lot of Spanish there and they like to be heard. Cleaners like to get in sharp too. If you like a longer lie leave your key in the door and they can't get in. They'll come back later.
The entertainment is very poor so don't look for exciting nights around the hotel. Go into town. We only ate in the restaurant 1 night just to try it and it was just OK but I don't fancy doing it every night. Buying a drink in the hotel was reasonable compared to outside bar prices but as with a lot of places that do A.I. they only sell beer in silly wee glasses.
English breakfasts down town range from 3euro upwards. Keep away from Dreamers the Scottish cafe/bar where 1 fried egg,1 slice of bacon 1 piece of greasy square slice 1 black pudding and 1 tattie scone costs 6euros and another 2euros for a mug of tea!! There are far better value places to eat with better quality food too.
The main town is approximately 20-30mins walk away or 3euros in a taxi. There is a taxi rank just next to Floresta Hotel out of the rear gate at the bottom of the road. It costs 5euros + to get back due to the crazy 1 way system in town. "

ignore bad reviews
"just returned from a week at don paco my husband and myself both in our 50s. Found it to be a mix of families, young couples and older couples. All made to feel very welcome and a very friendly atmosphere, nothing too much trouble. Very economical for what we had all paid, and really could not fault the place. I read a couple of bad reviews before we went but really nothing to say bad about it. Plenty of food always available, yes lots of salad and pasta but you dont go hungry. Overall a good holiday and no need for anyone to feel aprehensive before going out there. We would definately be going back. "

not for me but no real issues
"just returned home fron don paco, our room was badly located i.e asked for high floor with pool view but got ground floor with a view of a tree and some bushes and couldnt leave patio door open when in accomadation as the very many stray cats just wonder in your room but thats just personnel preference. The apartment and complex were very clean with maides and handy men always on hand and rooms cleaned 5 days a week, there were planty of pools but even thou it states no sunbed reserving unless your up at half 7am u have no chance of relaxin by pools as there are towls on every bed going. The location of hotel is very isolated, there are a few small bars and restaurants near by but there normally empty and quite expensive so we found ourselves walkin into the centre which was approx a hours stroll or 4e in a taxi every day and night and back to hotel its around 6e in taxi due to the 1 way system in pdc centre. Places to reccomend to eat, near hotel The boathouse (possibly best burgers ever) and in pdc centre the Oriental world is top food but be prepared to que to get in, also Top gun bar for relaxin drinks and quiz nites....overall would not go back to accomadation but pdc is a lovely place."

"before booking i read reviews most were okay ,alot wernt.thought me my son and partner would go with open minds and enjoy ourselves.all i can say nice is that the hotel is in a lovely area, had some lovely walks ,lots of bars nearby and places too eat.we were all inclusive.on arrival the hotel is tired and worn.our apartment was 624 was drad and basic apartment, was big enough for the 3 of us.furniture was awful and bedding had holes in and didnt fit the single beds, towels had holes in.in our week bedding and towels werent changed.talking too people at hotel, there musnt be enough cleaners to do the beds when you are far end of resort where my family and i were.hotel had basic staff working.all pool bars werent open and queues were long for drinks.the voucher system for plastic cup for drinks is awful.thick plastic cups that a toddler would drink out off.food is okay if you like fish with bones in or batterd squid rings or chips everyday.salads were nice and the fruit and icecream thats what we had all week.no variety in the week we were their.alot off cockroaches, little ones comming out of air vent in bathroom in our apartment.standards of hotel very low."

Does exactly what is says on the tin!!
"Don PC is a 2 star resort and as such lives up to this standard. In fairness it is maintained quite well but has quite a substantial cockcroach population throughout most rooms (although this is indicative of most resorts in Lanzorote.) Staff are extremely dour and moreso if one is all inclusive. Food is at best poor and on our stay we opted to dine out as the standard of food was so inadequate. Also beware to anyone who is told by your travel operator that you are entitled to a late check out as the staff in Don PC will automatically charge you â¬20 and will arrogantly inform that that is the holiday operators concern and seek recompensation from them. My family and I would not return to Don PC but if you are looking for a cheap no frills stay it would suffice, but do not go there with any more than that expectation. July 2011"

Excellent and spotless
"We are a family from cork in Ireland. We have 2 kids aged 14 and 3. We stayed for a week from 7/6/2011 to 14/6/2011 and found the hotel to be brillant. The rooms were cleaned 5 times in 7 days. There were 4 pools there and the staff were excellent. We didnt eat there so cant comment on the food but def the best place we stayed in years. We paid 213 euros for accomadation for 4 of us for the week which was great value. We would def go back."

Dont Go !
"All inclusive guests are treeted like nothing,if you get a coffee u get a wee plastic cup,but if u pay for a coffee u get a cup and a nice hot milky coffee from behind the bar,if u get a beer u get a plastic glass half full if u pay u get a proper glass full.anyone paying always comes first, this is because they already have your money so they want the non inclusive money in as well.do not go all inclusive in fact dont go at all!"

Holiday Feb 2011
"Review in brief- close to great beaches. Rooms basic but Ok, However very noisey at all hours of day and night due to door buzzers that sound through all rooms due to poor soundproofing- not funny at 0500hrs when guests return to rooms adjacent/above. Hotel staff seem uninterested with any complaints - not the ideal if peace and tranquility is being looked for. Will not return to that complex."
