About THB Flora
The three-star Flora Apartments are ideally situated to enjoy Puerto del Carmen, one of the Lanzarote’s most famous resort areas that is considered the heart of the island. Just 7km from the airport, the hotel is nearby to everything needed for a memorable family holiday, including the beach — just 800 metres away — and plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants.
When you’re not exploring the lively surrounding area, you can relax by the large swimming pool. Alternatively, you can spend your time relaxing on your well-sized balcony, which overlooks the pool area (meaning parents can still keep their eye on their children when they want a break).
There’s also plenty of activities provided by the hotel, too — these include a playground, arcade games, pool tables, and ‘Splash Park’, a fun water zone for children.
Room Information and Room Facilities
There are 205 rooms available at Flora Apartments. Of these, 161 are one-bedroom apartments, 12 are two-bedroom apartments, and 31 are studios. Which room you choose to book will depend on your needs. The apartments have separated bedrooms and a well-sized lounge area, which is ideal for small families that want to be in the same room.
Nearly all the two-bedroom apartments come with sea views, while most of the other accommodation will look over the pool. Whichever accommodation type you end up staying in, you’ll have the same great facilities, including satellite TV and safe deposit box (for a fee), kitchen with microwave, and balcony. The kitchen and balcony is perfect for those evenings when you don’t quite feel like venturing out, but still want to do something special — at those times, visit the supermarket, pick up some food and a pack of playing cards, and head back to your room for a special meal and a night of fun with your friends and family.
Facilities, Entertainment, Activities
The Flora Apartments resort offers plenty of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Kids will enjoy having fun at the playground, playing the arcade games, and at the on-site water park. When you all come together, you can engage in some friendly competition by hosting a family tournament at pool, table football, or billiards.
In the evening, there’s plenty of on-site entertainment to ensure the fun never ends. There are professional shows two times a week, with other entertainment several times a week. There’s also a minidisco — along with a miniclub — to keep your little ones occupied.
Need to do some mid-holiday washing? Never fear — there are coin operated washers and dryers located at the hotel. There’s also a supermarket and other souvenir stores located right at the hotel, so you can make the most of your room’s kitchen and microwave with products bought just a moment away from your room. Wi-Fi is available, too, but may be subject to an additional charge.
Food and Drink Options
Guests of Flora Apartments can choose from a number of board types. These choices are self-catering, bed and breakfast, half-board, or all-inclusive. Guests who don’t want to worry about sourcing their food and drinks should opt for the all-inclusive option, which includes all meals, snacks, and drinks.
Breakfasts are continental, while the lunch is an assortment of hot and cold food. The dinners are at the buffet-style restaurant, and feature a different cuisine theme each night. Those who opt for any of the other packages, specifically self-catering, will have more choice regarding when and where they eat.
With plenty of excellent restaurants just a short walk from the hotel, even those who have food included in their package and will want a meal or two away from the resort.

BEWARE OF THIEVES
"Stayed at the flora from 06/09-16/09 Holiday didn't start great as it took over 2 hours before we even got on the bus to the resort with resort hoppa booked through low cost holidays. com ( as was the hotel ) So by the time we got there, the bar had closed and couldn't have a meal!! On arrival was thrilled with the hotel and the pool area and rooms etc... all clean and well kept, our room 207 overlooked the pool and we were happy!!
We were all inclusive and came down for breakfast the next day, AWFUL is all i can say about the food, some days edible others VILE....
I have never left a bad review about a hotel before and am only doing so to let people know about the problems we encountered!!
WE had to leave the window into the room open as there is no air con and the rooms are soooooooo hot!!! Our room was on the first floor, it would have taken spiderman to get in through the window, however after returning to the room after seeing friends off, were still on the complex having a drink at the bar, and we can see our room from there, We found many items stolen including a mobile phone being charged with charger taken too, perfume and a carton of cigarettes... They even had the nerve to pinch one of my bags to carry the items in!! Also a Bracelet which i had only taken off ready to put back in the safe...
We insisted the police be called, which they arrived swiftly, however management could not get them out of there fast enough...
We were told that this has never happened in the hotel before LIE!!! i checked on my return to find a review regards a stolen phone, and also 2 nights after our things were stolen another couple had there kindle stolen from there room which they insist was LOCKED!!
couples we befriended also asked the manager about the robbery and he denied it!!!!!!!!
I appreciate these things happen but is it not the duty of the hotel to warn their customers to keep windows closed etc.....
Even though we had a very very stressful time and were dying to get home, it was so upsetting and management did not want to know.... The staff were brilliant all of them, very friendly a big thanks to yavier and the other chap on reception who could not do enough to help.... yose behind the bar was lovely too...and the entertainment team deserve a medal as i have never been around a pool area with so many miserable people!! Thank god we met some great irish friends to at least make the holiday bearable!!
Moral of the story, do not go to this hotel unless you are willing to lock everything away!! DO not got AI food awful!! High season a nightmare it is dash for the sunbeds, so unless you are up at the crack of dawn, forget it ( later sunbeds much easier when hotel quieter )

"I spent 7 nights here with my girlfriend in June 2011. The apartments are very clean and basic, but exactly what you would want from a budget holiday. We were all inclusive and the food was very basic but again what more can you expect for the price paid. The apartments are situated just out of the way of the lively puerto del carmen area so whilst being close to the livelier bars and night clubs your far away enough to escape it all if you choose too. We never experienced any problems at all whilst staying here, having seen the review claiming a stolen phone i can tell you that i left my phone and ipod in the room every day and they were never stolen. The only down side to the holiday was that our balcony over looked a walk way, so the view wasnt the greatest but we never spent much time sat on the balcony anyway. Other rooms seemed to have views of the pool and the sea. I would most definately recommend this apartment to anyone who isnt looking a for a 5 star accomadation."

