About Villas Kamezi

The Kamezi Villas near Playa Blanco, Lanzarote are absolutely unique: a small four-star boutique hotel of just 36 villas, each with its own private terrace, pool, and garden. The perfect place to relax and get away from it all in a peaceful private oasis, the Kamezi villages welcome families as well as adult groups. While other regions of Lanzarote, like Puerto del Carmen, are better known for their resort style and lively crowds, Playa Blanco is different: it's a quieter, less-frequented part of the island, and the peace and tranquillity of the Kamezi Villas definitely reflect that. Calm and quiet, gorgeous and gracious, this is the place to go for a relaxing, energy-replenishing holiday that leaves you feeling rested and recharged.
The villas are around 37 kilometres from the airport at Arrecife, with a transfer time of 35 minutes. The Kamezi Villas hold a TripAdvisor Certificate Of Excellence, awarded for earning consistently excellent reviews.

Room Information and Room Facilities

Each of the 36 villas at the Kamezi Villas complex is a completely self-contained home away from home, with several bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine, coffee maker and microwave, a dining room, and a private bathroom with a whirlpool bath or hydro-massage shower. Villas have two, three, or four bedrooms each, with the largest able to accommodate up to eight people. Each villa is furnished in a simple and comfortable style, with rooms that are airy and spacious.
With a private pool and garden, and a terrace for outdoor dining, the Kamezi villas provide all the comforts of home, in a gorgeous island setting. Many villas have sea views, and some look out upon the island's interior mountains. All have free Wi-Fi, a safe, TV, and DVD, and cots or rollaway beds available upon request, free of charge. Some villas are wheelchair accessible and free parking is available.

Facilities, Entertainment, Activities

For guests of the Kamezi Villas, one of the favourite pastimes is relaxing by their own private pools, enjoying the peace and quiet of south Lanzarote, and basking in the warm sunshine. Life at the villas is slow and restful, with long lazy days and nights. There are barbecue facilities and a kids' playground on-site, as well as a library, and market shops that sell fresh produce, everyday necessities, and baked goods.
Celebrate the holiday with an afternoon barbecue, enjoy a luxurious in-room massage, or take a short walk to the nearby beach, just 150 metres away. Playa Blanca is a little further afield, 5.5 kilometres away, but is easily accessible by car or shuttle, and the villa staff are happy to help guests arrange for transport. Along with bicycle and care rental, there's also a tour desk, massage service, and supervised childcare available, and medical services are also available on request.

Food and Drink Options

Each of the Kamezi Villas includes a well-equipped kitchen, allowing guests to prepare and cook as many of their own meals as they wish. There are shops on site, and supermarkets nearby and in Playa Blanca, providing access to local and international foods and meal ingredients. Guests can also opt to visit nearby restaurants to enjoy delicious local cuisine, as well as international favourites such as pizza and fish & chips. Head into Playa Blanca for a wider selection of restaurants and bars. Local favourites include fabulous fresh fish at Plaice in the Sun, burgers at Chacho, and delectable Portuguese food at the Atlantico Bar & Restaurant. While the nightlife in the area is low-key, guests can head to the Blue Note Lanzarote for live jazz and a great selection of tapas, or the Harp Bar for a fun pub experience.

"We had everything we could expect and even more: relax, beautiful landscapes, a healthy environment for the whole family... and lots of fun across the island. The private pool was simply perfect to let our children play without being afraid of disturbing someone else. We'll be back next year."

Great place for a holiday

"I've been in Heredad Kamezí for a week on July, and i'm very glad with the experience. I've been with my husband cause we had the idea of a pleasure-luxury trip and that was exactly what we found there. The chalet is very well equipped, The tub of hirdomasaje is perfect to relax without need to spend so much in a Spá. It is a zone with a lot of Sun and a very soft climate. Ideal to sunbathe or to practise some sport outdoors. The solarium and teh barbecue are great places to organise outdoors parties or Friends' meetings. You can do touristic tours to see all the island. if you have car, (necessary enough, certainly) everything is closely together. Immediately you can cross the island or go by ship to the neighboring islands. I have remained with desire of more. It is highly advisable. "

"The villa was incredible; the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the maid was very accommodating when she couldn't get in because our teenagers were asleep at 10.30 am, just came back later...Rosa and the other receptionists were very helpful at all times.

Quirkily, all the villas have their own names - we had Harrison Ford, but we could have had Steve McQueen or Leonardo daVinci.

Quibbles - 20 minutes walk to get to decent restaurants, although a lovely walk and the restaurants were great, and the staff extremely friendly, and the on-site shop only stocked Cravendale milk at a huge mark-up, not regular milk; we used the local shop ten minutes away and the supermarkets in Playa Blanca itself.

We will definitely be returning, unless we buy our own place in Playa Blanca first...

