A fab holiday and fab hotel
"This hotel was better than expected. Stayed with my 8yr old granddaughter and was given room on 7th floor. Room.spacious, clean and quiet as far enough away from entertainment. No queuing for food at all, food amazing, staff hard working and friendly. We had a great time, really don't know why people complain as this hotel offers every thing it says. Will definitely be back."

"We have just returned after two days ready to return to the UK. If id been informed that this was a German tourist hotel then i would have gone to another. Pushed in restaurant my grandson actually fell over terrible. Rooms were basic but cleaned every day. A lot of money was spent eating out. Sunbeds ridiculous not enough to go round at all we sat on a wall altogether not a hotel for English tourist at all more of a retirement home for the elderly. Came back to UK more stressed than i was before i went."

"Were just back from a fab week in the Buenaventura hotel. We (myself, partner and 2 children, 7 amd 3) went all inc and it was definately worth it, the children loved the endless soft drinks, ice cream, fruit etc. The food was lovely, lots to choose from and all very delicious. The hotel itself is very nice and clean, our room was lovely (bed was a little on the hard side) The entertainment staff were fantastic, providing games and fun from morning til night and if its quiet you want then just pop around to the other pool as all the the entertainment is mainly in the centre pool. We had a fab week and i would definately reccommend this hotel to a friend."

Be Very Wary
"Ask for a room high up. We had a creeper burglar came into our room while we slept. We had lower floor room. Crime in resort has increased since we were there last. Be careful. The hotel really didnt want to know. They only have one security camera onsite and thats at entrance on way in. Make sure all valuables in the safe which we hired."

Third super holiday here
"Third visit to this hotel and yet again can't really fault it. It suits singles and families is very clean, friendly, the food is pretty good with wide choice. Location is great for what we like which is a stroll to the beach, a short walk to the nightlife. If you choose to stay in, the pool areas are great and entertainment fair. The British pub is very welcoming, cheers Amanda, you were a great hostess we had a fab time. We'll be back again soon."

"Ww went ot this hotel for a week in October. Me, my partner and eight year old daughter. Had a fabulous time. Hotel lovely and clean, pool area great, great entertainment and friendly staff. Happy hour great buy one get one free!Food great, even though given a sitting time we just went when we were ready to eat and that was not a problem. Only down side is that alot of holiday makers pull their sun loungers right to the edge of the pool and whenever my daughter jumped in they were not best pleased getting a little 'splosh' of water on themselves!! lots of room to sit a bit furthur back from the pool though! Definitely recommend had a fantastic and relaxing holiday!"

Lovely island, lovely people
"The hotel is ok, very clean, the food is good and various . It has 2 different big swimming pools, all kind of drinks and pizza near one pool, a thai-massage center and a diving-school, too . The hotel is not very closed to the beach , but there is a bus , free of charge, that takes you there, every hour. In the night is quaiet, maybe some music from another hotel. Lovely !"

We have literally just arrived back!!! ...
"We have literally just arrived back!!! Hotel: Very well cleaned by those lovely ladies. Hardly ever saw a lifeguard so had teenagers splashing people and diving off the rocks by the pool. Very nicely lit up at night, quite romantic. Swimming area: No chance of getting a sunbed unless you are covered in shade or get up at 5 in the morning. Says you have to be out by 6 but people are in there hours longer. Food: Breakfast is cereals and cooked breakfast, with continental too. Shame it was the same over and over again, could have had a bit more choice and could have been cooked for a bit longer. Lunch: Too expensive, ate in snack bar area. Dinner: I can see they tried, but pork everyday!!!! Good selection of salads and puddings, just a shame about the mains. Staff: Lovely people. Always found someone to help if they couldn't but don't always tell the truth. Other People: Such a good place to meet new friends and to have a chat with. Our rep: Abi; Amazing. Although she couldn't be there all the time, she stopped and chatted to us about our time there, gave us some information on what to do as we got bitten and swapped our excursions after a nasty time on one. Points: * You need lots of money * Excursions are good but very expensive. * Drinks are NOT included in your evening meal, even if you are half board"

