Fairly decent, but leaves a lot to be desired.
"Me and my parents stayed at the Eden in July this year for 10 nights on an All Inclusive basis, first time we have stayed here but we were with some friends also who have already been a few times. Overall we definitely wouldn't recommend to others or return again, the reasons for that I will explain.
I'll start with the positives, the location is fantastic as being so far high up on the hilltops meant we had some stunning and breath taking views from the Aparthotel and when walking down to the Europa center. The feel of the place was very relaxing and tranquil, equally though the Europa center was just a five minute walk away with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. The supermarket just next to Reception was also handy. Breakfast and lunches were delicious, couldn't fault them. The balcony just outside our apartment was also very nice especially for days you want peace and quiet away from the pool where it was always busy.
Moving on to the negatives, ok so first off the apartment itself whilst it looks very modern and had a high level of cleanliness, the beds were too firm and quite uncomfortable to sleep in, especially at night it was way too hot even with both the living room and bedroom roof fans switched on so we had to pay a 50 euro deposit for a big air conditioning machine but to be honest especially at this time of year when temperatures are between mid forties and fifties a bit of air conditioning is an essential especially for families like us who aren't used to this kind of humidity in the canary islands year after year. Also, the room I slept in with the two twin rooms was way too small, and the beds weren't wide enough for a grown up to sleep in so between all of that I had to eventually sleep on the sofa bed at night which was very comfy and in good condition. The bathrooms in my opinion really should include a bathtub and shower so that people have the option especially when staying for a week or longer and finally water leaking out the shower, which could easily be prevented if there were proper shower doors to open and close, it only had glass going half way along from the the wall next to the sink to the middle of the shower which couldn't be adjusted in any way and even when we put a couple of towels down on the floor, it still caused leaking and of course for them to get soaked which I really feel is a health and safety issue especially for very young children. That brings me onto health and safety actually and there were several breaches of it whilst staying here. First off, round the pool area it's way too slippy even for walking around in sandals or flip flops and there was a few slips and trips with kids but what really got me was when in our last few days we heard of a boy who slipped so bad he cut a part of his head open and had to be rushed to hospital, some of the cutlery for eating meals I noticed weren't properly cleaned and had dirty food stains on them and finally that bridge going from just beside the pool into the bar and dining area was way too steep and felt a bit imbalanced when walking cross it a a lot of the time especially when carrying drinks or food. Sunbeds was a big gripe because a lot of people staying here were having to get up as early as 05:30am-6am to reserve sunbeds as by the time it got to 8am, most of them were full. Afternoon entertainment of bingo party hour for the adults, don't get me wrong it was funny and all around a good bit of fun however eventually day in day out it got quite tedious and feel there could be more variety around afternoon activities at that time. Evening entertainment, cannot comment as we went out every night but we did hear from several guests staying that there wasn't enough people there so the atmosphere wasn't great on most nights. The staff I would say are a bit of a mixed bag, sometimes they were very friendly and made conversation, other times they didn't acknowledge you, seemed a bit off or just looked as if they didn't want to be there.
Disappointing experience and personally just do not understand how so many people think it's brilliant and have been returning year after year.."

my stay in sept
"I don't know what planet the angry lady is from i stayed here for 1 week in Sept all inclusive and i found the staff from reception to bar staff all very friendly we had a room that was facing the pool room no 86 which i didn't like and that was because it had steps next to it leading up to the solarium and next to covered area which got noisy at night but the room was clean and had everything for self catering plus u didn't have to walk up or down 600 steps as the Europa center was not even a 5 minute walk away i will be going back here in Dec 16 as i found it good value for money so angry lady you have not put me of going back here but this time i will upgrade to furnished room."

"Go to the Eden every Xmas and just been back for a week, booked last minute.
Can't believe some of the reviews - staff rude? I don't think so, you couldn't get staff that are more friendly and helpful.
We had a great time last week, as always. If you want 5 Star accommodation you won't get it here, but then again, you don't pay 5 Star prices !!"

Another wonderful holiday
"Just back again from our second time staying at the Eden. We were self catering but there is also the option of All Inclusive. It was very busy but the extremely helpful staff went out of their way to make everything special. Apartments were cleaned ever 2 days with clean towels etc. We are going to book up again for next year. "

A good stay in februari 12
"I am glad to recommend this hotel. The room, the staff, the pool and the facilitys is on top. A very great plus for the familiar feeling and the non-snobbish attitude both from personal and other guests. It is a little of because it is high on the hill between Puerto and Amadores but taxi is cheap and the air up on the hill a little more fresh. The Europe centre is quite near and they have whatever you like + sometimes more.
My only tiny dissapointment was that is not possible to walk out from the hill to the mountains. The only way is down and then find a way up. A few years ago a hotelbuilding was blocking the last path out on the mountain. Enoying !"

