About HL Club Playa Blanca
This four-star, family friendly hotel is located in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Playa Blanca, in the south of Lanzarote. Its attraction is manifold; in addition to containing specific features that appeal to kids (especially a fun kids themed water park area), it is also conveniently close to the Los Ajaches natural reserve, and offers stunning views over the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura. The accommodation comprises spacious bungalows, so every family can feel like they have the space and privacy they crave. The complex also boasts a lively restaurant with show cooking demonstrations and themed evenings, as well as a pool bar, pub and disco, with nightly entertainment. Ensconced in the garden are two swimming pools (one of which is heated in Winter), a children’s pool, sun loungers, sunshades, and a bubbling Jacuzzi which certainly hits the spot after a fun, active day catching the sights of Lanzarote or visiting its pristine beaches. The Hotel reception is open for 24 hours, and the friendly staff are always eager to provide you with all the information you need regarding sightseeing excursions, sports activities, and the hiring of bikes, cars, etc. The complex offers all guests use of a shuttle bus to Playa Dorada beach several times daily.

Facilities, Entertainment, Activities
The centre of the action at Club Playa Blanca Hotel is surely the pool area, with vertiginous (as well as child-friendly) water slides, water fountains, and sun loungers. By night, guests enjoy live performances and a glamorous disco experience (a little earlier in the day, the little ones also get into the groove at the mini-disco). Shuttle buses take guests various times a day to a popular beach, but those who wish to discover more of Lanzarote can always venture forth into some of the island’s best beaches, including Playa Flamingo (with an array of nearby shops, ice-cream shops and restaurants nearby) and Papagayo, a romantic set of bays separated by imposing cliffs. Also popular is Playa Blanca, which boasts a European Blue Flag for cleanliness. Some of the many activities offered at the complex include tennis, ping pong, darts, cycling, deep sea diving, massage, bike hire, games room, etc.
Food and Drink Options
The hotel restaurant offers quality international and local dishes alike. You can choose from an all-inclusive or half board regimen as desired. The all-inclusive package includes a hearty buffet breakfast (serving delicious seasonal fruits, an array of pastries, cold cuts, etc.), a buffet lunch with show cooking demonstrations, and an international buffet for dinner (also featuring show cooking). Alcoholic and soft drinks are available at the bar and restaurant from 10:30am until 11pm. Half board includes a buffet breakfast and dinner. Families greatly enjoy the night time entertainment, which is varied and loads of fun, since the entertainers often invite members of the audience to join them and be part of the show. Many of the nearby beaches also have lovely seafood restaurants, which should definitely be paid a visit by keen gastronomes.

"We have just returned from this hotel (5-9-13) and would be happy to recommend to others. The apartments are spacious and in great size plots so you don't feel penned in - the maids did an excellent job. Adult beds new and comfy...kids beds not so good. The pool area was relaxed with a good balance of activities but also quiet times so you could just chill out. The beach was stunning, clean and clear and great for snorkeling (15 mins walk away) The entertainment team made the holiday...yeah some of the shows were naff, but hilarious! Our children aged 10, 8 and 6 loved it and were encouraged to join in. Kids club - I kept and eye on my daughter as I had seen kiddies wondering off to find their parents unsupervised - which could be dangerous. The food is obviously done on a budget but was still amazing - we did not go hungry and never ate out. No moaning from the kids as drinks and ice creams galore. All in all, for the cost, we had an excellent time. "

AWFUL DO NOT GO!!!!!!!
"We arrived as a party of 8,(2 families)to be told they only had enough room for 1 family. This we found shocking as the holiday was booked months ago, they did however manage to find accomidation the next day for us both. This occurance we now know happens everyday to lots of families. Our bungalow had A/C that did'nt work even though they called an engineer, mould in and around the bath, a hairdryer which if used issued electric shocks. We woke up to cold water 2 days and no water 1 day. The food was so poor that we spent a fortune eating, not good on an A/I holiday. The drinks are ok if you can find someone to serve you as they are vastly understaffed. The surrounding pool area is dangerous with people slipping over all day long. Not a pleasant place!!!!"

club playa blanca
"we and our friends have just returned from a holiday at the club playa Blanca, the rooms where really clean and where cleaned every day,the food was fantastic and tables where cleared as soon as you finished, pool bar food was OK, pool was clean and was really relaxing, entertainment was poor as they only catered for kids up to 8 and the later disco was for the older end from 50 above and the Spanish ,there where a lot of people there complaining about this ,and i wouldn't entertain kids club as some peoples kids came back to the pool to there parents by themselves, kids entertainers if that's what you want to call them, there was one that was more suited to rep 18 to 30s as she always looked as though she wanted to be some where else, the shows where good,i would give 10 out of ten for cleanse of rooms and cleaners,10 out of 10 for foods and staff ,and would rate children entertainers 3 out of 10,for this reason i will not be going back to this place and would not recommend this holiday to people with kids above 9 and i can honestly say this is the only holiday in all the places i have been and will not return"

This is not a 4 star Hotel
"we stayed in this hotel for the February half term with our two children age 9 and 6, the bungalows are very clean and spacious and do have microwaves and fridges but they do not have cutlery and plates which I found strange. The location is not fantastic if you have young children that dont like walking (like we do) but it is only about 15 minutes walk into town. The food was not good but was very nicely displayed. The night time entertainment was the worse I have EVER seen and I can only hope if you do go you don't have to sit through the Micheal Jackson show. The snacks etc for all inclusive was not up too much at all and I was disappointed with the food overall. My children really enjoyed it apart from the pool been very very cold."