PEOPLE BE WARNED ***STOLEN PHONE BY ROOM SERVICE*****
"My daughter had a weeks holiday at Flora apartments on the 8th feb 2012 for one week with 4 others. When they left she has realised she had left her brand new mobile on the bedside table (£150) worth. When she got back to UK I her mother rang and sent emails to get it back and yes you guessed it, THE ROOM SERVICE MAIDS HAD STOLEN IT. They have said no phone was found, This is as far as I am concerned, pure theft! I have rang 3 times and emailed and had not one reply from the hotel and to top it all, SUNSAVE HOLIDAYS said sorry we can not help. Please be aware people that you will have things stolen at this hotel!!!!!! This is the last time we use the hotel and sunsave holidays. People do not go away to be robbed! My daughter is pregnant and so upset as the phone was a birthday gift which had all her hospital numbers on plus friends and family too. In this day and age this sort of thing should have stopped, but it seems at The Flora apartments it's a big problem!!!!"

"Had a weeks half board at the Flora hotel. We found everything to be very clean. We had a spacious apartment overlooking the pool. Our appartment was cleaned 5 days out of 7 and towels always changed if left on the floor. Food was plentyful and plenty of choice. Pool area and pool cleaned on a daily basis. ther was always available sunbeds but not always room around pool for them. There were several cats around. They were very friendly and never entered the dining room. Staff were friendly and accomidating. It is a nice walk down to the strip in the morning and taxi back up only 3-4 euros. Would return to the flora anytime. Had a great week.

"Went to Flora with an open mind after reading previous reviews, It looks good on photos and majority are taken on Flora 1 where main reception, pool views, sea views, shops and restaurants are. We Stayed at Flora 2 as I had a 2 bedroom apartment. It was very disappointing amd certainly not big enough for 2 adults and 3 teenagers(triplets) Firstly we only had 4 of everything, then discovered the sofa beds were actually 1 and 1/2 of solid brick with a cushion on top. My poor son had to sleep on this. The 2 bedrooms were ok but terrible smell which i beleive are the stray cats that are constantly about. Very basic and could make do but wouldn't choose again. your not part of the flora when staying at this side. maid was ignorant and not very nice although we did get clean towels and linen. Her cleaning skills leave a lot to be desired. Lastly our apartment was situated at back walkway for everyone and their granny to pass through and boiler or store room below where we had every workman or staff there from first thing in morning to last thing at night. This is for families with small children going all inclusive and not wanting to move other than that its too far out certainly not a 3 star apartment."

Back for a 2nd time this year
"We went to the Flora Apartments in July 2010, I was worried sick after reading some of the reviews, given it was our first time to Lanzarote & All Inclusive! But my husband assured me we should go with an open mind.
What a pleasant suprise, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist(ok, she didn't make small talk) but was very efficient. Our apartment was spacious & clean, the food was varied and plentiful, and there was a wide range of both soft & alcoholic drinks to be had.
The weather was superb(A bit too hot at times!!) Puerto del Carmen is very pretty. It is a steep walk down to the town from the apartments( Not for the faint hearted) But there are so many beautiful flowers and plants to see along the way.
We are booked to go again in July 2011 as our eldest daughter couldn't make it last year and our 11yr old was keen to go back. I admit I couldn't do more than a week AI, as to get full value for money you need to stay on the complex as much as possible, and I think I would of gone stir crazy for any longer! But it is an excellent value for money holiday if your on a budget.......The old saying goes "You get what you pay for""

Worst holiday ever october 2010
"we had a 2 week holiday the only good part about it was the sun and the sea Hotel was dirtyi asked for a two bed apartment as i have two teenagers they gave us two apartments which ment they were on their own.The beds look like camp beds with a mattress towels were all marked ive thrown better out.little insects crawling over everything even the worktops making it imposssiblle to have any food around.everything like tv,toasters, fans etc,you have to hire,no air conditioning. the food is awful who in the uk eats salad for breakfast some cooked breakfast but never hot theres no variety if your a vegetarian you ll stave all they eat is meart gaot, rabbit.some sort of chicken. if anyone thought this food was good i hate to see the crap they are use to eating.the staff speak very little english not helpful in anywaythe bar staff are the rudest people that ive met ,the childrens enterainers were nice not much in the way off evening enterainment for adults the bar closes at 11 and they kick everyone out on to the pool terrace and turn lights off even if your still sat outside drinking. my daughter actualy had the door shut in her face so if your daft enough to go take some candles with you.The pools are not very clean freezing cold. Someone in the adult pool had empty their bowels in the pool and it took them god knows how long to deal with the problem. we asked about a doctor and was told he would charge 80 erous just to come to the hotel, this was our first time in lanzarote and believe me it will be the last."