Get what you pay for!!
"I Have been to puerto Rico Gran canaria for many years now, and all inclusive is the way forward, as the island is so expensive to eat and drink, there are a few bars where you can drink for 150 a pint but eating is same prices as home. best english breakfast is english bistro on amadores beach, lovely people and great food.
as for eden! the complex is ok really! could do with updating a bit, the rooms were clean and tidy bathroom smelt a bit(men/Boys missing pan) we were here for 7 days and had no sheets changed,no problem with clean towels just sheets.
food was ok if you like rice and chips, chinese food was good as the cooks were chinese i think.
we had pork which was labeled beef.
inclusive drinks stopped at 11pm witch i found anoying as we spent all day down the beach too.
the 2 spanish guys behind the bar were so friendly and bubbly as was the cooks and the chinese lady,
but the chinese man i think his name was ben, was the most rudest and miserable person i ever met,i went to the bar on first day said hello to him as you do, in a stern voice he said what do you want, when you pay all inclusive and your all excited about your holiday and you get that attitude, when i spoke to him as he spoke to me he would avoid serving me. entertainment was poor,we have a snake show whith consisted of two snakes.
if you want all inclusive holiday in puerto rico try riu vistamar, was excellent
all in all would not return to eden myself but you get what you pay for c-ap."

good complex over all execpt the food.
"We arrived on the 13th of august family of 5.So it was only a couple of weeks ago and we had read the reviews for these aparmtents and some were bad but the others were saying what amazing staff and facalities were avalible after being there for 2 weeks we loved it really enjoyable 2 kids parks, pool tables and a big swimming pool to keep the kids entertained. For the adults the sun terrace is the perfect place to go if you want quiet but 4-5 is happy hour so drinks are a bargain at that time and you can also play 3 games of cash bingo everday. Our only problems with the eden was the food i do not recomend. The maids were brillant couldnt fault them aswell as the receptionists and bar staff.Only 2 minute walk to the europa center one bar to recommend is the sports man bar its upstairs. The gardens around the complex were beautiful apartments basic but big and airy and fits 6 people dont listen to the bad reviews a good
complex over all.

"We have just come back from a two week stay at the eden appartments. Although we read the reviews before hand we were a little unsure of what to expect. I can 100% say it was fine for what we needed. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed. The cleaners were brilliant and only missed 2 days of the 2 weeks. All the staff on the complex were brilliant and friendly. After reading reviews that they were rude we never once found this.We had 3 cockroches but there was spray already in the cupboards to deal with this problem. You do see them outside in the evenings but this is through out the whole island. Nothing that a size 8 cant deal with anyhow. You can upgrade to the all inclusive for 30 euros adults and 15 for kids. I would recommend this as it was brilliant. You have to do this for 5 days but the food is brilliant. Taxis are great they work out about £3 and there always around to get one. If you are a bigger party you have to get a few like us as there are no bigger taxis. At this price though it works out fine.
entertainment on site is excellant for all the family to enjoy.
The timeshare salesmen are not a problem just politely say no thanks and carry on walking and they give up or just keep saying we are going home tomorrow.
If you need any tickets for aqualand ect id recommend going in the baracoa centre(inside the europa you cant miss it)and go to the info centre and speak to Gerry he will go out his way to help sort your trips out and he doesn't charge any extra on the tickets he also provides transport there and back for 5 euros each.
enjoy your holiday and try to ignore the negative reviews some people want a 5*complex when they only pay for a 3* which this accomidation is."

Not for me again!
"Just returned from eden apartments, booked this holiday for 12 people. When we arrived in the early hours of the morning we were greeted by a very unhelpful receptionist, we were just handed the keys a map of the rooms and sent on our way, not very helpful.
When we went to the pool in the morning we were greeted with some very aggressive spanish people throwing peoples towels and belongings over hedges because they wanted all the sunbeds for themselves and also grown men threatning my daughter who is 16 and 3 of her friends, I seeked help from nearby resturant manager who was less than helpful. This continued for 1 week and ruined our overall holiday experience. The staff seemed to have family members or staff staying at the resort which caused tension as they seemed to favour the rights of these people rather than paying guests, not impressed by this at all.
Also we were supposed to get 4 rooms, but on arrival were only given 3, the rooms were cramped, not enough wardrobe or drawers available for 4 people staying for 2 weeks. The maid service was sparce, every 2-3 days if you were lucky! Also the rooms on the top level are far to hot and require some sort of air-con. Before booking I was advised this resort was close to the main centre of Puerto Rico, maybe if you were an expert in abseiling. It was 8 euros return in a taxi each time and considering there was 12 of us this was a added expence that in the long run became an expensive one."
