Alondra Villas & Suites
About Alondra Villas & Suites
If you have yet to visit Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote, you will soon realise why many people choose this part of the island to base their stay in. When you choose one of the Villa Alondras properties as your base, you’ll be even more delighted with the results.
This is a four-star location offering a number of villas that provide excellent accommodation for those looking for something more than just the average apartment. Its setting is appealing and it puts you right in the heart of all that’s good about Puerto del Carmen. The villa also makes the perfect base for a family, especially since the beach is but a short distance from Villa Alondras itself.
The journey from the airport is less than two miles, making it an easy trip to complete. When you’re eager to begin your holiday and your kids are impatient to get started, this is good to know! It’s just a short distance into Arrecife too if you want to explore beyond the local area, making it an easy task to find plenty to do during your stay in Villa Alondras in this part of Lanzarote.
Room Information and Room Facilities
The villa comes complete with everything guests need to enjoy a sensational holiday in Tenerife. The kitchen is completely kitted out with all the things you could want to help you prepare your own meals. There is a dishwasher too, so you won’t have to worry about doing all the dishes each night. The villas even have a washer-dryer so you don’t have to pack as much to bring with you as you normally would if you stayed anywhere else.
There are several bedrooms in each villa to accommodate all guests. There is also a shower room and a main bathroom that features a whirlpool bath. Just the thing for an amazing feeling to massage those muscles!
The lounge-diner area is perfect for enjoying a meal indoors, while the evenings can be spent enjoying a film or two if you like, courtesy of the television complete with a DVD player.
Facilities, Entertainment, Activities
How does a private swimming pool sound? If you’re not keen on sharing a communal pool area, perhaps because of the noise or lack of relaxation, the private pool that comes with each villa will be ideal. It’s just a short hop to the beach if you would rather have a day there instead however, giving you the best of both worlds here. You will even find some pool towels included as a welcome upon your arrival.
There is also a barbecue guests can use, providing the chance to have a laid-back dinner al fresco to watch the sun setting on another night of your holiday. Once the kids are in bed there is plenty of reason to sit outside by the pool to enjoy a relaxing drink and the feeling of peace you’ll get when staying here.
Food and Drink Options
The villas are offered on a self-catering basis, with a well-equipped kitchen to help with food preparation. Local stores are close by offering a wide range of local fresh food to inspire meals. Alternatively you can seek out one of the many restaurants or cafes in the area to eat at.
Just imagine preparing a breakfast of fresh fruit, cereal and coffee and enjoying it by the pool as you prepare to start your day. Then later, if you don’t wander down to one of the nearby restaurants, you could throw together a simple meal made with local ingredients to enjoy in the same location. Or perhaps you will grab a meal locally on your way back from the beach instead.

"Stayed in Villa number 12. Was so excited on entering the villa. It was so spacious and filled with all items to make it a home from home, e.g. 42" flatscreen TV. dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, fridge/freezer, all sorts of kitchen utensils, about 20 different novels for poolside reading! I cannot wait to go again even though I hardly used the kitchen stuff, choosing to eat out for nearly every meal at the many local restaurants. Comfy sofas and beds. Lovely private pool and garden. Outdoor table and chairs on patio area (covered). Excellent standard throughout - okay maybe the washing machine wasn't in perfect nick but who cares! Looking at making my next booking asap."

"We went to this villa in September 08, and I cannot believe the amount of space you get with this villa. The character is just great, the bedrooms are really big ( 5 of them)and the outside is breathtaking, I was getting lost nearly everyday just walking around this villa. There were 7 adults and 3 children and you can just 'found your own little space' wherever you go. The weather just made it perfect it was 100-110 everyday.
We were in the pool everyday till around 6.30 every night, We would go back to this villa again."

"I booked a group of us into the Alondra Villas last year for my wedding.. As the wedding couple they upgraded us to one of the Alondra Suites.. I thought the villas were fab then when I got to the suite I couldn't believe how nice it was.. Each suite has a beautiful garden and massive swimming pool, there was 2 plasma TVs, DVD players, 2 hugh bathrooms one with a beautiful built in Jacuzzi bath. It was so nice getting ready there the morning of the wedding. The villas are also lovely each with a private swimming pool and the complex is located near to the town.. I would defo recommend staying here."

"We stayed at Villa Alondras in May/ June this year and had a fantastic time, there was six of us adults and the villa was so spacious and comfortable, the cleaning service was excellent, all staff eg reception, cleaning, pool cleaner were so friendly and excellent at their jobs! The pool was cleaned everyday and it was a great size, the area around the pool was lovely for sitting during the evening and there is also a great taxi service if you want to venture out, the taxi's only take 2 mins to get to your door! The rooms were quite spacious and very clean, kitchen was lovely size and is open plan to the dining area / lounge area. The villas are located just 5 mins from both old town and new town but I would recommend getting taxi's / hiring a car if you are staying here as they are on top of the hill. We stayed in Villa No.15 and it was beautiful, we all hated leaving! Apparently the Alondra Suites are amazing to stay in too but obviously are a bit more expensive but worth checking out! Overall, we had a great time and I would definitely recommend Lanzarote and Villa Alondras to anyone."