A warning, don't go to Playa Blanca if you want a nightlife - the most excitement you'll get is when the restaurant cat decides to plonk itself on your knee till it can get some food...fine by me! (That's at La Campana, the Italian, whose waiter, Lino, insisted on calling my 9 year old daughter "Bellissima" everytime he saw her, which she loved) Transylvania can be slow at service, because of the size of its kitchen, but I think it's about to have a new name and owner, so hopefully things'll change (the Vampiro's great, though). The Argentino is great for a steak, and the Natura Beach is very laid back with excellent squid."

"Stayed in these Villas December 2007 for a week. This is the fourth holiday we have had there and every year the standard is excellent. The villas are all very clean and the staff are lovely - can't help you enough. Going on holiday there is just like being at home - everything you need - washing machine, dish washer, microwave, toaster, sandwich toaster, iron, ironing board, TV and DVD player. They also have a small private pool with each villa.

There is a nice walk along the front of the villas which takes you into the town of Playa Blanca - it is a long walk but nice because it twists along the shoreline.

Going back again this year (hopefully) and really can't wait. Can thoroughly recommend these to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing holiday. A family friend came with us last year for the first and has booked again to with us this year.

Can't wait.

"Wonderful. The villas are all different and on arriving we had a choice of which one we wanted. Luckily that day we were the the second to arrive so we choose one with a heated pool at 10 euros extra per day which was well worth it. Do not know if would have been pleased if we were the last to arrive. The villa was next to the play area which was great for our 9 year old daughter and it was not noisy. It was also next to reception again this was no problem. The standard of accomodation I would rate as four star you could tell it was a little used.
The villas, gardens and complex were lovely and clean and well cared for the staff were pleasent and helpful. We hired a car which i felt was esstential as the small shop only catered for basic and it was a lovely 15 min stroll to the nearest reataurants on the seafront. It was a nice walk along the promande. This lead into playa blanca and on an eveing it was an hours walk in but it was nice and added to the evening. About half way and half an hours walk was flamingo beach which had a some lovely restaurants and was busier and lively. These were minutes away in the car.
We all really enjoyed our 2 week break"

We decided to book the Kamezi Villas for...

"We decided to book the Kamezi Villas for our honeymoon, we wanted somewhere warm and comfy in December without spending an absolute fortune. It was fantastic! We booked direct with Kamezi Villas as it was the cheapest way of doing things, we had to pay a small deposit, then the remainder on arrival which was great as we were a bit short on money becuase of the wedding.

Anyway, we arrived at Arricefe airport at around mid-day and hired a car from Elizabeth Autos which Kamezi Villas set up for us. We got a little 1.2 Corsa which was great, cheap and just what we needed. It's relatively simple finding your way to Playa Blanca from the airport, we just stopped at the first garage and got a map and then it's pretty much straight on for approx half hour till you hit Playa Blanca.

We arrived at the villas, checked in and were shown to our villa by the receptionist who was lovely. We couldn't beleive it, it was massive. The kitchen was great and had a dishwasher, a big fridge freezer, a hallogen hob, microwave grill thingy, sandwich toastie maker, coffee machine and all the cups, plates, pans etc than you could shake a stick at.

They also left us a huge bowl of fresh fruit, a lovely bottle of wine and a bottle of water to be getting on with and a list of all the decent restaurants in town which was great.

It was between 20-25 degrees in the day while we were there which was fantastic, sometimes a bit cold but a welcome change from the british climate. It really wasn't hot enough to get in the private pool though which is un-heated. Well, we did one night after we'd had a few bottles of champagne but that doesn't really count!

The place was really clean and the maid came everyday except one and did a fantastic job. The other things I should mention are the showers, they were great, proper power showers with multiple jets and lovely hot water and really modern and lovely fresh white towels everyday, perfect.

The service was great too, we had a problem on the first day with the water. It suddenly stopped working and was spitting out of the taps and wasn't a great colour either so we phoned reception and within 5 minutes there was a chap at the door announcing that he had changed over the water tank that they have on the roof and that it should work fine now. Brilliant, and it did for the rest of our holiday.

The resort itself was about 4-5 miles from where we were staying so you definitely need a car to get around each day, it's too far to walk to the restaurants in my opinion.

There were so many restaurants to choose from, all of them were very quiet and some expensive and some not so but we had some great meals while we were there. If you go to Kamezi Villas, ask them for the restaurant list. It was well worth going to the ones that they reccomend. The one night that we didn't, we regretted it.

Just one more quick note. If you are a golfer, don't be tempted by going to the golf course in Teguise as it is massively overpriced and rubbish. We paid nealy £180 for both of us including club hire, buggy etc etc and it really wasn't worth it. The bunkers don't have sand in them, they have lava rocks which when you hit out of them, totally cover the greens with tiny rocks making it impossible to putt. Stupid idea and a total rip off.

Other than that though, if you want a quiet relaxing break with nothing to do then this is the place for you definitely. We loved it. If you have kids though, they might be bored in a resort like this.

Have a great 2007 guys HW Jon "

"Nice resort of holiday villas about 3 miles from the main resort of Playa Blanca. Staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The villa had a large private pool and well laid out garden. The resort was clean and tidy though only had a shop, no restaurant or other facilities. The local town was to far to walk but had plenty of parking."
