"While the rooms are clean my only problem is the reception staff are not her helpful also the pool bar staff are not very helpful as the bar opens at 10 am so you cannot get a breakfast also they will not service coffee after 2130 as they do not make any profit in the coffee, all in all not a very good holiday ."

"If you are expecting to stay at a 5 star palace where you have servants running around for you and you dont have to move a muscle all week - then spend the money and you will get this!
However, if you are looking for a comfortable, quiet place where you can just relax and enjoy the surroundings, I would 100% recommend Los Peublos to anyone! It was perfect for what we wanted.
We have been to Peurto Del Carmen a number of times - this was by far the best time yet! It is right at the very top of the hill in the Old Town overlooking the sea, most rooms have a beautiful sea view as well! Nothing is more than a 15 minute walk away (New Town, the Harbour and 2 great beaches!)The restuarants in the Old Town and down by the harbour are brilliant and do the most amazing seafood and tapas you could imagine! In fact, the best restuarant was the first restuarant you come to on the left corner as you leave Los Pueblos - which is very handy!
We spent most of our evenings walking down the steep hill through the Old Town to the harbour which takes about 5/10 mins. This is the perfect place to spend a very enjoyable evening. If the walk back up the hill at the end of the night seems like too much; there are always taxis waiting near by and this will cost you no more than 3 Euros!
The apartments were clean, maids came and changed towells etc every 2 days, the staff are extrememly friendly and the pool side area is nice and quiet and it also has a bar that does breakfast and snacks!
I couldnt have asked for anything more from Los Pueblos, it was just the place we needed for our holiday!
Please stay here!!!! I will 100% be booking Los Pueblos again next time!!!"

no problems at the los pueblos
"my partner and i have just spent a week at these apartments, and found them to be very good. They are clean, and tidy and in a quiet if somewhat hilly location .You are 5 to 10 mins walk from the harbour, tho there are several bars near by, including an excellent restaurant (La Bamba) at the end of the road. I would certainly use these apartments again. If you like a walk head down to the harbour and walk right, along the clifftops to the next harbour at Puerto calero, and get the water taxi back, only 5 euros a throw.the walk takes about 50 mins, and is well woth it for the views"

"PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN LOS PUEBLOS IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON GOING TO LANZAROTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lanzarote is your typical what you see is what you get holiday. Cheap accomodation and cheap nights out. In a group or on a family holiday it's your typical package holiday.
My friend and I have just come back from a 7 day holiday booked with Thomas Cook. We were meant to stay for 10 but had to come back early after two Spanish men tried to break into our apartment and set fire to the front door, whilst baracading the balcony and throwing rocks at the glass door so we couldn't get out. It took Thomas Cook 50 minutes to get to us and in that time we called them 5 times urging them to get us out!!!!!!! As you can imagine two young females (20 and 21) were both hysterical. These men were early-mid 30s and if they had managed to get in god know's what might have happened.
The Thomas Cook reps did not take the allegations seriously and dismissed it that we must have lead the men on! This was simply not true! They then promised us that these men would be evicted from the apartments and would spend the night in jail. Neither of which happened and the men then again tried to break into our apartment a few hours later after we were told we could not be moved until the morning!
If you have children planning on going to Lanzarote or as a group of girls please DO NOT STAY IN LOS PUEBLOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We felt so unsafe and the fact that Thomas Cook really didn't care what happened to us is just disgusting!

Just got back yesterday after staying fo...
"Just got back yesterday after staying for eleven nights at Los Pueblos. There were five of us three of us stayed in room 219 and two in room 217 which were next door to one another, both had sea views and were at the quieter end of the place away from the pool area. Both rooms were very clean on arrival and i was impressed as it had only been given a two star rating.A downside was that we had to push two single beds together and our son slept in the living area on the couch which creaked at the slightest movement, both single beds had waterproof sheets on the matresses which we took off after our first night. As expected there were hidden extras as there was no air con a fan could be hired for the week as could the keys to the safe located in wardrobe also tv if required,to anyone going in August i reccomend a fan as essential. The cleaner comes every day and leaves towels, makes beds unless you're still in them[she does tend to come early]We did have to ask for clean sheets after four days as there was no sign of them being changed and they were left for us the next day.The grounds of Los Pueblos are pretty with a labyrinth of walkways around the apts all with attractive gardens. The pool is not the biggest i've been to but it's clean and as the place is situated at the top of a hill it has lovely views of the harbour and the sea[if bringing small children the pool area for them is tiny]The bar and food area is great for all the usual snacks such as burgers, pizza, chips, sarnies and is reasonably priced. We had to buy an umbrella after a day cos it was so hot and there weren't enough available. On a Wednesday there is a BBQ which we found great value, it consisted of garlic bread,a chop sausages,a thin piece of steak, salad and glasses of sangria and there are seconds available.Entertainment is not really priority and there isn't a great deal laid on especially for children after the pool is closed. We hired a car for two days and went to the waterpark in Teguise and had excellent fun although at 22 euros for adults and 16 for kids was expensive! We also went to the market on Sunday in Teguise where we bought souvenirs and gifts alot cheaper than the shops[tobacco is cheaper in Puerto Del Carmen than duty free at airport]The cost of hiring the car for two days for both trips worked out a little cheaper than booking trips locally and had advantages such as not clock watching or picking others up along the way etc. These two attractions are barely a half hour out of Puerto Del Carmen so it's hard to lose your way. There are some excellent eating places in the old parts of Lanzarote and also a short walk away even more so somewhere new every night for meals is no problem, there are some lovely restaurants along the seafront with beautiful views to enjoy.Plenty of family bars around for all ages Sunset Beach aloing the main strip along the beach was brilliant with quizzes, pool and connect four if kids like to play.If you like golden beaches you may be a little put off as the island is volcanic so the sand is gritty and dark although if you walk a half mile along the sea front there is a huge beach clean enough for sitting on and the sea here is lovely for bathing in.Overall a fantastic holiday was had by us all and if you like peace and quiet Puerto Del Carmen is ideal and if you prefer lively entertainment thats only a short walk away[twenty minutes at most]Taxis are everywhere and cheap for tired end of the night party people.Oh and finally if anyone tells you about the hill from Los Pueblos to the beach be warned it can be an exhausting trip out on a hot day or night out there is an alternative. TAXI!!"