Have just returned only yesterday. First...
"Have just returned only yesterday. Firstly we were very impressed with the overall presentation ect but on second inspection after the excitement had died down with our 4yr old son we found the cleaning wasnât up to the high standard we were led to believe.
Stained bed sheets, hair on the floors, chocolate on the curtains and light switches! but worse, two broken tiles on the corner of the patio leading into pool, the dishwasher did not work, the lining in the pool was coming away from the sides, two of the sun chairs were broken and also many of the light bulbs not working.
All of these faults we put to the receptionist at the resort and nothing was fixed! So be warned, my little boy fell twice on the broken tiles.
We never did find a childrenâs play area on the complex even after two weeks of looking only a seesaw and a set of swings situated on two of the villas front lawns, so we did not use these as we thought it unfair on the residents in them.
Reception also seemed to be opened when they felt like it not when they should have been.
Two places I would not recommend to eat are Lanzis on the main beach front in PDC it is a green restaurant very posh looking claiming to cook Indian and European cuisine we were all very ill, and also the first restaurant on the corner of the harbour we were again struck down ill.
We have been too many different countries in villas and although the weather was mostly warm and very windy, the locals were lovely for the price we paid we think it would have been better spent elsewhere, as we have had cheaper villas with the same extras and high standards that we expected to get at Alondras and didnât."

Lanzarote ......... definately NOT Lanzagrotty
"This is the first time we have been to Lanzarote and I must say I was very impressed with it. The fact that it is on volcanic rock doesn't mean that the locals do not try to make the surrounding area a pleasure to look at. These villas are in an excellent position as villas go. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants, about 10 mins. About 20 mins to beach but having 3 children aged 7, 8 and 9 not once did they complain about the walking, which is very unusual for them.
The Villa was exceptional and the pool was cleaned on a daily basis. The rooms were cleaned every other day and clean towels provided at this time. In a quiet area and would certainly recommend it. The only down side was the fact that there were no provisions left for basic needs on arrival ie, washing up liquid, washing up sponge, water, bread, milk, which would have been beneficial.
There was a dvd player which we had not been told about so unfortunately kids missed out on tv for a week. If driving on holidays is not your thing but you would like a home from home without having to be too far from the main areas then this is ideal."

Having decided to go on a friendâs hol...
"Having decided to go on a friendâs holiday together, we picked Alondras Villas on the Thomson website as it seemed a lovely place at a really good price.
We couldn't get over how lovely it really was when we got there, we were certainly not disappointed!
The Villa was spotlessly clean, and the maids spent about an hour cleaning it every 2 days, and boy did they clean it! They were scrubbing everything down! Every morning someone came to water the plants and clean the pool. Couldn't fault it!
The Villa itself was lovely with plenty of room. The pool was freezing mind, but a lifesaver as it was nearly 40 degrees everyday. The villas are in an enclosed little complex which is really pretty, although there is nothing there apart from the reception.
The views are lovely as you are on top of the hill, but it is quite steep down to the shops and marina. Puerto Del Carmen was about a 20 mins walk away, but will worth it.
We visited there quite often and was always clean tidy and not too busy (May time).
Only fault we found was that if you arrive on a Sunday the reception isnât open. They put up a poster to tell you which villa you are in and leave the keys in the BBQ. Our keys werenât there so had to find the maids around the complex to let us in.
We'd def recommend these villa's to anyone. They are def worth their 4-5 stars! "

"Fantastic! These villas are of a standard very hard to match elsewhere and we have travelled to many places, including Florida! Everything you need and more. All the luxuries are there, including the excellent cleaners, who visit every day, the pool man who cleans the pool every day and even the gardener who attends your garden every day.
Prices are not cheap, but, well worth it. Location is perfect and PDC is lovely. This was one of the few holidays we were not looking forward to returning home after 2 weeks.
Will definitely be going back to PDC and will only book these villas.

We stayed at the Alondra Villas and were...
"We stayed at the Alondra Villas and were very happy with the location and accommodation. Although this holiday was one of the most expensive we have ever been on you definitely get what you pay for. The villa and complex were spotless. The cleaners were in every other day and were so thorough.
The villa was more than big enough for us (2 adults and 2 children) so 1 bedroom remained unused but it was lovely having the extra space if needed. We had a swimming pool which had a children's area at one end which our 2 boys loved. There was also a little garden area running around the villa which was safe for them to run around on. The deep end of the pool was 1.6m so we had to ensure one of us was always outside with them. Apart from this the villa was very child friendly.
There were so many little extras which helped during the holiday - clothes airer, iron and ironing board, hairdryer etc. The only complaint we had was the reception was shut on Sundays - the day we arrived and departed. This did make it difficult when we had a problem with our luggage on arrival at the villa and there was no one to assist! However, one of the cleaners spoke broken English and tried to help.
Puerto del Carmen is a lovely resort and we would happily return there. The villas are situated at the top of a hill. The restaurants, shops and bars are a short walk down the hill which did not cause us a problem upon our return (about 10 min walk).
We hired a car for the week which enabled us to travel down to the main front most evenings to eat where we felt the choice was better. Again this would be in walking distance (possibly taking about 30/40 mins) but we did not attempt this with 2 young children. We visited Fire Mountain which was of more interest to us than the kids but we would definitely recommend the camel ride at the entrance to Timanfaya! It certainly is an experience and one that we won't forget in a hurry!
If you have children then visit Rancho Texas Park which is only a 5 minute drive from Puerto (they also run a free bus from various points). It is a lovely place and the Birds of Prey show is out of this world!
Lastly, we also visited Papagayo Beach which is near Playa Blanca. It is a beautiful beach and well worth a a trip. The weather in May was gorgeous - about 26* most days although very windy. Even the locals said it was extremely windy when we were there. You do need the wind with the hot sunshine to cool you down but just remember the sun lotion.
We would love to visit Puerto again and would highly recommend Alondra Villas."

"Perfectly located between the busy resort and the stunning port, this villa holiday has to be the best we've had. The brochure failed to do justice to the immaculately clean complex and wealth of facilities available in each villa - a definite home from home.
We were so impressed that we are planning another trip with our 7 week old son, something I would never have considered doing without the amenities and high standard of every aspect of these villas.
To mirror other comments, it is at the top of a hill but taxis are only a few euros and well worth it to be slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the busy night life.
In all we just can't fault this one!!