"Bungalows were clean and spacious there was a fridge, microwave and kettle but no cutlery or plates,so you couldnt do anything. Its was help yourself to drinks at pool bar the coffee was awful it was in a big tea urn.The snacks at the pool bar was burgers, hotdogs and chips which were always cold. The second week of are holidays the drinks machine had to be turned off due to contamination in the water. It was back on 2days later. In the restaurant it was help yourself to drinks and you be lucky to get a clean table as there wasnt many staff about. The food in restaurant was awful,a lot of people ate out.Only a 10minute walk to the main town. The pool was ok but not enough umbrellas and the ones they did have need renewing.DEFINITELY NOT A 4 STAR"

dont listen to bad reviews
"We stayed at this resort and came back the 11th july, there were 4 adults, 2 teenage boys and 1 kid and could not fault it for the money. The staff were very welcoming and stayed that way until we left. We did have to pay 30 euros for the safe though which we were not expecting. The rooms were spacious and basic, but you are never in there only to sleep. The pool was brill and the entertainment for the kids around the pool was gr8 there was always something going on, The kiddies club was excellent for there times and Sam and Hannha were 1st class and I left my child to have fun and safe. Gavin the rep was also polite and as we didnt have any faults, we didnt have much contact. The food areas were a bit dated but excellent choice of food there was always something for everyone and you could never starve. The drink flowed all of 2 wk and there was no problem getting served and once again we never had a bad barman they were all friendly, the staff are worked very hard but they were so polite. The main resort was about a 10min walk and it was beautiful, 1st place I have been to and the shopkeepers were not pestering you, they were also very polite, you do have to haggle prices. My son and his friend went into the sea a lot they could jump off the rocks and the 2 silly oldies with us went into lol they all had fun, the 2 boys went on the banana boats to which they thought was brill. So dont listen to bad reviews we would defo go back xxx"

Definitely Going Back!
"Just home from week here with my husband and 3 kids. We absolutely loved it here. Atmosphere around pool was brill, especially with animation team - there were brill with the kids (and adults!!) keeping them entertained with games etc Room were spacious and very clean with an abundance of clean towels every day. Pool Bar food was great, we especially loved the baked potatoes and selection of breads. The Restaurant was also good, we didn't tend to use the restaurant much for breakfast instead we opted to make our own toast at the pool bar, we did use it every evening and there was always something for everyone, and the kids never complained once. I especially loved the salad bar. Drinks and ice creams galore. found all staff pleasant Air con broke down in our room one of the days, once we reported it to reception it was fixed with in hour. All in all a fab holiday, Playa Blanca a beautiful area too, I would definitely recommend boat trip to Feurtventura! Can't wait to go back :-) "

"Just returned(29th May 2011) and in my opinion it was great! Bungalow was very spacious and clean, could do with tea/coffee facilities, but we worked around that. The food wasn't bad, maybe a bit repetative for some but we were happy with it, brilliant weather (39 degrees one day!) Pool nice and big, with lovely surroundings. Entertainment was ok on a few occasions, but aimed more at small children, staff very friendly and helpful when needed. As a cat lover it was nice to see lots of cats at the resort, cared for by the hotel. The town/beach was only a short walk away and was absolutely gorgeous...and again had lots of cats about also cared for by the locals.. If you dont like cats i would recommend that perhaps you don't choose this destination for your holidays! To be honest a holiday is what you make it and we had the best time in Lanzarote! Will be re-booking for next year!"

good for familys with young children!
"Just returned home after a week ataying in Club Playa Blanca. Not as good as expected! Went with my partner for a relaxing break, the pool was lovely, the rooms were clean, towels and sheets changed everyday part thursdays and sundays! There is a fridge and microwave in your room but no cutlery, plates or kettle which was strange! As for the food not good!! and i will say if your children are fussy eaters then not a good choice! Entertainment at night was really only aimed at kids, and the bar was very under staffed which led to a very long wait for drinks!! We walked to the beach front every evening which was bout ten mins away! All in all i will say the younger staff were brilliant with the kids playing games and keeping them entertained! It is defently aimed more for familys! "

This is NOT 4 star
"Returned home 12th May 2011, went with Partner 3year old and 9month old. The bungalows were lovely and clean but there was no kettle, cutlery, plates, cups but they had a microwave and fridge which was strange. The pool area was clean but the bar staff were quite rude and didn't even get a hello! The "FREE" icecreams were the tineiest of pots and my 3year ols wasn't much on it and nothing else was on offer not even iced lollies (As there was no shop nearby this wasn't good) The food by the pool was a joke, hotdogs, burgers or jacket potato everyday which was boring and also cold everytime. The restaurant was very understaffed and let it down, we had to set our own table and most days clear them too. There were never any clean cutlery, bowls or cups this surely is not 4star all inclusive service? The food was the same every day and again cold everytime which resulted in us and many other holiday makers we spoke to to go and eat out which we really shouldn't of had to do as we felt we already paid for our food!! The juice, coffee, pop and beer ran out and was never topped up in a hurry very bad when you want a drink with your meal...you were up and down constantly and meal times were never relaxing which they should have been on holiday. Beer was not served in a pint much to my partners annoyance and again you should have the choice in an all inclusive hotel. This hotel is very much aimed at the german holiday makers and puts the british off!! Overall very dissapointed and would say go somewhere else!!! Has put me off all inclusive."
