"We have just come back from a week at the Molino De Guatiza Apartments, after reading reviews we were not sure what to expect, but we were very pleasantly surprised, Apartment was very clean, and all the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you,Apartment was cleaned every second day.Beds and Bathroom was spotless.the only downfall was the towels were only changed once, maybe because we were only there for the week. The pool was cleaned every day although we did not go in as it was too cold. It was very peaceful and relaxing, which is what we went for. That was our first time in Lanzarote and we definately will go back to Molino Apartments.we are in our 60's and there was a mixture of all ages there with no rowdiness at all.We would highly recomend it."

Good location, friendly management
"We have stayed here twice of the 4 times we have been to Costa Teguise. It has a good location and Pepe and his staff were very friendly, as were the friendly bar staff (Paul and Jane) Our two bedroomed apartment was spacious but pretty basic. Had minor problems with the water leaking out of the sink while you were trying to wash clothes or while the menfolk were shaving! We ended up in the same apartment the 2nd year also .... and the problems we raised the previous year had been not re-addressed/fixed. No pressure in the mornings to rush out and get sun-loungers, which meant a lot!! Would go back there again."

"We visited these apartments for the second time in August 2006, having stayed there about 10 years previous, they really hadn't changed at all - and I mean at all. Whilst we had a great time they really are in need of refurbishment. We had two apartments one of which had a problem with small worms coming from under the bathroom tiles, this was reported to the rep twice, and was never sorted out, the furniture was a little dilapidated, they are in need of a good general overhaul. Cups/plates/saucers etc were a little scarce - one of the two bed roomed apartment for 6, having two cups, 3 plates, and various amount of cutlery but not enough for 6 people to eat in one go. The tiled walkways are in need of attention, as is the area around the pool. The snack bar was great and not bad value for money, with lovely staff. These apartments are in a good location, only a short distance to the town, very near to a beach admittedly not the best beach, but handy nevertheless. They definitely do need some attention, but to be fair we had a great holiday, but that is because we laughed about, what many people would have got stressed about. "

"I definitely did not have a pleasant stay at these apartments. From the very start the night we arrived, the noise outside near the pool was unbearable. We had hardly unpacked our suitcases and all we could hear was shouting and screaming from downstairs, from both the children and adults staying at the resort. We found it hard to sleep almost every night as the noise was so unbearable. We were given a key for the front gate to ensure we were safe, however lots of people coming back late at night just left the gate wide open. I wouldn't recommend the resort to families with small children, as many of the families with toddlers were located on the top floor of the apartments, which in my opinion was not very safe. Also the reception area was poor, as it is closed half the day, and when it is open there is no one there! I wouldn't recommend the apartments to people who are new to the island, as they would not have a clue where to go as there is no information about the area at reception. Also, our room was not very clean as there was dirt on the walls, and the sheets were not cleaned regularly. Also, when the beds were changed, the cleaners only left the bedding on the floor for us to do ourselves. There was also no lamps in our room, and we were missing a coffee table, as well as the mirror in the bedroom being cracked. Our kitchen area lacked basic equipment, and we were left with no kettle or toaster as they had already been occupied by other people staying in the resort. However, we thought this didn't matter at first as we could eat at the poolside snack bar, but the staff only opened it when they felt like it, and we weren't prepared to wait in all day just to have something to eat! The poolside area was not up to standard, as the water hadn't been cleaned and there were dead insects in the water, as well as some of the pool being cracked at the bottom. The area was also prone to a few stray cats which wasn't the most pleasant thing to see on your holiday, so we spent most of the days at the beach. We were also woken up most mornings by workmen cutting down trees and watering the plants at the back of the resort. We came here for a quiet and peaceful holiday, and we certainly didn't get one! I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone, which is a shame as it is located in a great area. However, I would like to recommend some wonderful restaurants we always go to on our visits to Lanzarote: Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Mahatmacote Indian Restaurant Prado Verde Restaurant Splash Snack Bar/Restaurant"

"We have been to Lanzarote twelve times and stayed in many different places, and stayed in El Molino De Guatiza several times and normally it is a pleasant stay. However this time it was a different story as the lack of basic essentials such as a kettle and toaster was shocking and we spent two weeks making our toast over the grill which took so long! Also, the cleanliness of the resort was an issue as the cleaners only came whenever they felt like it and when they did come all they did was sweep the floor and leave spare bedding for us to change ourselves. I thought we were supposed to be on holiday! The apartment had notices near the reception area saying that there was to be no noise at the resort after 10pm as there were small children staying, yet we found ourselves being woken up nearly every night at 3 o'clock because of the noise downstairs. The person who was helpful during our stay was Pepe, the man who lived on the premises himself and understood where we were coming from. And now I can safely say I don't think me and my family will be staying here again and I would also advise other people to stay elsewhere."

"For the past two years me and my family have been back three times to this hotel because we have found it to be the most wonderful place any of us have ever visited. We have never gone back to the same hotel before and to do this now means that there must be something about the hotel and island that many people can love and enjoy. I would recommend this place to any one. It has truly been one of my best experiences i have ever had and all of my happy memories come from this place."
