"Staff courteous and helpful, facilities good, service good, cleanliness excellent, kids clubs excellent, entertainment good (day and night) lots of activities in situ during the day mostly pool based but well run and fun. Good shop, good bar, (Carlsberg beer what more do you want) poolside safety is first rate extremely attentive lifeguards, two at all times and a first aid room right there, well equipped right down to a defibrillator. Our apartment was spotless reasonably well equipped and hot, but hey its Spain in July wadda ya expect. Saw one roach whole two weeks in the apartment. Plenty outside but hell go into the woods yourâe gonna see bears. Cheap taxiâs and buses on constant supply, though a 10 min walk and youâre in the big smoke. One criticism the food was good but monotonous seemed to be a limited menu on constant rotation however the a la carte restaurant is excellent. Last criticism (nothing to do with the sun wing) My Travel reps were like hens teeth."

"We have been twice to Sunwing 2004 and 2005 this hotel is 1st class reps were great kids loved them hotel staff could not be more helpful hob packed up one morning at 9 oâclock they had it replaced by 10 oâclock same morning. Reps organised all trips without any pressure to buy the swimming pool was excellent always got sunbeds games organised by reps during the day and night. We are going back to Gran Canaria in may 2006 unfortunately Sunwing is being renovated very disappointed on hearing this would love to have gone back to Sunwing. Just far enough out of town from any noise but not that far to walk all in all i would recommend the Sunwing to anyone reading this if you want a great holiday and a great place to stay go to Sunwing very hard to beat. Well done to Sunwing and all its staff and reps first class."

"Whilst the Hotel is need of touching up here and there it is over all a good hotel. The reps including the kids reps were very helpful and very good at there jobs. The only problems being that the fridgeâs the doors open on themselves so if you have food in the fridge you have to put a chair to stop it opening. The Maids if you donât put the do not disturb on the door they will just walk in and our maid we found her helping herself to our food and drink. And the last day she started swearing at us because we would not get up they had not checked to see if we had paid for a late check out. Which we did. AND BE WARNED THAT THERE ARE BUILDING WORKS RIGHT ACROSS THE ROAD WHICH I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOT. THE DUST GETS EVERY WHERE. But apart from that its a nice place to stay. "

"I found that this hotel was excellent, although the rooms were hot, it wasnât unbearable. the rooms were always cleaned although we werenât always up to let the maid in. As long as you donât leave food lying about there wonât be much ants. We had the choice to rent a safe for the two weeks that wasnât too dear and came into great use, as we were on the ground floor it would have been a bigger possibility to get in to our apartment for burglars. we were also supplied with most cooking appliances apart from a microwave. there is a supermarket beside the pull so there is always somewhere to get food, if your not keen on foreign food, there was plenty of British food. The 2 escapade reps for the hotel were excellent, they were always interested to know how our nights were and were very outgoing, one of them had a couple of nights out with us, they really are a credit to the company. The entertainment reps were good, although only seen them during the day as we were out every night with escapades. during the day though they would get us all involved in playing water polo with the other hotel guests including the kids and parents (and we were three 20year old lads) and they were also very outgoing so they are not just for the kids. Overall our stay was the best weâve had, although being lads who like to have laugh the security guards for the hotel were quite strict and took their job a bit seriously but could easily say they were the best two weeks of our lives. "All I can say is that the staff were more than helpful. They endeavoured to assist no matter how small the problem. I agree about the rooms being hot - we arrived in the early hours of the morning and could not sleep properly. The apartment was not air conditioned & we didnât expect it to be. We hired a fan from reception which wasnât too costly for the week. Food at the resort is good and they also have a full stocked supermarket near to the pool. We had a brilliant time and enjoyed the set trips - to be honest I think we paid more for them than for the rest of the holiday - worth every penny. A must is going into the mountains "on safari" with Johnny and also the Sioux city. Not forgetting the trip to see the gladiators and also the night out with all the reps. Brilliant. Well done Direct Holidays - your reps did you proud!!!!!! "

"Our flight was delayed both outward and on returning by 4 hours and being night flights it wasnât on. The departure time kept changing and they only let us know when the previous departure time had nearly past. When we got to the hotel we were pointed in the right direction and left to our own devises. The apartment was hot and humid and hit you in the face as soon as you walked in and this was in the middle of the night. The balcony looked out directly onto the houses opposite, with just a grassy little bit in between, so it was just like looking at a brick wall. We had requested a high room with a view of either the sea or the pool, but this was like the budget accommodation that was a row of two storey apartments. There was a TV that you had to put money into and then there was nothing on to watch. There were handprints on the living room wall, which when we were leaving we saw the maintenance man go in and paint! A 2-minute job. And the worst of it was there were ants crawling all over the beds. We tried to change rooms but the snotty rep said there wasnât any choice and that there wasnât any sea view from that hotel, which was a complete lie because when we went up in the lift to the top of the main building there was a fantastic panoramic view for miles!! The pool was nice. The dining room was good and was never crowded. The food was good some days and poor on others, repetitive and used left over from the night before to make other meals. (We can tell because we are in the hotel business). The entertainment was poor. It was ok for kids and people who like bingo, but the entertainment was just the reps singing and was total rubbish basically. Talking of the reps they were not very helpful or informative, and we didnât learn much on the welcome meeting at all it was all rather childish the way they spoke to us, and because of the late night arriving we were all tired and not in the mood for jollities so early in the morning, (donât they understand this?) On a positive note go on the cowboy and Indian night to Sioux City it is a good night out. Wouldnât go with first choice or Airtours again!"