"los pueblos was clean and staff on bar were very friendly and helpful poolside was kept very clean. maids came in every day to clean rooms and put out fresh towels. although theese apartments are in old town it is only a 10min walk to the newtown and promanade but get a taxi back as it is all up hill and kills the legs taxi will cost only 3 euros. well worth it.. great night out is to visit titti trollops music hall its a comedy drag show it is hillarious. we went to the wild west night and were really disappointed it cost 98 euros for two and all it really was was teaching you to line dance not worth the money. weather was fantastic 7 days of sushine no rain so it was great. "I stayed a little while ago now (2001 it didn't have it in the drop down menu) in the Los Pueblos Apartments but I thought everything was lovely, I stayed with a friend and her family and they had arranged for me and my friend to stay in one apartment and them to stay in a different one accross the way we actually had a sand storm when we was there so every morning our balcony was full of sand but I couldn't complain the weather so lovely and hot where our apartment was we was looking down on the pool area the rooms were lovely and cool and extremely clean, where the Los Pueblos is situated there is a few hilly areas to get to the main area but we did hire a car in the end I would defo go back again we have actually booked our holiday this year for Gran Canaria only because we wanted to view all the islands. I was very impressed with everything about Lanzorote, we had a very piece ful, stress free holiday, rooms were cleaned every 2 days and the people were so friendly there, always wished us a good day and asked if there was anything they could do to help. Well done to all the workers at Los Pueblos Appartments. The only thing was the hills but even that wasn't a bother to me as I do not have any walking difficulties and at that time I didn't have any children."

"We had a week of lovely weather, and the apartment was clean and tidy with a good balcony overlooking the pool and the sea.
We found the uphill climb a bit of a slog (especially with a buggy!) but taxi's only cost two or three euros so after a couple of days we walked down and taxi'd back!!
The staff generally seemed quite helpful, cleaners were in every couple of days with fresh towels, and there was always someone in reception if you needed anything. We decided to rent a tv for 21 euros (tho it only had channel 4 and CNN in english).
The bar was handy but if you want food it depends who was on shift, there was a young girl who was pretty helpful and cooked whatever you wanted, or if you were unlucky there was an older lady who didnt really want to do anything except sit and read the paper and have a cigarette, but grudgingly said 'we could have a snack'. We went just down the hill and found a little bar/restaurant called The English Rose, and had a nice meal down there a couple of times.
I dont think we would use los pueblos again, purely for the fact of the slog up the hills, we would rather stay down nearer the harbour or nearer the new town/beach. "

"the apartments are very clean and a good size, they were cleaned every other day. if you have trouble walking etc, these apartments are not for you. it is approx 20mins walk to the main shopping area and another 10 to the beach. the hills on this island are unbelievable. we were there with our son (2 years) and we actually took him out of the buggy going down the hills as he might of tipped out, i am serious. you will need to taxi it back and forward especially if you are there with children. you are not in the main area and that is a good thing, it is quite and the restaurants in the old harbour area, which is near to you (10 mins) are far better than the main street. they are also on a hill and we started at the top and every night ate in a different one, we didnt have one bad meal the whole week. fish and pizzas are the best. the beach was clean and not crowded. safe for children. shopping is not bad. a week was long enough as it was quite quiet and there wasnt much to do in the evenings, but it was November. this is a lovely resort and the apartments were fine, better choice than tenerife any day. we would go back, the weather was a bit hit and miss as well."

"Great place to stay. We were in Apartment 227 which had a very private balcony and was right next to the great pool and bar area. It was also facing the sea so we also had a really nice view. The staff were very friendly and the complex very clean. It was a perfect location for us - away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. We felt we had the best of all worlds really. It was a nice walk to the main strip if we wanted to go down there at night or in the day, and a taxi back would only cost 3 euros - bargain!
We would highly recommend eating in Mario's (behind the complex) - they offer a great menu and their steak with mushroom sauce is amazing! Also the Hong Kong 2 Buffet which is down the main strip - you pay 6.95 eurosâ for all you can eat. The food is fantastic - lots of choice and very fresh and hot!
We would have no hesitation in returning to Los Pueblos in the future. We would recommend this complex to anyone, except people with walking difficulties, due to the hills/distant to the harbour/main strip. Although there are plenty of taxi's available.