Just arrived back from 2 weeks in this r...
"Just arrived back from 2 weeks in this resort. The Hotel Buenaventura was excellent. I had read reviews before I went and was abit dubious at to what to expect but all in all we had nothing to worry about as the hotel was great. We were greeted upon arrival by excellent english speaking reception staff and when we checked in and arrived at our room it was just as described on the internet. The rooms were very spacious, we had 2 children with us, aged 12 and 1 and we had a cot in the room, the sofa bed was pulled out ready and there was still lots of space. We were located in the rear end of the hotel opposite the childrens pool, which in my opinion is the quieter end. Your room consists of a tv ( with a few sky channels ) music available via a switch on the wall. We didnt have air conditioning however even in August and the weather being mad hot the room wasnt too warm at all, quite comfortable to sleep in. The hotel consisted of different nationalities, dutch, german, english and spanish to name a few. There were quite a few groups of young dutch lads however they werent too rowdy and we had no complaints. We did have young dutch lads at the side of us and altho we came in one night to music and chatter as they were drinking on the balcony as soon as they heard us come in and the baby crying they turned the music off and the noise died down.... soo all credit to the lads there! The hotel is in a good location, about 2 mins to the left of the hotel is the irish centre, and then 2 mins to the right of the hotel the kasbah centre.... a small 10mins walk to the british and yumbo centre. The yumbo centre is def. worth a visit. a real bustling centre at night, lots of shopping to be done and lots of bars and restaurants. A real eye opener as it is a Gay centre and therefore there is alot of drag artists etc.. but alot of fun to be had there! a fab night!!! The food in the hotel was typical hotel food, it wasnt fantastic but it wasnt awful either..... we did get abit fed up of the same things every night and did go out in an evening for meals just to try something different. The breakfasts were fine though and there was plenty of choice. Bacon is typical streaky stuff and mostly the sausages were the hotdog ones.... occasionally there were proper sausages. All hotel staff were pleasant and I would say this contributes to a lovely stay at the hotel.... they were very helpful. We managed to keep our room at the end of the holiday due to a late flight home.. the cost was 22 euros to stay until 8pm. The hotel has 3 pools, the main pool in my opinion is for the young ones, music blaring out all day, water volley ball, games etc.... run by the animation team. Then there is the 2nd pool ( with the bridge and 2 jacuzzi's ) which most families seem to head for... this is super and much quieter... then there is the secluded kiddies pool at the rear end of the hotel... this is shaded for much of the day altho it does get a couple of hours of sunshine in the afternoon but not many people seem to go here... there is also a kiddies play area near this pool. There is a hotel gym, massage centre, hairdressers and lots lots more!! The hotel prices are fair... in fact the price of a pint of lager was cheaper in the hotel, the irish bars out and about were much more expensive. The hotel also runs a card system where you top up your card with euro's and use this when you pay.... this entitles you to 10% discount off all your purchases to things are even more cheaper..... and there is no catch..what ever is on your card when you leave you get refunded in total. The resort of playa del ingles is more suited to young ones we didnt find many family bars.... a couple we did find are WEMBLY's and MACKERS.... they catered for kids and had quizzes bingo and fun and games in the evenings. We did go out to the Kasbah Centre in the evening and have a couple of good nights but i felt very uncomfortable with a baby out late at night as there was lots of clubs and young ones around. Playa del ingles beach is lovely, if you goto the left side of the beach when you use to beach lift this is more family orientated and if you have a pram then there is not alot of sand to deal with to get your buggy onto the beach... a tip in my opinion is to buy your own beach brollie ( about 7 euro's ) and a couple of beach mats and head down to the front of the beach and set up camp there. much cheaper and much more baby friendly as the sand doesnt get everywhere and all over you. Oh and dont forget the hotel happy hours, they were 4pm till pm5 and 12 till 1am. all drinks half price and well worth it!!! "

"just returned from 2 weeks at the buenaventura i must say i was amazed at the top quality of the hotel, made to feel really welcome on arrival, bedrooms were of a very high quality, very large with fantastic views over the pool areas. hotel very clean, the food was fantastic with a hugh chouice of food put on so much weight. the entertainment in the evenings at the hotel was first class, with some really good international acts. the hotel entertainment team were first class, and were very good with the children. the hotel offered a free hourly bus service to the beach . drinks at the hotel were very cheap. the hotel was in a great location, very near to the beach and local shopping centres. taxi are so cheap the only thing i would advise people to be aware of is the coloued ladies on the beach area who come and shake your hand and manage to slip bracelets on your wristd before you know what is happening and then demanding hugh amounts of money for them ,they will even try and look in your pockets and bags if you say you dont want them to get some money they can be a bit scary. so dont ever shake there hands.but other than that it was a great holiday, perfect weather betwween 32-38.great family holiday"

"Hotel: Reception staff very helpful, spoke English (which is always a bonus). Pools are well maintained, two big ones to choose from. One pool is the "animation pool" which is great if you have children, and the other is slightly more quiet in terms of hotel staff. We stayed by the children's pool for a few days - more shade and there was only around eight people there at the most. Though too shallow for swimming in! There were jacuzzi's in the middle of one of the pools, which were cold but still fun. There was also a gym, which you had to pay to use, and also a place to rent out bikes. This hotel also has a 0 tolerance on people getting up at six to put towels on sunbeds. Everyday at 9, they take all of the towels already on sunbeds, off. So you have a good chance at wandering down at half nine - ten and getting a sunbed!!! Food in hotel: We ate breakfast there three times in the week. Breakfast was the usual thing you expect for any hotel, though i didn't dare to try the fried stuff - it looked a bit pale looking! We didn't eat the dinner at all, so wouldn't know what that was like but would definitely recommend eating out. If B&B is an option - take that. Resort: The resort was quite nice - plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs. Along the sea front there was a lot of restaurants, but wouldn't recommend going to this particular beach, as it was quite dirty with a lot of oil. The hotel does run a free bus service to Playa Del Ingles beach - though the last service back was at 15:45. Didn't go to this beach, but have heard its really nice. All in all - if you can afford to eat out it would do a lot for this holiday. Would 100% stay at this hotel again. But if you're going for the food (like some of the reviews below), I wouldn't risk it. Go for a five star elsewhere! Enjoy your holiday :)"
